  1. Wow. Marte had him 0-2. Give Walker credit for battling. Shingo and Marte blew this one. Oh well.
  2. You got that right. I'd rather suck ass for another 10 years then have that overrated cancer on our team.
  3. I don't want any part of, Kobe. To me he's one of those guys you would rather lose without than win with. He's seflish, spoiled, and arrogant. Not to mention he got a 9 time world champion coach fired. Now he's about to get the most dominant center of the last 30 years or so traded. Most of his teamates can't stand him. Not that we had a chance anyway. But i'm against it either way.
  4. Valdez has been solid. Do we actually get something legit in return for, Botch?
  5. It won't feel like 2000 to me until we officially clinch the al central.
  6. I'm not about to say or even think Jon has turned the corner. I thought that in 2002 with that amazing start he had against the Red Sox at Fenway. I want to see more peformances like this from him. I'm harder on him than anybody on this team because I expect so much from him. He's got the arm, stuff, talent. He doesn't have the mind. atleast not consistently. But, I will give him full props for stepping up today.
  7. I agree with that. I love competitors. People forget. Without Scott pitchin the way he did in April and May we wouldn't be in the position we are now. Sure he shoudl've kept it private. But oh well. This is the era we're livin in now. Nothing is private.
  8. If we can beat Zambrano again I love our chances for a sweep. I think we can clown Maddux and Rusch. Then again. Diaz has to prove his last start wasn't a fluke.
  9. Yup. I still can't see why the Braves would trade him.
  10. This was a playoff type of win. These are the type of games will have to win come playoff time. It would be great to score 6, 7, 8 runs every game. But, as we know that's not gonna happen.
  11. No way Ozzie sits Pk after what he did to the Cubs last weekend. Frank is gonna be the one sitting.
  12. I'm gettin goose bumps right now. KW is not messin around I see. I just hope he doesn't get fleeced.
  13. I still question why the Braves would trade their best starter when they're all of 3.5 gms outta 1st place. But he's definitely raising his stock. His era is down to I think 3.64. He's been dynamite of late.
  14. Is it me or have the Cubs become an american league team? They have little to no team speed. They don't have many guys that can lay down a bunt. They rely heavily on the long ball to score most of their runs. Damn, Sounds like last years White Sox. Anyways. The Cubs might have pulled this one out. But once again their suspect bullpen was exposed. If there's one thing that can hold them back it's the fact they have an average "if that" bullpen at best.
  15. Doesn't take a genius to recognize Beltran's considerable talent.
  16. I think I was one of them. But, as you can see i've admitted that I was wrong.
  17. Well there goes the theory of Ortiz not being able to pitch as well in the american league. 3.48 is a very impressive era. I still don't get how the Braves, who r like 3 gms outta 1st place start making this big trades? Maybe they figure that they've choked in the playoffs so many times that it's not even worth makin it anymore?
  18. I'm all for throwin Diaz out there. I wanna see if last start was a fluke, or do we really have something with this guy.
  19. I'm sure he didn't mean every single game. But for the most part. But like you said. This could all change in a week. I'm still not sold on Pollite yet even though he's been dynamite of late.
  20. I want a sweep. I think Jon will step up.
  21. Very good points. I said the same thing in another thread. Freddy's run support in Seattle was just over 2 runs per start. It's gotta feel good for him to know that he doesn't have to have the performance of his life everytime out to have a chance to win.
  22. All you gotta do is go back to 2001. I remember we had a 4-1 lead going into the 9th. We bring in Keith Foulke and he chokes it away. No lead is ever safe in that s***hole. I'm glad Ozzie took no chances.
  23. Lets not put last year's choke job all on, Bartolo. Sure he wasn't as good as we would've hoped. But he was our best pitcher down the stretch. I remember back2back starts against the Yankees/RedSox in September where he completely dominated. I look at Buehrle's awful 1st half, Loaiza's choke job in September, Konerko and Crede dissapearing the first 3 months, Rick White getting Tattooed, Danny's Wright's sorry ass, Botch, Nuff said. And of course that manager we had last year. What was his name? That's why we didn't make the playoffs.
  24. LMAO. What? The world series? When did this happen?
