  1. I realize he's a good pitcher. But we just saw the guy a couple weeks ago. A good team would've made the necessary adjustments and done some damage the second time around. Then again. It's too early to say we have a good team or not.
  2. I hope Joe is ok. He did this last year. Had a very poor first half, then came alive in the second half.
  3. I didn't get to see the gm tonight. But lookin at the stats, I can see Vasquez bamboozled our offense again. Was he that good tonight? Did we blow opportunities? I hate gettin shut down by the same pitcher twice in what 2 weeks? Seems like we can only get off against below average pitching. Not a good sign at all.
  4. Well, will really get a chance to see what Uribe can do.
  5. I haven't seen or heard anything about this.
  6. This thread is pretty pointless..Anybody who saw this guy last year saw that he was a lazy, moody, arrogant piece of s***. I could run the bases better than he did last year. I could care less what he's doing with the Reds. Let him hit .400. I'm glad we got rid of that piece of s***.
  7. I think they have two 2nd round picks to go along with two 1st rounders. As long as Corey comes ready to play and doesn't b****, this is a great move for the Pats.
  8. If Wright fails, I think Cotts will get his chance.
  9. I'm gettin worried about, Borchard. Will this guy ever figure it out?
  10. I still think Danny should get atleast a couple more starts to prove he can get the job done. If not, it's time to see what we have in, Cotts.
  11. Beatin the D-rays at home ain't easy. As far as our start goes, yes, i'm very pleased. I still wish we could have that opening day debacle back. But that loss may have been a good thing. I remember everybody in here sayin that the team would struggle to get over such a dissapointing loss. Well they're 8-3 since then. Looks like they've handled it pretty well.
  12. Very impressive outing by Loazia today. That's what i've been waiting for. That was vintage 2003.
  13. LOL. That "vaunted Cubs rotation is looking more and more like a 2 man show. Prior is of course out, Clement stinks, Sitre got rocked, Maddux looks about 60 years old. Only guys pitchin well for them is Wood and Zambrano.
  14. lol..Thanks, Cincinatti. I thought the Cubs were gonna pull out another one.
  15. They didn't say anything about surgery. Just that he's not healing and he's nowhere close to being ready to pitch. They also said that the team is scared to death that if they bring him back before he's 100% healed that it might mess up his entire career. So i'm guessing u can pretty much stick a fork in Mark Prior for 2004.
  16. They just reported that he's gonna be out longer than expected and that he very well might miss the entire year. He threw off the mound a lil bit yesterday, but the team reported that's he's nowhere close to coming back to the club anytime soon. So it looks like the Cub fans r gonna have their excuse when they don't get to the playoffs this year.
  17. If you're gonna remember him for all that, then remember him for the shut down defense he played against Magic in the 91 finals, The comeback he led in gm 6 of the 92 finals with 4 bench players. The way he killed the Knicks and Suns in 93. The way he single handedly took this team to 55 wins and gm 7 of the 2nd round with NO JORDAN. And we all know we would've won that series if not for Hue Hollins. U guys get the point. I'm not sayin Pip was perfect. He made some mistakes. But give him credit for the things he did right. It's one thing for Pip to get no love in other cities. But to be in CHICAGO and not realize that Jordan didn't do it BY HIMSELF is sad.
  18. LMAO...I thought this was serious
  19. LOL..U got the Grizzles beating the Spurs and Lakers?
  20. I guess u mean current athletes. I'll go Frank Thomas, Kirk Hinrich and Dee Brown. All time it's Michael Jordan, Bo Jackson. And of course Frank Thomas..
  21. Here r my playoff picks east Pacers over Celtics Nets over Knicks Pistons over Bucks Heat over Hornets 2nd round pacers over heat pistons over nets conference finals pacers over pistons West T-wolves over Nuggets Lakers over Rockets Spurs over Grizzlies Mavs over Kings 2nd round T-wolves over Mavs Spurs over Lakers conference finals Spurs over Wolves NBA FINALS=Spurs over Pacers
  22. I don't think we do if he decides to retire...
  23. No matter what happens. Pip has had an outstanding career. This season didn't go as hoped. But nobody will ever forget his contributions to those 6 championship teams.
  24. f*** it man. All I wanna do is win. If we don't get any love so be it.
