Should Jamar Smith start over Rich McBride?
I voted give me another week of solid performances. He had a fabolous shooting night tonight. But, of course, it's just one game against a very, very s***ty team.

Bears vs Packers
QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Dec 5, 2005 -> 01:54 AM) And those teams they played were Green Bay (32), Arizona (24), Detroit (21), Minny (38), Tampa Bay (34) and the Jets (30). I'm counting only 1 really good defensive team there. I really don't give a s*** where they rank. I'm sick of Bears haters acting like we have to apologize for being 9-3. They play the schedule that's presented to them. Nobody picked the Bears to do s*** this year. Now that they've proven everybody wrong, I'm hearing s*** how we haven't played anybody, or the defense isn't that good, it's just bad offense, ect, ect. Everybody said we couldn't beat Carolina, we crushed them. Then everybody said there was no way we could beat Tampa in Tampa, we did it. What more has to be done? Do we have to beat the Steelers on the road? Atlanta? Run the table? What's it gonna take for people to just recognize this is a good football team and leave it at that?

Bears vs Packers
QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Dec 5, 2005 -> 01:35 AM) The Panthers arent an elite offense... they are a 1 demensional offense and because of that we were able to dominate them. The teams in the NFC that would give us trouble are the Cowboys(although I think less so every week), Giants, and Seahawks.... In the AFC id say Colts obviously and Chargers. The Panthers were averaging nearly 30 ppg in their last 6 games leading up to their match-up with the Bears. That's all I need to know.

Bears vs Packers
QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Dec 5, 2005 -> 01:27 AM) I love this, I really do. Brett Favre threw for 277 yards today, and he's only got Donald Driver who's a better than average receiver to throw to. Kyle Orton on the other hand makes 35.3% of his throws and only 6, that's right, count em, 6 completions. And now for my favorite argument. "But the Bears are still winning with Orton behind center!!!!". Well I put forward this argument to you. The ranking of the offenses the Bears have beaten during their streak, 17th, 18th, 23rd, 24th, 25th, 26th, 27th and 32nd. Just wait until the Bears actually play a team with a top 10 offense. You won't survive when your QB is passing for 68 yards. EDIT: And are the Packers a Good Team defensively? Hell no, especially in the secondary. E.g If Orton was ever going to have a good day, today was gonna be the day. They played an elite offense in the Panthers. You know the rest.

Bears vs Packers
QUOTE(Confederate_48 @ Dec 4, 2005 -> 10:16 PM) Next week should be a fun game. Pittsburgh is so gonna own the Bears offense. And our d will shut their offense down. It's gonna be low scoring for both teams.

Bears vs Packers
The thing that really dissapoints me when it comes to Orton is that he hasn't improved one bit since the start of the season. If anything, he's actually, somehow, gotten worse. All the Orton backers need to let it go. The guy flat sucks. Whenever Grossman is ready, put him in.

Furcal is now a dodger
QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Dec 4, 2005 -> 01:17 AM) Felix Pie + Rich Hill for Juan Pierre. Do it, Mr. Hendry, do it. Make me smile. Oh yes, i'm all for that. The Marlins will suck total cock next year, but their farm would be loaded if they could pull that off.

Twins want Frank?
QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Dec 1, 2005 -> 11:16 PM) I'd still give him a standing O every time he came to the plate. So would I. I could never boo Frank. I just don't want to face him.

Twins want Frank?
QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Dec 1, 2005 -> 11:07 PM) http://www.startribune.com/stories/509/5758905.html This is defintely something I don't want to hear. I shiver at the thought of having to deal with Frank as many as 19 games a year.

JUAN PIERRE
QUOTE(JimH @ Dec 1, 2005 -> 08:58 PM) Fine, don't call him an excellent player then. Must you nitpick every little statement I make, my goodness. You're right, he is an excellent player. I'll take him on my team anyday.

JUAN PIERRE
QUOTE(hi8is @ Dec 1, 2005 -> 08:42 PM) do you agree with a lot of jeckles off season speculation.... ever? Hell no.
-
Thank You Frank Thomas.
QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Dec 1, 2005 -> 08:42 PM) I think Derek Lee may very well be wearing pinstripes at the start of 2007, but that doesn't affect whether or not they'd want Frankt his year. I still say Frank simply cannot play the field. What makes you think the Yankees can just get any player they want?
-
JUAN PIERRE
QUOTE(JimH @ Dec 1, 2005 -> 08:22 PM) Juan Pierre is an excellent player, period. He would be a huge asset to the White Sox, and further, I believe the White Sox will get him unless some other team blows them out of the water. But Jeckle says he's the worst player of the modern era?

Marrioti Column today
QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Dec 1, 2005 -> 05:18 PM) why do people read his articles anyways lol when they always get pissed...... you would think the simple solution would to be stop reading them. I can honestly say I read half of 1 Marriotti article and after that Ive never read anything he wrote unless its been on soxtalk..... The only time I see him is when I watch Around the Horn sometimes. It's kinda like smoking and drinking. You know you shouldn't do it, but foolishly do it anyway.

Jon Garland
QUOTE(GreatScott82 @ Dec 1, 2005 -> 03:56 PM) If Garland leaves after '06 I would love to replace him with Mulder! Another lefty ace to go along w/ Buerhle. Mulder grew up a Sox fan. I have a feeling KW is going to give Jose C an extension this year so a rotation of Buerhle, Mulder, Garcia, Conteras and BMac in 2007 would look pretty good to me. Pass. Mulder has fallen off big time the last 2-3 years.

Marrioti Column today
QUOTE(Jimbo's Drinker @ Dec 1, 2005 -> 03:25 PM) At the very end it says(when dealing with Kong). "To paraphrase an english challenged announcer...he here." Like most of Jay's columns, that was lame.

Jon Garland
QUOTE(3E8 @ Dec 1, 2005 -> 03:16 PM) You don't know this. OK, it very well "could" defintely hurt us down the road.
-
Jon Garland
If we're not able to lock Jon up, trading Gio and Haigwood is defintely gonna hurt us down the road.

Free agent resource.
QUOTE(SoxFan562004 @ Dec 1, 2005 -> 12:17 PM) I know this started making the rounds yesterday and before, but I'm seeing it all over today, the Dodgers have entered the Furcal bidding. He or his agent is going to meet with them tomorrow. Yup, and I just heard that Furcal, who was supposed to make a decision by Friday or so, will take atleast another 3-4 days to mull over his options. I'm thinking the Dodgers are gonna get him. What a blow to the Flubs that would be.

Boston offers Ramirez
QUOTE(RockRaines @ Dec 1, 2005 -> 01:39 PM) If the cubs were smart they would offer Kerry Wood for Abreu, maybe they would bite on that. Don't you mean if the Philles were extremely dumb?

Official: Konerko Signs With White Sox
QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Dec 1, 2005 -> 04:08 AM) That was Jeckle. LOL. Figures.

Official: Konerko Signs With White Sox
QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Dec 1, 2005 -> 03:15 AM) Wow, another great day for us White Sox fans in the off-season. No matter what you may think about Paulie not being worth $12M etc., this move put simply just had to be done. He offers a lot more than the stats the he puts up during the season. What happens now? Probably either we're pretty much done, or we may a move to trade for Pierre or sign Mueller for the #2 spot. But we've got a BIG presence in that middle of the lineup now, and hopefully we won't be seeing as many posters criticize this offense as what we saw this season. Dbaho, who typed that pathetic babble about Gio in your sig?

Bulls @ Knicks
That was one ugly 4th quarter. I've been very dissapointed in Sweetney the last few games. He's done next to nothing the last week. He's the only legitimate low post threat we have. He needs to get it going again. We're strictly a jumpshooting team otherwise.

Thank You Frank Thomas.
QUOTE(greg775 @ Nov 30, 2005 -> 11:38 PM) Some of you have said this already, but I think our doctors realize he's physically a long shot at best to come back. That said, now that we've won a World Series I wouldn't mind seeing him sign with the Cubs. The Cubs will never win a Series so they are no threat to our title, and it'd be great to see Frank whack a lot of homers in the small Wrigley. My guess though is he's done. Frank wouldn't be hitting a lot of HR'S for the Flubs riding the bench.
