I'm curious. Is Jones having a s***ty season?

I have no problem with, Ortiz. But I do think Rauch and Anderson/Sweeney is giving up too much. I love Kenny's agressiveness. But they were just talkin about this on the score. That maybe Kenny is so agressive he ends up giving up TOO much.

I don't get this at all. We can't pay, Maggs? Yet we could take on Jones contract? And how does trading Ortiz and Jones for Maggs and Rauch make the Braves any better? I guess they feel they can still win the division. And they honestly could. I guess they want to get rid of Jones contract. I don't know..I hate all these damn rumors. I want something to fricken happen.

I just wish he had been the closer from the start. Not just for the fact we would have about 5-7 more wins. But the fact he would have more saves therefore giving him atleast a decent shot at being an all-star.

Right on, Jeckle. You've been pretty much the only guy that didn't dismiss Diaz as a bum after those first 2 starts. I'll happily eat some crow. I can't begin to describe how good it feels that one of our pitching prospects finally went out and got the job done. I hope this is just the beginning for, Diaz.

We have to win tomorrow for this win to mean anything. Hopefully Loaiza BRINGS it. I have no doubt we can do some damage against, Maddux.

Especially considering how watered down the National League is right now.

Cardinals beat the Royals 3-1 in 10 innings. They now have a 4 gm lead on the, Flubs. They're getting tremendous pitching. They probably have the best line-up in the National league. I still feel they need 1 more starter and they'll be in real good shape as far as the division goes.

That's really impressive. Do you know the guys name?

Well. After Diaz gets rocked he's gonna be sent right back down. So it's doesn't really matter who they bring up for a couple days.

We're in a funk. But i'm not about to give up on the season. It's my belief that you don't really know how good a team is until they hit a slump. Cause lets face it. Over the course of a 162 gms even the best teams are gonna go through atleast 1 or 2 slumps. The real question is how we respond to it.

I think Sox fans just have to accept Jon for what he is. He's not great. He's not bad. He's somewhere in between. He'll have very good starts, to go along with very bad ones. What was dissapointing about today was that his defense let him down. And Jon is not mentally tough enough to pitch over mistakes. That's what the great to really good pitchers do. Jon is at best a #4 starter. Period.

I'm takin it every which way from my boyz who are Cub fans right now. This makes me sick. What was with the f***in defense today? That s*** was embarassing.

I'll take Ortiz in a second. The guy has a career record of 94-57. That's good enough for me.

Garland was dynamite for 4 innings. The 2 base throwing error and the dropped fly ball by Uribe/Gload was huge. Jose also a ball get through his legs in the 6th inning. So all in all Garland was not that bad. He just wasn't able to pitch over mistakes. But if people r waiting for this guy to become a #1 or # 2 type starter. Than keep dreaming. Garland is at best a decent #4 starter.

I don't know if he's underrated. But he did fall off a little bit for a couple years. But last year and especially this year he's proven that he's still one of the best.

I'm sorry. I just think Zambrano is due for a slump. I know he's good. But I think he's pitchin way over his head right now. Hopefully we can bring him back to reality.

Yeah. They're offense is gonna be SICK. Pettite is due to come off the dl on, Tuesday. I guess they really feel that Lidge guy can get the job done as the closer. I still think they could use another quality arm in the pen. But all in all. If this team is healthy. They should win the division.

I gotta agree with, Shuf. I would hardly give the Celtics an A. I would no doubt give the Bulls an A. As well as the Magic and Mavs.
