I'm actually ok with this... after seeing that play in game where the rockies had a HR taken away i KNEW this was going to happen. told a friend of mine right there that just wait, the replay things gonna come up. cept if it's limited to JUST HR calls i'm totally fine with that. I just dont want to see it spill into everything else... even though it probably will with time.

at halloween it's candy corn, but any other time i love reeses and those new take 5's

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Oct 29, 2007 -> 04:07 PM) Not ever going to happen, he was just throwing a name out there. i mean realistically you're right... but still its fun to think about cuz it really does fill a need for us and who the hell KNOWS what crede will produce next year...
-
I know mlbtraderumors is not a reliable source, but it's interesting to think about anyway... w/ A-Rod leaving, would the yankees think about a Crede for Damon swap? and if so is that worth it?

Anybody else A) stoked that sonic is in Super Smash Bros. Brawl B) pissed that they moved the date back to feb. 10 ? i can't freaking wait for that game!

QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Sep 18, 2007 -> 12:42 PM) So...they were "chicken fighting"? What the f*** is that?1 its just what you saw - a game where both people hold up their leg and try to knock the other one off balance.
-
that was f***ing ridiculous and amazing chicken fighting? are you serious? i mean, when i took tae kwon do as a kid we did that every once and a while as a game at the end of class to have some fun but it was 1v1 hilarious s***.

QUOTE(greg775 @ Sep 17, 2007 -> 11:35 PM) I'm officially excited about Josh Fields. The guy has 20 home runs. Should he be rookie of the year over his elder Dice K? Is he gonna be better than KC's Gordon? Fields is blasting homer after homer in the year of the dead ball. If they liven up the ball again, is this guy going to whack 50 a year? Are you all convinced he is a certain star? Strawberry Fields forever! wow thats some crazy intense love you got for the guy. i actually love fields too but his strikeout numbers are pretty scary... i'm not really sure i want him to be an adam dunn although if he produces the numbers dunn does then i guess i'd take it, but i dont see josh really hitting 40 a year. if he can get those walks up and cut the K's he could be a helluva player. already almost as many ribbies as Dye

QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Sep 17, 2007 -> 08:35 PM) http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=3024886 3 HR night gives him 512. 25 homers and 91 ribbies and .271 avg? i'd say they're getting their money's worth.

QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Sep 4, 2007 -> 08:52 AM) Newsflash - you still have to pay. Do you think Doctors are just going to donate their time? We'd all pay - just a matter of how and when. This is one of the reasons Edwards has a following, and why he would be an awful President - the guy convinces people that there is some mystical pile of gold waiting for the "working class" in America, that the mean rich people are unlawfully withholding. Its just not there. wrong. repealing GWB's tax cuts for the rich puts money right back into the system and that's the money he plans to use for this.

John Edwards - "Americans should 'sacrifice' SUVs for Env

QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Sep 4, 2007 -> 09:49 AM) That's probably why his poll numbers and cash raised are lower than Clinton and Obama's. Seems like America isn't buying his message. just watch. the numbers are starting to climb, and with 4 new labor endorsements his cash flow AND poll numbers will start moving even faster. Obama's starting to fade and once its a Edwards v. Clinton there wont be any comparison -
QUOTE(Alpha Dog @ Sep 3, 2007 -> 11:04 PM) Edwards is into the whoel nanny-state thing it seems. He wants to force you to go to the doctor. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070903/ap_on_el_pr/edwards The appropriate paragraph: it's not as bad as everyone thinks. it just means that it's mandatory to get vaccinations and PREVENTIVE care like that. plus you wouldn't have to pay for it so... who cares?

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Sep 4, 2007 -> 07:19 AM) So then why do we get stories like the average CEO makes 364 times what an average employee makes? They have earned it too, and they earned it by more than just suing it away from doctors. Why do we hear about every oil companies record profits each quarter, after all they just made smart business decesions to get there. Why do we hear people complaining about Wal-Mart? They just came up with a better business model than anyone else in retail. I don't want to get fed that it is OK to be rich on one hand, but the next instance it is not. Heck John Edwards himself rallies against these groups to score himself political capital for the election, and he is a part of these groups. Isn't that the very definitions of hypocrasy? no see you've got it totally wrong. the difference is the CEO makes 364 times that of HIS employee. HIS employee at Wal-Mart doesn't make enough money to LIVE. THATS where the problem is. CEO's shouldnt have the right to better health care than their employees or any more benefits. Not saying that we should take them away from the CEO's, but they need to be available to ALL EMPLOYEES. Point is, John Edwards doesn't have employees. He doesn't run a major corporation that f***s over the people working for him. He made his money fighting FOR the little guy and now he's got a big house to show for it. Well I say that thats alright. -

QUOTE(NUKE @ Sep 2, 2007 -> 09:44 AM) Why? Why should we allow these sanctimonious politicians to exude sacrifice of the rest of us while they gleefully exempt themselves from their own rules? You think John Edwards is going to give up his private jets or his fleet of cars? If he's so damn worried about the environment he should fly commercial, have his mansion turned into wetlands while he moves into a 1000 sq ft home and take public transportation everywhere he goes. why should he give up the things that he's EARNED in his life just because he uses MORE energy than the average american? if you had come from nothing, worked hard your whole life, and made millions of dollars wouldn't you spend it too? wouldn't you have a big house? what's so fundamentally wrong about a big guy fighting for a little guy? why does the big guy have to pretend to be a little guy for it to not be considered hypocritical? -

dunn would be amazing IMO. awesome OBP, huge power, actually a not to slow power guy either - 7 steals on the year. replace Dye w/ Dunn and I'd say thats a job well done.
