QUOTE (Brian @ May 5, 2009 -> 01:15 PM) I don't think she is the mother. Remember an earlier episode, they made it pretty clear it isn't her when the jump to the voiceover talking to two different kids in the future than the ones we are used to seeing. I think maybe a connection to the mother, but not her. i thought that as well....hence my confusion. a season or two ago Ted said he went to some party and it turned out his wife was at the same party. Later, they indicated that Stella was at the same party leading you to believe it was her. I wonder if it was a writers mistake. i mean...it shouldn't be as confusing as Lost for pete's sake...lol

QUOTE (SoxFanForever @ Apr 29, 2009 -> 07:37 PM) Agreed, really enjoyed the final episode. Would have liked to see the actual battle though with Nathan, Peter and Sylar. So what are peoples thoughts, does Peter just have 1 of Sylar's powers? All of them? Some of them? i'm glad they didn't show the actual battle. Anything they would have done wouldn't have lived up to the potential. seeing Claire's eye, watching the flashing of powers and the yelling and screaming was an excellent choice to me.

another one bites the dust....... PORTLAND, Ore. -- Wrestler Paul Perschmann, better known as "Playboy" Buddy Rose, was found dead on his couch Tuesday in Vancouver, Wash. While no cause of death has been determined as of yet, Kurt Nielsen, a family friend, said Rose had been dealing with various health issues, including diabetes. He was 56 years old. Rose was one of wrestling's big stars in the 1970s and 1980s. He took part in the first-ever WrestleMania match on March 31, 1985, where he played the role of the masked Executioner and lost to Tito Santana. Rose worked for the WWF and the American Wrestling Association. He also was one of the stars of Don Owen's Portland Wrestling. A number of his matches have recently re-aired on the cable network ESPN Classic. No memorial plans have been announced

QUOTE (kev211 @ Apr 29, 2009 -> 07:41 AM) It became a mess all through out this season, but it defiantly got itself back together at the end. I don't think it was a mess ALL season....i think it was a season of 1 good show/1 bad show/1 good show/1 bad show. wasn't consistent till the end. the last 3 or 4 were very good.

I wasn't that fond of last night Scrubs but WOW....the shot of Jordan and Elliot walking on the beach and standing there in bikinis....WOW again. Christa Miller knocked it out of the park. She's 44 and looked amazing...even next to Elliot who looked great herself

Lost casts the role of young Jacob OBIVIOUS spoiler as it also refers to a couple times in out Losties past that Jacob was there. If it's true, it's very interesting.

Battlestar Galactica ended last night. Two hour series ender i thought was pretty ok. It answered some questions..left some hanging....the actual ending of the show i wasn't happy with but up till the last 5 minutes or so..i was generally pleased.

I thought 'Better Off Ted' was pretty ok last night. I could see the show hitting a good stride and being pretty funny. That means somehow(even though it's on ABC) Fox will find a way to cancel it on me LOL

I would love to know when people in Chicago got such thin skins that they let these name changes drive them as crazy as some people get. Willis Tower???? Macys???? U.S. Cellular????? IT'S A NAME PEOPLE...GET OVER IT!!! If you are of the generation that still remembers the old names then that's what you're gonna use. There is no naming police that is going to force you to switch. The Marshall Fields/Macy's switch story was getting NATIONAL press and being from the chicago area i was embarrassed by the whining shown on tv.

Back to mechanics...about a year into marriage my wife's car started leaking a bit of oil. We went to the dealer and the mechanic pulled me aside and aske the usual questions...how old is the car....do i change the oil regularly.....how many miles etc. by the end of the conversation, the guy told me that all my engine seals were bad and that the whole engine was going to be no good within a month or two. The car was my grandparents car and was very well maintained. When we got it, it was around 7 or 8 years old but had less than 50,000 miles on it and it was checked out twice before we got it. the mechanice assured me a new motor was needed and IIRC the whole bill would have been around $1500-$2000. I told him to forget it...I'd just drive it till it died and go from there. The car lasted me another 6 years!!! About three months later, i had it back at the dealership for a completely differnt problem (don't recall exactly what) and wouldn't you know it..i got the same mechanic. Again...he pulled me aside and said (and i will always remember this) "I can't believe your car is that old and the engine looks in phenominal shape. how did you do it??" I instantly asked for a manager and went crazy. I called the mechanic a lying SOB and explained why. Said either that SOB was lying to me then or he's lying to me now. i raised a stink. started telling customers why I was pissed off, started writing letters to them and above them with names and everything(i'm sure it did no good but i felt better). I know cars are getting more and more complicated and it sucks that you have to trust people you don't know. it always seems like it takes just one to lose trust for all.

It was good to see Horace again last night but i was wondering how the new baby is tied in. I was hoping someone would have asked what the kids name was.

i loved when Sawyer refered to Richard as 'the guy with all the eyeliner' plus Sawyer's whole conversation with Richard was very well thought out. It was nice to see Richard stunned for a change.

I thought this week's hour of Big Bang Theory and HIMYM was pretty good. not legendary....but another solid hour of comedy.

I'd like to be sitting poolside having a Mojito with Sam Axe on Burn Notice.

I love the fact that they are finally filling in the holes with the flashbacks and the characters are talking to each other for a change. Still a lot of mysteries out there but some getting answered

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 19, 2009 -> 06:16 PM) Looking at the LOST easter egg site, Ben is in a port of some kind when he is calling. I think you are spot on with your theory http://getlostpodcast.iimmgg.com/image/c28...93b5d56e9f8be3f This being Lost things are never what they appear. I don't think that Ben killed Penny (at lwast ot yet). Ms. Hawkins told Des that the island wasn't done with him yet. I think that Ben either went to Des's boat to convince Desmond to return to the island. I think we'll see that Des beat the crap out of them. Maybe he did threaten Penny and Charlie, but I think the threats were just a means of getting Des moving and headed towards the island.
