As wite mentioned earlier, the Diamondbacks are a different animal right now. I don't think 100 wins, assuming they stay reasonably healthy, is out of the question. Their amatuer scouts all deserve SERIOUS raises. I've never really been jealous of another team. But the way they draft/develop talent gets me hot. The only reason we have CQ is because they draft/develop so well.

The Spurs simply own the Suns. They're gonna be a tough out for any western conference team.

Arizona, in my opinion, is the class of the NL. If their offense continues to thrive at the current pace it is now for a full season (a very realistic possibliity), they're by far and away the best in the NL. Their pitching? Webb/Haren is easily the best 1-2 combo in the NL. Owings/Johnson makes up a nice 3/4. Who's their 5th starter again? Doesn't really matter. They're a definite contender. I like the Cubs in their division. That's all. Their rotation is too shaky (sucks) after Zambrano. So they're a contender in their division. A pretender come playoff time (like last year). Oakland is a definite pretender. They'll finish third in that division for obvious reasons. Cardinals and Brewers are contenders simply because their division sucks. Baltimore and Florida are pretenders. Although I'd love it if both of them kept up their current pace.

I'm just happy that the starting pitching is still getting the job done. I think our 'pen will be fine in the long-run. Uribe? Yes. He must go. I'm done defending his sorry ass.

Man are the D-backs fun to watch. Webb, Haren and Owings are a combined 12-0. I can't think of a better trio at the moment. They're much better offensively than they were a year ago. Bullpen is still solid. There's nobody close to them in the NL right now (that includes the Cubs, fathom).

Fathom is like two different posters when talking about the Cubs and Sox. The Sox could be 55-25 and he'll find a negative somewhere. With the Cubs, it's all sunshine. Anyway, we all knew the Cubs were better than the Reds and Pirates. Big deal. They've got the Mets and Rockies coming up. I believe they play the Cardinals, Brewers, D-backs and Padres the first couple weeks of next month. So we will indeed find out just how good they are (and then fathom can really get excited).

The Sox will be the envy of the league if both Danks and Floyd prove to be for real.
