Don't know a damn thing about Hoiberg as a coach. Just get with the current times. That's all I can hope for for now. Get with the god damn times. -

QUOTE (LDF @ May 28, 2015 -> 07:52 PM) i would like to add this, whomever the bulls have as an idea to coach, will have some input. i like the possibility of the kids from kentucky-booker, utah-wright or even that kid from norte dame. i just see them have a real need at pg. too bad they don't have their other 1 rounder which reverted back to the kings on the protected top 10. on another topic, i really wonder if FH - will coach the team, i wonder who will be the assistants. No way in hell Booker make it to #22. I forgot about Wright. Certainly wouldn't be a bad pick, as the Bulls do need a PG. You're right. We have to wait and see who the next coach is (hopefully he'll reveal what type of system he wants to run, etc) and we'll get a better feel of what type of player we hope to select. -

QUOTE (LDF @ May 28, 2015 -> 07:13 PM) until i hear anything concrete from anymore twitter or sports link. i would like to talk about something that been on my mind since the season ended. the draft. at their pick, who will the bulls select?? pg or center?? any other thoughts of other positions?? From what mocks I've seen, there won't be a pg or c worth a damn when the Bulls pick. I'm a big Rondae Hollis-Jefferson fan. Ideal wing size with freakish athleticism/length. He's got all-league defensive potential. Of course, his jumpshot/3-point shooting is lacking. I'd love it if the Bulls picked him. -

QUOTE (CrimsonWeltall @ May 27, 2015 -> 08:12 AM) Nah. Definitely not worse than that stretch of Eastern teams from the early 2000s. '99 to '03 was easily the worst. -

And for those that like to mock me- "Kyrie and Love have never been to the playoffs", "The Cavs will struggle in year one", "Cleveland won't be good enough defensively". GMAB. They have LeBron. LeBron is 4 wins away from basketball immortality (and he knows it). -

This is just unbelievable what they're doing to Atlanta. And for the haters, the Hawks were 22-8 against the west. They were a really good team until they saw LeBron/Cavs. -

QUOTE (Boogua @ May 26, 2015 -> 08:49 PM) Carroll is hobbled, Korver is out, and they didn't even look like the same offensive team throughout the majority of the playoffs (against the Nets or Wizards) before those guys got hurt. We'll see how improved they are when they face Golden State. They very well could be as much improved as you think, but I'm not going to use the Eastern Conference to base my judgement. The hawks are 2/16 from 3 now and lots of these haven't even been contested. Oh, don't get me wrong. The Warriors will be the ULTIMATE test. Just saying that everybody thought Cleveland's D would be their downfall. In Mozgov, LeBron, Shumpert and Thompson, they have 4 above average defenders in their starting lineup. -

QUOTE (Boogua @ May 26, 2015 -> 08:36 PM) I agree that they've looked better, but the teams they have been playing haven't been world beaters offensively to say the least. The Golden State series at least looks interesting now. I'm not sure how Golden State will keep Thompson off the offensive glass. Atlanta was one of the elite/efficient offenses in the league. Cleveland's D has just swallowed them whole for the most part. Thompson/Shumpert in the starting lineup has improved their defense tremendously. -

Love going down and Smith's suspension was the best thing to ever happen to the Cavs' defense. -

If Cleveland's roleplayers are going to continue to play like they are then they are going to have a legit shot at beating GS. -

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ May 25, 2015 -> 09:05 PM) He jumped up to block an Ariza shot and went over Ariza. Hit his head hard. Doesn't look good. He walked off under his own power. This has been the least enjoyable playoffs for me in a long time. #injuries -

QUOTE (greg775 @ May 25, 2015 -> 02:36 PM) Buehrle would be great but he should never have been allowed to leave in the first place.

LeBron with one of the the uglier triple doubles I can recall. He's turning the ball over like crazy. -

QUOTE (Brian @ May 24, 2015 -> 12:46 PM) I'd go with 99-00 Lakers for now but if they sweep Cleveland, hard to disagree. I go back and fourth on the '00 lakers and the '01 lakers. If you could somehow combine the '00 lakers reg season with the '01 lakers postseason, you 'd have the greatest team in any sport ever. Of course, you can't do that. I'd go '01 lakers if only because that was the year Kobe elevated his game to superstar status while Shaq was still at his peak. -

QUOTE (chw42 @ May 24, 2015 -> 02:08 AM) lol considering you exaggerate a lot, this doesn't say much of anything. You're an Analytics guy. All the evidence is there. The Warriors could very well be the best team we've seen since the 72-win Bulls. Of course, they have to finish by beating Cleveland. -

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ May 23, 2015 -> 10:04 PM) You know, I'm not gonna disagree on that. This team is frightening on both ends. Outside of the Shaq/Kobe Lakers, I can't think of any team post-2000 better than these Warriors. -

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ May 23, 2015 -> 09:20 PM) Obligatory Warriors post. They just might be the best nba team (no hyperbole here, check the numbers) of the 21st century. And much props to Steve Kerr for, despite playing in the 80's and 90's, recognizing that it's a MUCH different game/era and adapting to it. You got Phil/Fisher running the f***ing triangle in 2015. -

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ May 22, 2015 -> 09:44 PM) They will. Easily. Cleveland is playing out of their minds tonight but Atl never had a shot this series. Thompson and Shumpert have been playing "out of their minds" long before tonight. -

QUOTE (Boogua @ May 22, 2015 -> 09:28 PM) Those guys are really bad all stars. Their two best players (Horford and Milsap) couldn't even make any of the all NBA teams over guys like Gasol and Duncan. It still seems insane to me that Kyle korver made the all star game also. They're also playing so far under the screen when guarding Teague it amazes me that an NBA player can't hit a shot that wide open. It's funny to me. Everybody hates "super-teams" yet a team like the Hawks, without a superstar, gets s***ted on as well. The Hawks are a good team. They have a system on offense and defense and the players to execute that system. I kept saying over and over again the Cavs before the two big trades aren't the same Cavs after the big trades. They went 34-9 to finish the reg season and LeBron and/or Kyrie missed some of those 9 losses. I still don't see any scenario in which the Cavs beat GS without a close to 100% Kyrie Irving. But they are/were that good. -

QUOTE (Boogua @ May 22, 2015 -> 09:03 PM) The Hawks might be the worst team I've ever seen in the eastern conference finals. A team with 4-all-stars? I'm sure you could find a team from the awful late 90's/early 2000's era worse than the Hawks. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ May 22, 2015 -> 09:12 PM) Please god let the Warriors beat LeBron. Jesus. QUOTE (SoxAce @ May 19, 2015 -> 08:06 PM) Lakers pick 2nd. It'll be interesting to see where they go there. They'd be stupid as hell not to take Russell or Mudiay . Okafor would've been the easy choice ten years ago. Game has changed quite a bit.
