  1. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Jun 2, 2013 -> 12:45 PM) Um, no. Shooting guard is 3 guys deep, and that includes two injured guys. There's a HUGE drop-off after Harden, Kobe and Wade. Small forward isn't significantly better either. Obviously you have two freaks and Melo, but that's about it for star-caliber players. Paul George is right there, but using your Hibbert logic, he averaged 17 PPG while shooting 41% in his best year so he can't possibly be a difference maker. I think you must have forgotten that power forward is a position as well. Point guard is loaded and Lebron and Durant are awesome. Big men in general are terrible though and there's a real shortage on wings that can take over a game right now. Please, I'm not talking just this year. The average wing/guard of the last 5-10 years dwarfs anything you can come up with from '89-'99. And bigs are considerably more skilled (even if they're not overall better) and tougher to match up with than 10-15 years ago.
  2. QUOTE (Boogua @ Jun 2, 2013 -> 11:58 AM) Lol, okay. Sometimes I forget who I'm talking to. Paul George is a more athletic Scottie pippen. Already clarified what I meant. But you can hold on to that as long as you want. I won't even charge you.
  3. QUOTE (Boogua @ Jun 2, 2013 -> 11:48 AM) Lol, not at all. The better he does, the better my point looks. Is hibbert as good as Ewing? Is he as good as Hakeem, Robinson, Shaquille, mourning, and mutombo? Dude, this kills your theory. Roy hibbert and Dwight Howard are what you're hanging your hat on? Seriously? If Hibbert can do what he's doing now over a full season? Uh, yeah. Give me healthy Dwight over Mourning and Mutombo without hesitation.
  4. QUOTE (Boogua @ Jun 2, 2013 -> 11:30 AM) Yes, but the game is evolving. That's why centers have disappeared. Oh, wait..... I would think somebody like you would be praying this is a fluke. If this is really the new Hibbert (I don't think it is) and Howard reverts back to being dominant over a year removed from back surgery, boom, there's two elite centers right there. That's all you 90's geeks have. Anthony Davis will be running the position soon as well. Every other position? Not even a contest.
  5. Hibbert vs Heat 2012 semifinals: FG% - 47.5, PPG -12.5, RPG -11.5 Hibbert vs Heat 2012 semifinals last 3 games (all losses): FG% - 44%, PPG -10.0, RPG - 9.6 This, along with his pedestrian career averages (sans blocks), is the Roy Hibbert I know. I'm a numbers guy. I don't do twtw. Hibbert's done nothing in his career that would suggest he could go on this type of explosion. So kill all that "haha, I told you" nonsense. This is Mike Bibby 2002 conference finals at the moment.
  6. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 18, 2013 -> 12:01 AM) Like Steve's sources, I would like to be spectacularly wrong. I just can't come up with a realistic scenario, outside of injury, in which they lose 4 times in a series. This is well before the playoffs. Wade is averaging like 12 ppg in the playoffs. Thank you. Now get off me.
  7. Well, Dwight Hibbert used the word "homo" in his post-game press conference last night. Let's see if the entire world gets on him the way they got on LeBron for using the word "retarded" in describing a question (that was indeed f***ing retarded) in a press conference two years ago.
  8. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Jun 1, 2013 -> 11:30 PM) Are you a Miami Cheat fan J4L? The Miami cheat? Yeah, um, ok.
  9. Chris Bosh last three games: FG - 5/21 (23.8%), PPG - 6.3, RPG - 4.0 We know what Wade's issues are. But what the f*** is wrong with Bosh? Those are NBDL numbers. Cavs fans should be ecstatic right now. LeBron/Irving has never looked more realistic.
  10. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jun 1, 2013 -> 10:14 PM) always a caveat and excuse in everything you say J4L. The rules were different, this guy was injured, the team was bad this time, but but but but but but Not at all. I said before the playoffs that there was no scenario outside of a big injury that the Heat could be beat. A 10-year old can clearly see Wade ain't right and hasn't been right for a while.
  11. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jun 1, 2013 -> 10:10 PM) ***lalalafingersinmyears*** You declared this series over in the first game, dont give me "i dont want to hear it". Pretty sure you said it probably wont go past 5 games too Yes, I had the Miami Heat winning this series in 5. Key words: Miami Heat. Not the Miami Cavaliers. I didn't know how banged up Wade was. Injuries have f***ed up this whole postseason.
  12. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jun 1, 2013 -> 10:04 PM) I'm pretty sure I told you that Miami was going to have a hard time with West and Hibbert, and that was your weak response. There's a big difference between giving the Heat some problems and turning into pre-back surgery Dwight Howard. If something has clicked for him, great. The NBA needs great big men. But nobody came close to predicting what he's doing now. So I don't wanna hear it.
  13. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jun 1, 2013 -> 09:56 PM) Hibbert sure is slow and fat gmab. The guy has career averages of 11.3 and 6.8. He's playing out of his mind right now. Get back to me when he does this for even half a year let alone a full year.
  14. The Birdman suspension hurt bad. Joel Anthony might be the most useless player in sports. Not the NBA. But sports period.
  15. Ladies and gents, I present to you the Miami Cavaliers. Wade hasn't looked this awful since '08.
  16. QUOTE (Baron @ May 31, 2013 -> 11:29 PM) Oh those are facts. I didnt realize projections from a person are facts. Tell me what does your crystal ball say about the next President of the United States? It seems like everytime something happens after a game you come in the thread and " you can only lose this much or not good enough". I think we got your game down thank you very much. lol. But you see. The Sox need to go 55-25 between now and (make up a date). If they go 51-29 - season ova.
  17. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ May 31, 2013 -> 11:04 PM) I feel soooo bad for Dylan. You don't ask your 5th starter to go out there and pitch 7.0 shutout innings but he did. Against a pretty good offensive club, too.
  18. What an awful quarter by the Pacers. You gotta come better than that after the half in a game this crucial.
  19. Haslem/Chalmers bailing out Wade's broke ass.
  20. QUOTE (lord chas @ May 30, 2013 -> 08:45 PM) I have been very impressed with Hibbert this series Now if he could do this for a full season, combined with the return of Granger and George's continued evolution, this could be a REALLY good team.
  21. Well, this certainly isn't like last year's game 5 when the Pacers got throat f***ed.
  22. lol. Chitown baseball. You know it's bad when the debate is who sucks more. It's going to be a fun summer.
  23. QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ May 29, 2013 -> 01:47 PM) Ive recently been spreading the message to my friends that Amanda Bynes is a must follow these days. The tweet to Rhianna had my ribs burning. "Chris Brown beat you because you're not pretty enough" lol
  24. Amanda Bynes' twitter account > drunk sex with no strings attached
