If the Thunder can keep their quartet of KD, Westbrook, Harden and Ibaka together long-term, they are just going to terrorize the western conference for a while. -
Greg is goin' for poster of the year or something. A lie detector test? lmao. I can't even hold my beer down.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ May 21, 2012 -> 07:07 AM) Yea but Chauncey hasn't been healthy for a number of years now, counting on him to be around to lead the charge was foolish. So sad to see VDN lose in a sweep after all of the s*** he went through in Chicago..... What are you talking about? Chauncey never had a major injury before this year. He's played in at least 70 games every year since 2001 before this year. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ May 21, 2012 -> 08:19 AM) I'VE SEEN ENOUGH, THE CLIPPERS ARE A TITLE CONTENDER. Yes, that was J4L after a preseason game I believe. Sorry Jordan, your posts in this thread just stick with me because you're so over the top most of the time. Hey, they got the 4-seed in a tough conference short-handed, upset a favored Memphis team, and then ran into the '96 Bulls. What can I say? -

QUOTE (SoxAce @ May 21, 2012 -> 01:11 AM) Their offensive structure is very stagnant. Absolutely no creative plays (other than lob city) or flow in their game. Lots of dribbling and no execution (it's seriously like watching their small guards look like Kirk Hinrich). Great building blocks for the future, but they better hope Blake finds a better box game.. and soon. Their final two plays describes VDN to a tee. I agree. Though I think a healthy Chauncey Billups improves their half-court offense immensely. I expected Blake to improve off his spectacular "rookie" season. He was still good. But Kevin Love shot right past him. They need to get some better pieces around their two stars. -
lmao@a lie detector test.

Second consecutive 4-game sweep for the Spurs. 18 consecutive wins dating back to April 11. Watched the entire game tonight and never thought once that the Clippers were going to actually win, even when they went up 5 late in the 4th. -

40-18-9? wtf? Oh well. Indiana pretty much blew it. Winning game 3 would mean nothing without taking game 4 as well. -
QUOTE (TaylorStSox @ May 19, 2012 -> 11:44 AM) How can you be pissed at a GM taking a flier on Manny Ramirez, "the" Manny Ramirez, the best RH hitter of our generation not named Thomas or Pujols , Manny Ramirez? It's too bad we ended up with corpse of Manny Ramirez, but he's still Manny f***in Ramirez. You mean the same Ramirez that was busted for PED's in 2009 and then spent three separate stints on the DL in 2010 before the White Sox came calling? lol@taking a flier. They took a flier on Phil Humber. They spent $4 million bucks on Manny for 30 days to get them to the playoffs. Didn't end so well.

Joe, Steve - it's hockey. It's not a even a real sport. No need to bicker over an illusion.

QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ May 18, 2012 -> 10:50 PM) The refs doing everything they can do keep the Lakers in the game tonight. It's starting to even out. Every time I watch this Thunder team, I end up saying to myself multiple times: how in the hell do you hit the lotto (no pun intended) on three consecutive lottery picks? -
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ May 18, 2012 -> 11:35 PM) Davey Johnson says hello. You might only be talking NL, but Buck Showaler has the AL award locked up if the season ended today. Fine. Throw Johnson in there. But Ozzie Guillen? No, sir. He's just not a good manager at all.
-
QUOTE (greg775 @ May 18, 2012 -> 11:26 PM) Serious question: Is Oz a candidate for manager of the year? Three over .500 and right there. Hell f***in' no. Don Mattingly, Mike Matheny and Fredi Gonzalez are the only legit candidates right now. Ozzie is nowhere near in the discussion.

QUOTE (greg775 @ May 18, 2012 -> 02:59 PM) The best thing is we win now and AJ and Peavy and the Sox leaders blast the s*** out of Samarj for his act of brutality. His act of brutality? -

It's May 18th and Ramirez is still trash. Who was it that said one of these years he's gonna start slow and not come out of it? -

Alexei Ramirez has been arguably the worst everyday SS in baseball so far. -

QUOTE (Brian @ May 18, 2012 -> 10:31 AM) Is The great DeAndre Jordan gonna do anything besides just be tall and jump? Nope, he's garbage. If you can't improve with Chris Paul then you're just not that good. -

QUOTE (buhbuhburrrrlz @ May 18, 2012 -> 09:19 AM) NOOOO KID K BREAKING: Kerry Wood to announce retirement today from the #Cubs. I know as Sox fans it's pretty much required to make fun of Wood. I've done it for years. But when he was healthy, man, I couldn't help but be jealous. And the 20 K game is still to this day one of the top 3 or 4 pitching performances I've ever witnessed. If you guys remember, the Michael Jordan Bulls had a playoff game that same night. And the #1 sports story that night and the next day was Wood's performance. With that said, LMAO@Wood for game 7 against the Marlins. -

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 18, 2012 -> 08:19 AM) Wow, you are a trail blazer. Where did you come up with this information? Thank the Lord someone pointed out that the 1 seed in the West is a good team. I know it's obvious. I'm just saying, this thread is pretty much Bulls, Bulls, Bulls, cry about the refs EVERY single night and I guess hating on the Heat. That's why Felix bolted. Which is a shame. But he's just a boring T-wolves fan. He doesn't fit in around here. -
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 17, 2012 -> 11:25 PM) I could be wrong, but I would guess the average 3B OPS HAS to be lower than 724. I'm guessing 675-710. I can't find the link. But the average OPS for 3B last year was .688.

QUOTE (MAX @ May 17, 2012 -> 11:40 PM) Have you never gave a ticket to a family member or friend? Nope. If somebody gives me free tickets, I'm either going to the game or making a profit.
-
QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ May 17, 2012 -> 11:03 PM) I had free tickets to the Sox - Cubs game at Wrigley tomorrow. I gave them away. I will not give one red cent of my money to the Ricketts family. Gave them away? Tell me you at least sold them. Otherwise, that was pretty dumb.

I guess I'll say it because nobody else has or will...the Spurs are pretty f***ing good. 27-2 in their last 29 games dating back to the regular season. I can't even put into words what Popovich has done with that team. How he was able to balance trying to win games while at the same time getting a sufficient amount of rest for his key guys (i.e. benching Duncan for being old at times) to keep them healthy and fresh for the playoffs defies explanation. Duncan hasn't looked this good in years. Thunder/Spurs is going to be one f***ing awesome conference final. -

Joel Anthony with 1 rebound in 25 minutes. Amazing how in two years they haven't been able to find just a decent C. -

QUOTE (Jake @ May 17, 2012 -> 08:26 PM) The Heat are good for the NBA. And I think the less they win in the postseason, the better. They can milk this "when will the big 3 win?" thing for at least a couple more years. Might not be a big 3 next year. After what they did two summers ago, to be ringless two years later is unacceptable.
