This was inevitable. You don't put three talents of this caliber together in a league that eats, sleeps, drinks and s***s superstars and not win. I don't understand why anybody would suddenly lose interest now that the Heat have won. Sounds like sour grapes to me. As for LeBron, there's really nothing left to say. He's one of the ten best players to ever play the game and will likely garner legitimate GOAT discussion by the time he hits 30. To do what he did this year. This f***ed up, shortened season in which guys like Dirk Nowitzki, last year's finals MVP, admittedly came into out of shape (of course, that was ok because he's dirk and nobody hates him), LeBron was beast from day one. People want to talk about he took the easy road to win. Again, that's just emotional hatred and laziness on the part of fans. Yes, winning in Cleveland would've been amazing and the more romantic story. But here are the facts: Wade missed 17 games this year and coasted in about a dozen others. He was up and down all playoffs. Sure, Wade is by far the most talented teammate LeBron has ever had. But this was far from '06 Wade or even '09 Wade that won the scoring title. Chris Bosh missed 18 games (9 regular season, 9 playoffs). He came back and obviously made them better. They likely don't win without him. But still. This wasn't all-star Chris Bosh this postseason. The Heat have undoubtedly the worst C rotation the game has ever seen. Joel Anthony? Ronny Turiaf? Udonis Haslem? GMAFB. The rest of this roster is just garbage. Their guys have their moments. But c'mon now. This roster 4-12 is pretty embarrassing (and the only legitimate reason that anybody here had to believe the Bulls could beat the Heat). This was LeBron's show. Period. End of story. -

QUOTE (Brian @ Jun 21, 2012 -> 03:46 PM) It's a shame Lebron douched his way to Miami because he has been borderline dominant in the playoffs. Wade has been average and outside Game 4, you forget Bosh is on the floor. Say what you want about other teams and injuries and the short season, but Lebron has earned this ring with clutch play. /trying to jinx Miami Borderline dominant? What's your definition of outright dominant? 40/20/10? -

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jun 20, 2012 -> 09:50 AM) Age 27 was Jordan's 7th year in the league. It's LeBron's 9th. Kobe won his first at age 21 in his 4th year. LeBron's shot at being GOAT is gone, partially because Jordan's resume reads like a myth, Kareem's longevity and dominance put him up there, Wilt was an inhuman machine, and Russell has 11 rings. Those are the four I always see as main GOAT contenders (though I obviously think it's Jordan and I don't feel Russell should be up there) and I can't see LeBron matching any of those four. That being said, if the Heat go on a crazy run, I can see LeBron punching his way into the Top 5. Wait a minute. Did you just suggest that Bill Russell is one of the 4 greatest players to ever live? We're done, Q. Forever. -

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 20, 2012 -> 09:18 AM) It depends on what type of run the Heat are about to go on, because statistically, you can't argue with LeBron being one of the best ever. He's the age that Jordan won his first title, and already more accomplished in piling up stats across the board. LeBron can finally not be a villain, because people can finally stop being terrified of the "big three" winning a title. This is LeBron's title, and Wade and Bosh have simply been spectators. ...waits for the Thunder to make history to make this post look dumb. This is probably your best post since before The Decision. There was part of me that was angry and bitter that LeBron didn't choose to take his talents to the Windy City. But I got over it. He's one of the more unique talents in the history of sports. Not just the NBA. It looks as if he's going to get his title. And if he does, this season, not just the playoffs, will go down as one of the singular I straight own that ass because I'm better than you runs the game has ever seen. -

The Heat's supporting cast have shown up and then some. Battier went nuts the first two games. Last night it was Cole in the first half and Chalmers pretty much the whole game. That's been the main difference (that and LeBron). Hate the Heat until you're 6-feet under. But they've learned and matured from last year. They have heart. They don't wilt now like they did when Dallas had the audacity to challenge them. That said, this series is far from over if the Thunder can get it back to OKC. -

QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Jun 15, 2012 -> 12:43 PM) Badger does seem to constantly complain about refs, but come on J4L, you can't ADMIT that you didn't watch the game and then basically call everyone a bunch of crybabies for complaining about the officials. This has been happening all postseason. This wasn't just last night. -

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jun 15, 2012 -> 12:19 PM) Yet we are pathetic. Perhaps you should watch the game you seem to think you know so much about. Lunch time! I don't know who you think you are. I guess you're a lawyer or a lawyer in training or whatever. But please, would you STFU? You have spent this ENTIRE postseason b****ing, whining, moaning, complaining and any other word you can think of about the referees. You did it in the Bulls/Sixers series. You did it with the heat/pacers. You did it with the heat/cetlics. And you're doing it now. FIND ANOTHER SPORT TO WATCH. Get over the decision and the dumb party afterwards. it was two years ago. You add absolutely nothing. people can disagree with me all they want. But i do bring something to this thread, whether you, or anybody else, want to admit it or not. Go support sandusky and just stfu. -

I do think you need to break the crush on Felix though, crying over someone ignoring a thread is pretty hilarious. I wasn't talking about you. I was referring to rock. -

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 15, 2012 -> 11:50 AM) The big Minnesota Twins message board has a forum for sports. They don't have an NBA thread, but they do have a Timberwolves AND a Kevin Love thread. I think Soxtalk does a good job talking about the other teams. However 98% of us are Bulls fans, and we had the best record 2 years running and a 23 year old who won MVP. We lost our collective minds. Get the f*** over it, J4L. It's not like your Knicks analysis was spot on and incredible. You're not some NBA genius. Dude, shut up. It's not about being right or wrong. And I've never claimed to be some kinda genius. This thread is horrible. I can't even learn anything from this thread when i'm sober. I didn't even see the game last night and i knew that once i came here that soxbadger and the rest of the gang would be crying about the refs over and over and over and over and over again. It's pathetic. -

QUOTE (WHarris1 @ Jun 15, 2012 -> 11:48 AM) Naturally on a board where 90% of the NBA fans are Bulls fans the Bulls are going to be loved and the Heat are going to be hated. s*** I can't believe more people don't extol the virtues of the Detroit Tigers in the Diamond Club! Fine. Makes two separate threads. One thread for all things bulls at all times. and another for nba talk. It's bulls*** that felix doesn't post here anymore. -

You and everybody here owes me for bringing some variety and a different perspective to this abomination of a thread. You and the rest of the crybabies in here chased off one of the best posters (felix) this board has ever seen. Why? Because he chose not to suck Rose's cock and recognize this is the NBA thread and not the Bulls thread aka Rose is so amazing because he's humble aka the refs are the reason the bulls ever lose aka LeBron should never see the ft line and if he does its a conspiracy garbage. -

I'm just saying, I learned absolutely nothing from this documentary that I didn't already know. It's too bad there were no cell phone cameras and s*** back then. I got the feeling that some of the guys were really diggin' some of the female attention they got. We know Michael stuck his dick in just about anything. I've heard Ewing was the same way. That would've been more entertaining than details of how competitive practice was. We knew that back in 1998. -

QUOTE (buhbuhburrrrlz @ Jun 13, 2012 -> 10:00 PM) That Dream Team special they aired tonight was awesome. So many hilarious moments. It was alright. Nothing really ground-breaking: 1:We've known for years that Michael wanted no part of Isaiah and that's why he was left off the team. 2: We've known for years that Charles says whatever he wants to whenever he wants to. 3: We've known for years that everybody (including the players) thought Christian Laettner being on the team was a joke 4: We've known for years that the Dream Team's opponents were in awe and didn't care about losing by 60. 5: We've known for years that Scottie, at the time, hated Toni Kukoc and made it a point to stick it to Jerry Krause by embarrassing him. Basically, it's been 20 years and you knew they were going to do some kinda special. It's done now. Time to stop looking back and enjoy what we have today. -

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jun 13, 2012 -> 09:25 AM) When Westbrook wins the MVP while taking a team full of no all-stars to the eastern conference finals, then he can be compared to Rose. Until then he's a great guard with a great burst who has the best player in the game, the best sixth man in the game, and the best shot-blocker in the game on his team. So.... yeah. lol. Wait a minute. Three months ago when I said I didn't think the Bulls could beat the Thunder if they met in the finals I was accused of not being a fan and basically bum-rushed by everybody here. Now everybody is suddenly conceding the massive talent gap between the two teams. Alrighty then. -

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jun 13, 2012 -> 03:38 AM) Difference between Rose and Westbrook: Rose: Westbrook: lol@q. I'm surprised somebody as young as you would take this attitude. I'm 28 and I love these "new" styles that you see today. Suit and tie EVERY day is boring to me. It's 2012. Not 1996 with Jordan and his $20, 000 suit and gold loop earring (that he still wears) he wore after every single game. -
QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Jun 13, 2012 -> 02:17 AM) Speaking of short stops, when do we start worrying about Alexei Ramirez and his .525 OPS? I feel that he's gotten a free pass all year. He's been just awful.

QUOTE (kev211 @ Jun 13, 2012 -> 01:19 AM) Remember when you were talking about the Spurs going 16-0 in the playoffs? I agree with you though I picked OKC to win in 5 earlier today and they showed it tonight. And at the time it was legit. They were 10-0 in the playoffs at that point and had won 31-33 overall. And the fact that the Thunder completely dispatched them 4 games straight leaves little to no margin for error for the Heat. They can toy with this s***ty eastern conference full of flawed, imbalanced teams, as they have the last two years. The Thunder are just different. They're not beating them 4/5. Game 2 is a must. -

QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Jun 12, 2012 -> 11:02 PM) Rose has to carry the Bulls night in and night out while Westbrook has two other elite scorers on the roster. They have relatively similar skills, but Rose is more consistent, a little less mistake prone and a slightly better shooter. I can agree with the bolded. Other than that, I just don't see any legitimate difference. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 12, 2012 -> 11:05 PM) That game went as expected. Oh, and if Rose had Durant and Harden on his team he'd have a PER of 40. Yeah, not really. -
