  1. It's still early, but the NL is even worse than I thought. Some of these offenses are just pathetic.
  2. Thank you Dbacks scouts/player development team. If not for you we wouldn't have CQ.
  3. Cubs obviously don't have much confidence in Pie. First Reed Johnson and now another old bum who's best days are well behind him.
  4. Bearsox, it was sarcasm. The point was how is Greg Walker responsible for two proven hitters (one being a potential HOF) sucking so badly.
  5. So what genius hitting coach are we supposed to aquire to get career-long bums like Jim Thome and Paul Konerko to hit?
  6. I still can't bring myself to blame Greg Walker. I could see if we were talking about a bunch of young guys. But that's definitely not the case. Hiring a new hitting coach won't in any shape, or form, get these guys to hit.
  7. You're right. Theirs is better. I should've said Chicago has the best skyline in the United States.
  8. I nominate the Celtics as the worst road playoff team of all-time.
  9. The goal for completion is 2010, correct? I can't wait. The best skyline in the world gets that much better. Aren't there other building in the process of construction right now? And what's up with the Trump Tower? Has that been completed?

Damn, Felix. You're cooler than I thought. We need to drink sometime. I'll wax your ass in a drinking contest.
  11. Paul's slam was definitely more dramatic. But the bottlomline is it was Podsednik's HR that actually won the game. And from my point of view, that's when the series ended. There was no doubt the Sox were gonna win after that game. So Blum's HR, IMO, wasn't as big. And atleast you give Pods his due for 2005. Many here don't. Which makes me appreciate what he meant to us that year that much more.
  12. Thanks, Y2HH. That's exactly what I needed to hear. LOL. It's cool. I don't expect a cakewalk in CC. I'll just have to tough it out for 10 days. I was told that if I don't give them any s*** I can be out in 5. So I'll definitely be on my best behavior.
  13. I'll definitely send you a list before the deadline. I'm too drunk to do it right now.
  14. Whitesox101, as good as that play was that Anderson made last night, it wasn't as tough as the play he would've had to make on the ball Mauer hit. As much as I love Brian (only Heads loves him more), he can't make every spectacular play.
  15. I know what day it is. The point of that post was to point out that no matter what anybody has to say about Pods, he hit the biggest HR in White Sox history. For that, he'll always have a special place in White Sox lore.
  16. Back at .500. Now time to blow right past it.
  17. There's no reason we shouldn't sweep this team. Now that I said that will probably lose the next 2.
  18. Can somebody tell me what seperates the Cubs from the Astros? They mirror each other in a lot of ways. They both sport explosive offenses (Houston has a lot more speed with Bourne and Matsui). They both have proven #1 starters in Zambrano and Oswalt, but are suspect 2-5. Bullpens are pretty similiar with the Cubs, IMO, having a slight edge with Marmol. I ask because nobody talks about the Astros as a contender in that wimpy division.
  19. Just got home. Did Jose look as good as his line suggests?
  20. Cool. I agree with you then. I've only seen random highlights of DeWiitt. But he looks pretty solid defensively.
  21. So it took all of 28 career games for you to deem DeWitt as good or better defensively than Joe Crede? Are you talking just for this season? You have to come with a little more when making a crazy claim like that.
  22. Games like tonight are so hard to stomache. Not one positive from tonight's game. Not one. And to add insult to injury we had to wait damn near two hours for the game to start. Just a horrible night.
  23. Yo fathom, is Reed Johnson still a "superb" pickup? You had me rollin' when you said that s***.
