  1. QUOTE(SnB @ Mar 24, 2006 -> 03:30 PM) The only relief pitchers I have faith in right now is politte and cotts. Everyone else seems to have question marks surrounding them right now. Yeah, it's possible that jenks and bmac won't have the problems we're worried about, but I wouldn't call them solid yet. You can call Jenks solid based on what he did last year. Can he do it again is the question.
  2. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Mar 24, 2006 -> 03:24 PM) I think we should also give the pen a little time to actually see what happens. Yes, we're short but we still have 4 pretty damn good arms in there, and with our starters we aren't going to have to use the 5 and 6 guys in there that often in critical situations. It would be nice to get another arm there is no doubt but I also don't think it's time to hit the panic button yet. Couldn't have said that any better.
  3. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Mar 24, 2006 -> 02:00 PM) I posted this in the other thread too so here goes. Thoughts on LSU/Texas? I think this will be a great battle between 2 very evenly matched teams. The key is which teams guards can hit some perimeter shots, whoever does that IMO wins because I think the great front lines of these 2 teams will cancel each other out. I'm going to say Daniel Gibson and the senior Paulino come up big and Texas wins a close one. I'm gonna go with Texas because I have them in the Final Four. But I wouldn't be surprised in the least if LSU pulled it out. Like you said, the front-courts cancel each other out. I might give LSU the advantage on the perimiter.
  4. QUOTE(Palehosefan @ Mar 24, 2006 -> 01:43 PM) http://mb21.scout.com/fmaryland43696frm6.s...cID=63187.topic Hilarious. I really liked the Custer picture. LMAO!
  5. QUOTE(YASNY @ Mar 24, 2006 -> 03:08 PM) Maybe so. I haven't heard him. Consider yourself lucky.
  6. I was A LOT more worried about Jenks going into the playoffs last year than I am now. I'd say he handled that pretty well. The only thing that could keep Bobby from being a great reliever is Bobby.
  7. QUOTE(YASNY @ Mar 24, 2006 -> 03:03 PM) It's Singleton's rookie season and he's in spring training. Man, you guys are a buch of critical bastards! Yasny, he's just bad. Real bad.
  8. QUOTE(rudylaw @ Mar 24, 2006 -> 02:58 PM) I remember I thought DJ was bad when he first started but Singleton has to be the worst announcer ever. You would think that they would have to have some sort of tryout before they are hired. Thank god my work schedule is different now. I had to listen to a lot of games on the radio last year. I didn't mind it at all because I love Rooney. Singelton makes me apperciate Hawk and D.J. even more.
  9. Kenny has come a long way as GM the last few years. He won't allow himself to be bent over in a deal for Juan Cruz.
  10. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Mar 24, 2006 -> 04:03 AM) From Ken Rosenthal; Uhh but ya said Fassero twice there Ken. I'd love to get Kline. He had a so-so year in '05, but he was outstanding in '04.
  11. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Mar 24, 2006 -> 01:50 AM) they dont seem to use their #2 reciever that much though... I think the game plan is to pass is. 1. Pass to Smith 2. Pass to Smith 3. Check other recievers. 4. Pass to Smith anyways. They didn't have a #2 wr to go to last year.
  12. Interesting. So Gooch starts the regular season in the 2-hole if he hits well the rest of the spring? That was a rather short-lived experiment.
  13. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2381809 This is a very good move by the Panthers. They now have a strong #2 wr opposite Steve Smith.
  14. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Mar 24, 2006 -> 12:26 AM) Whatever Jabroni. Is it better to bank on a chance of this guy making the team, or Joe Borchard? They are both as worthless as s***, we just needed pitching more. ^^^
  15. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Mar 23, 2006 -> 11:45 PM) So how was it? I didn't like it at all.
  16. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Mar 23, 2006 -> 11:43 PM) Ha I was all signed out and ready to take a week off. EVERYBODY should have been rooting for the Zags so that I'd be gone for a week. LOL. I forgot about that.
  17. Gonzaga f***ed me in the ass.
  18. Question, aren't the announcers usually supposed to be neutral for national broadcasts? These two clowns were worse than Chris Berman during the Red Sox, White Sox series.
  19. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Mar 23, 2006 -> 11:30 PM) Is that the best game of teh tourney so far? Good god. Hollins hit those 2 FT's then they get the steal, the lay in, the jump. GAME.. WOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW You could argue that one or the one that just finished.
  20. This is just too much for me.
  21. I'm not making any plans for Saturday. LSU/Texas is gonna be a classic.
  22. This is why I love March. I don't give a s*** about either of these teams and my heart is pounding.
  23. QUOTE(ZoomSlowik @ Mar 23, 2006 -> 10:59 PM) That doesn't really bother me for two reasons: 1) They liked Shane Battier quite a bit and took him higher in the draft than his talent would suggest. 2) A lot of NBA scouts make some really bad calls every year. I agree about Battier, however, he had nowhere near the offensive arsenal of Morrison. I don't think Morrision is gonna be Larry Bird the sequel. But I think he'll be a 20 ppg scorer in the NBA.
  24. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Mar 23, 2006 -> 10:49 PM) aboz. Thanks. Very good article, Boz.
