QUOTE(T R U @ Mar 9, 2005 -> 08:58 PM) Dude that has to be THE ugliest guy ever in your avatar.. I swear he looks like a monkey/human cross.. Actually, when I first saw that picture, I thought of a rat. The dude needs a fade in the worst way. Plus, he's only shaved like 85% of his face. And even if he did take the time to brush up on his appearance, he'd still look like a rat, albeit a well-groomed rat.

QUOTE(knightni @ Mar 9, 2005 -> 05:53 AM) Separated at birth? As the kids would say, this thread is "da bomb".

BTW, when I was looking at Iverson stats, I found that the 76ers are 6-2 this year when Iverson takes 30 or more shots. I'd have expected 2-6 based on the games that I've seen (with Iggy and the rest of the gang just standing around).

QUOTE(qwerty @ Mar 9, 2005 -> 05:38 AM) He is still damn good. He's damn good because he can school pretty much anyone one-on-one, and he can certainly bail himself out with some nice passing when he's down near the rim, and he hustles his ass off & is a defensive force in the passing lanes. However, he has committed 5 or more turnovers in 26 games this year. He has 12 games with 7 or more turnovers. A typical shooting night would be 10 for 24, many of which are wild, ill-advised low percentage shots. When he has the ball in his hands, the rest of his team kinda goes to sleep. He brings too much off-the-court baggage with him. In the end, the positives outweigh the negatives. But I wouldn't want him on my team.

Gary Majewski :banghead Sorry, bad joke. I think I'll go with, umm, Adam Ricks?

Oooooh, icky! This reminds me of an ant problem I had when I purchased my house back in 2002. I went to get some Fruit Loops, and there were more ants than there were Fruit Loops in the box. I went kinda psycho with the ant poison, and since then, nada.

Allen Iverson had 12 turnovers tonight in a 104-85 loss to Golden State in Philadelphia. Way to go, A.I. Wow, what a loser.

QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Mar 4, 2005 -> 07:37 PM) Valentin -- '96(58) -- He's not ours, but there was a Jose Valentin listed at catcher That's Jose's little brother. He changed his name from Jose to Javier probably after he came to the realization that his parents are some serious dumbf***s, a la George Foreman (George named all of his sons George). Either that, or he just wanted to avoid confusion.

QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Mar 7, 2005 -> 11:08 PM) I am so pissed at the Chiefs. First they say they're going to sign Trotter, nope. Then Rolle, nope. What's next, trading Green, Holmes, and Gonzalez for 4 footballs and a waterboy? The Chiefs got Kendrell Bell today, eh? That's one hell of an acquisition.

After reviewing the list, my greatest fear would have to be this one: Rhabdophobia- Fear of being severely punished or beaten by a rod

QUOTE(qwerty @ Mar 8, 2005 -> 06:34 AM) Does curry block out, pass well, rebound well, any sort of court vision, hold onto the ball well, block well, have any sort of defensive presence? The answer to all those questions are.

QUOTE(soxman35 @ Mar 7, 2005 -> 11:57 PM) go BULLS GO BULLS "bucks are going to win because the bulls suck more then the bucks" You're like Poppy Hidalgo, although you remember to take your medication some days.

QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Mar 7, 2005 -> 11:01 PM) Edinger has to get his head straight............that's why he pulled all those kicks to the left! Ronnie Brown is going to Miami and with the Vikings looking to trade up for Benson/Brown, the Bears might be out of the running for a running back. Edinger is damaged goods as far as I can tell. I have nothing against the guy personally, but we need to dispose of his services ASAP. The Bears MGMT has expressed as much. And that really sucks about Ronnie Brown going to Miami, if it's true. I thought that they wanted a QB? -

QUOTE(EvilJester99 @ Mar 7, 2005 -> 10:51 PM) Tucker will be gone, Q Mitchell I bet goes to a guard position and Tait moves to LT. I like the move... makes the O line a lot better than we have seen in awhile.. now all you have to hope for is good health!! Yes...good health, a kicker, and Ronnie Brown. With Edinger, I don't see us advancing past the first round (supposing that we make the playoffs). He's terrible. -
QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Mar 7, 2005 -> 10:00 PM) Rod Strickland? Winner... Any particular reason why he's been on 10 different teams in his career? The Knicks, Spurs, Trailblazers, and Wizards all got rid of him while he was in his prime. Since he became a starter, his playoff record is 5-21. He has never won a playoff series in 7 tries...as the point guard running the show. And of course, the s*** really hit the fan when he went to Orlando in 2000, as he was one of the primary reasons as to why they started 5-25. He was traded to the Trailblazers shortly thereafter, only to rot on he bench for the rest of the season. Since then, I know, he's old and all, but he continues to suck it up. So, is he still a winner in your basketball world? I sure as hell hope not.

QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Mar 7, 2005 -> 02:40 AM) say, for instance, that the bowling ball at the exact second prior to release is a clock...if you are at 6 or 5 o'clock, you are in a good position for lots of lift and turn/hook/spin on the ball. When you come out incorrectly, your hand would be like right in the middle of the clock, or at 3 o'clock...if you are left handed, the first times are 6 and 7, middle remains the same, and the last is 9. I'd say that when I release, my elbow and my body are separated by 2 1/2 to 3 inches. I get terrific spin on the ball, though, but probably nowhere near as much as I could. I have games where I'll knock down at least 9 every time on the first throw, but I'll only have like 4 strikes altogether. It's very frustrating. More often than not, the #2 pin or the #8 pin is left standing. Also, how much distance (for a righty) should there be between the release point and the gutter? When I release, I'm a good 2/3 of a foot from the gutter.

Excellent news. I can't remember the last time we had this good of an offseason in terms of free agent signings. -
QUOTE(Steff @ Mar 7, 2005 -> 09:14 PM) HJ, you don't have to change it because I don't like it. It's not my call.. just my opinion. No, it's cool.

I'll put it in green, no problem.

QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ Mar 7, 2005 -> 08:48 PM) so what was actually discussed? Is he going to go before the senate committee? When does he think he'll start? Where does he buy the weed that was making him laugh so much? First off, Frank smokes only the finest, most potent weed. He never settles for schwag. He gets his weed from the spot, same as Paul McCartney. They (B & B) mostly just tried to figure out why Frank was soooo happy. Frank said that he's always been like that, but he's just misunderstood. He said that the press started to treat him like an asshole right around the Albert Belle era. They'd go to Belle for quotes, wouldn't get jack, so they'd instead have to rely heavily on Frank, and he wasn't a willing participant. That rubbed a lot of people the wrong way.

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Mar 7, 2005 -> 08:42 AM) Anybody want Stevie Franchise seriously? Haha, you know how I feel. Build around Howard, Nelson, and whatever you get for Francis. Francis is actually more of a winner than he is a loser (as opposed to guys like Stephon Marbury, Rod Strickland, etc), but he'll never get you that championship trophy. I could be wrong, but I seriously can not see it.

QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Mar 7, 2005 -> 07:25 PM) i love watching franchise do his job... and the doug christie trade was a dumb one in my opinion. It was a good idea at the time, because Christie is still a very good defender in the short term. Mobley is waaaaay too inconsistent on the defensive end.

Jonathan Hood mentioned that Frank might have raided Jimmy Piersall's medication stash before coming on for that interview.
-
Awesome interview. Big Frank was giggling like a little child throughout. Lots of LMAOs.

QUOTE(The Critic @ Mar 7, 2005 -> 07:58 PM) They name their songs things like "The Thing That Should Not Let It Be". Fairly funny stuff, actually. Fairly funny? Dude, that is a f***ing riot.
