A slight upgrade? C'mon now. Love him or hate him. T-mac is one of the top 5 all-around players in the league and probably the best player in the league under 7 feet tall. The guy has put up numbers the last 4 years that rival anybody. There's nothing he can't do. His d has fallen off. But I think playin for Van Gundy "a defensive minded coach" will defnitely improve his defense. Add to that T-mac finally has a quality center to play with. The Rockets no doubt win this trade.

Randy has a no trade clause. He's already gone on record of saying that he wants to finish his career in, Arizona. Add to that he's already got his ring. So it's not like he has any extra incentive to go somewhere else.

Maybe we've got "Juan Uribe part 2" with, Davis? Similiar situations. Talented, yet not able to completely figure it out. Like with Uribe, Maybe a change of scenery is what Davis needs. I'm lookin forward to seeing if that's the case.

I got wood when I saw that he threw out 44% of would be base stealers in 2002. That's no fluke. That's called having a pretty good arm. And it seems like he's a really good defensive catcher. If he does that and hits about .250 with a decent ops i'll be more than satisfied.

I have to disagree with you on it would be better seeing Konerko traded over Olivo. Even with PK's contact. He's having a great comeback year. And has at times carried us this season.

So I take it you're upset over Reed leaving? Dude, We weren't gonna fleece the Mariners aka "what the Cubs did to the Pirates last year". To Get Garcia we were gonna have to give up one of our top prospects. Reed could turn out to be great. Maybe he'll just be good. Hell, Maybe he'll suck ass. But we got a proven major league starter for him. And it appears will have him for a long time. If anything. you should be upset about us losing, Olivo.

I'm glad it wasn't, Crede. I know he's inconsistent. But we all know what this guy can do when he gets hot. If he ever puts it together for a full season we've got an all-star. He's already a stud defensively.

I agree with what most of you said. But as far as Olivo not livin up to the Pudge hype. He hasn't even completed his 2nd full season in the majors yet. And he's improved by leaps and bounds over last year. There's no reason to think that he won't continue to get better. I bet you the Mariners will make him their EVERYDAY catcher and not this 2-3 days a week stuff he had to deal with here.

I'm pissed about losing, Olivo. But lets be honest. He's replaceable. As long as we're able to sign Garcia to an extension i'm pleased with the deal. And no. I'm glad we still have, Konerko. He's tearin the cover off the ball right now and I don't see any reason "other than health" that it won't continue.
