Atlanta Regional
QUOTE(ZoomSlowik @ Mar 23, 2006 -> 10:53 PM) I really think that'd be a mistake if they did. Morrison is a bit more polished, but he as a very low ceiling. From everything I've seen so far, Morrison and Shane Battier will have roughly the same career. Morrison is better offensively, but Battier actually plays some defense. A lot of NBA scouts disagree with you.

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Mar 23, 2006 -> 10:46 PM) Yeah my money's back on Phoenix for the title, after seeing Amare get back. Of course they'll need Kurt Thomas healthy for the playoffs as well. With Duncan clearly not at 100%, and I doubt he gets there this season, I might agree with you. The Suns, who went about 6 deep last year, now go about 10 deep this year. They've got a lot more size down low than they had last year.

This just in: WV went two consecutive offensive possessions without shooting a 3. This is not a mistake. It really happened.

QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Mar 23, 2006 -> 10:42 PM) West Virginia up by 2. They're on fire from downtown.

Atlanta Regional
Unbelievable. Tie game with just under 8 minutes to go. WV is 12/28 from 3.
-
Oakland Regional
UCLA right back in this game. Only down 6.

QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Mar 23, 2006 -> 05:33 PM) The Toronto Raptors released Antonio Davis. I wonder if the Bulls will be interested. He has back problems though. They won't be interested at this point. By the way, Amare Stoudemire played in his first game of the season tonight. He had 20 points, 9 rebounds and 2 blocks in just 19 minutes.

WV just baffles me. They don't rebound or defend well. They take 5 3's for every 2, yet they just don't go away. Only down 2 after it looked like they were gonna be run out of the building.

Available Relievers
QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Mar 23, 2006 -> 08:07 PM) Go for it, KW. I still don't see anyway they deal with us. If they do, I'll be estatic. By the way, when are the last set of roster cuts again?

Guillen questions Jenks' regimen
QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Mar 23, 2006 -> 09:43 PM) I believe Jenks did come to camp out of shape, however its something that can/will be fixed. He came to camp with extra weight, and I would hope that with him getting a good amount of action in spring, he should be a respectable weight by the 2nd week of the season. However, not a good way to start of his sophomore season. I agree with this. Hopefully all the talk about his weight will motivate him even more to get it down and keep it under control.

Guillen questions Jenks' regimen
QUOTE(shawnhillegas @ Mar 23, 2006 -> 09:46 PM) i cant believe im saying this, but trading joe borchard was a bad idea here. at least gload is showing some sings of life. we are going to run a terrible reliever out there for no other reason than because he throws 96 and has no options left. Got any better ideas?

Sox Pen A Cause for Concern
That was a fine article. Who wrote it by the way? I'm not familar with everybody's real name around here.

Atlanta Regional
WV gets right back in the game. Only down 4. They better pray they keep making 3's.

Gazing Into the Crystal Ball
QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Mar 23, 2006 -> 07:02 PM) Did anyone get the latest issue of The Sporting News magazine? My God, they love us to insane proportions. They have a hilarious photo of Ozzie stirring some batter with a chef's hat on. They think it will be White Sox over Cardinals in the World Series. They ranked us like this... #1 rotation in entire MLB (because of Vazquez addition and McCarthy as a 6th starter) #3 heart of the order in entire MLB (because of Thome, Konerko, Dye) #3 bullpen in entire MLB (because of Jenks, Cotts, and Politte, although they do mention Hermanson) #1 clubhouse in entire MLB (because of Ozzie and Frank is now gone) #2 bench in entire MLB (because of Mackowiak, Cintron, and Ozuna) Did the new one just come out? I've been looking for it for a week now.

Scared? or no worries?
QUOTE(TLAK @ Mar 23, 2006 -> 08:59 PM) Teams play 30 games in the spring. Everybody wins 10 and loses 10, its the other 10 that don't matter.

Please, please, please let the Knicks' pick turn out to be #1. I want Aldridge so bad.
-
Oakland Regional
Rowand, I think you severely underrated Gonzaga.
-
Atlanta Regional
Aldridge and Tucker are a combined 10/10 from the field. Texas up 10.
-
Atlanta Regional
I'm starting to think LSU might be a legitimate threat to win the whole thing. Their defense and depth is severely underrated.
-
How's your bracket?
LSU came through for me in a big way.

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Mar 23, 2006 -> 09:24 PM) Bradley didn't embarass themselves at all, they played hard and well at times. Memphis is just too damn good to keep up with for 40 minutes, when they are on they are almost unbeatable. I agree. Bradley has nothing to be down about. They represented the MVC very well.
-
Oakland Regional
Thanks Rowand and Whitesoxfan 101. Just wanted to be sure. I almost felt bad for Bradley out there at times. Athletic freaks at every position for Memphis.

QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Mar 23, 2006 -> 09:19 PM) Did he act like Leinart when USC lost to Texas? No, Leinhart was just being a b****. Redick didn't make any excuses tonight. He just looked EXTREMELY sad.
-
Oakland Regional
Am I wrong when I say Memphis is the most athletic team in the country?
-
Atlanta Regional
Lack of depth and consistent play from anybody outside of Williams and Redick did Duke in tonight. They got by with that in the regular season/conference tournament, but you just knew somebody would expose them in the tournament. Congrats to LSU!
