  1. He was on his way to exploding last year until he hurt his back again.
  2. Kenny is a good gm. Not great. But good. I've said this before. I'll never forgive him for the Ritchie deal. But you can't ignore guys like Marte, Loaiza, Harris, Uribe, and Schoenweis. These are guys he's brought in for next to nothing.
  3. I think it's more mental. We've all seen what Joe can do when he's locked in. He needs to take Ozzie's advice and just "RELAX".
  4. That's the mark of a great pitcher. Getting the job done without your best stuff. Not saying Mark is great, yet. But he's got a real good chance to be.
  5. Wait a 2nd? There's another good team in Chicago besides the, Cubs? Well, go figure.
  6. I think the 2001 season was good and bad for, Mark. He basically came outta nowhere. He didn't have a whole lot of pub comin out of the minors. He comes up and pretty much dominates. From that point on everybody expects you to either be just as good if not better. People have to remember this guy is still young. He's still learning and maturing. I think the rest of the league made adjustments against Mark after that amazing 2001 season. Now he's making those same adjustments against the league.
  7. Buehrle's ERA during his four-game winning streak is just 0.65 (two earned runs in 27 2-3 innings) and he's been showered with run support. Hard to argue with that
  8. Buehrle's ERA during his four-game winning streak is just 0.65 (two earned runs in 27 2-3 innings) and he's been showered with run support. Hard to argue with that
  9. Kenny Williams knows this. He'll get us another starter.
  10. Joe, will come around. He's too talented to struggle like this for too much longer.
  11. I agree, I wouldn't mess with our 1-2 combo of Harris and Uribe. I think they have a chance to be what Pierre and Castillo were to the Marlins last year.
  12. Props to Nanita and Borchard for their recent explosions. Here's to continued success
  13. Nice article. Makes a lot of good points. I think after Maddux, it will be a long time before anybody wins 300 again.
  14. I'm not surprised one bit at, Castillia. From 1996-99 while he was a Rockie, he had 113, 113, 144, and 102 rbi totals.
  15. He's been our MVP
  16. Trade him for a pitcher? But he's worthless, right? What could we get for a "worthless" player?
  17. For all those who said Frank was washed up==== :finger :finger :finger
  18. I didn't have a problem with him being pulled after 8. I love when Shingo gets a chance to pitch
  19. Well, it was only a two game series. But, I think this reminds the rest of the Cubs ass kissing world that the Stro's have a hell of a pitching staff too.
  20. I don't know if it's that. But everybody knows Jose has his hot and cold streaks. He's in a cold one right now. But we all know how dangerous he is when he gets hot.
  21. I like, Shingo. But he's no Gagne. Not yet atleast.
  22. Him and Todd Ritchie :puke
