maybe he was smiling because its spring training and he is trying to keep a positive attitude and not get down on himself. Even though he loaded the bases i was actually impressed with the way he pitched out of it only giving up 1 run

or it could be health issues or family issues... there are a thousand reasons to retire not involving steroids.... so its kind of hard to "put 2 to 2 together" :headshake

lol just the other day i realized i was playing without the hitters eye mode thing for all star.... now i went from 1-3 run games to 8-10 run games i guess its time to go to the next level.

its a bunch of bs, they been doing it a long time its not harming anyone... this was just like a couple years ago when they tried to make the washington redskins change their names.... we already let them have casino's and the works why worry about a stupid mascot at a college school... you would think they would find something at least a bit more constructive to do. -
yeah i think in Oaklands case you can blame the GM over the manger.... its pretty clear from moneyball that Beane runs the show.

i wouldnt book Rodgers to San Fran yet after Alex Smith's recent workout which was supposedly amazing. -
QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Mar 17, 2005 -> 02:09 AM) You heard it here first. 2005 will be Dusty's last season with the Cubs, I don't even think he will finish the season. The expectations are so high, and that team is built like a house of cards. A couple of injuries (Prior, Wood ?) that linger could easily mean a freefall for that team. If Zambrano gets hurt, or any more of their prize pitchers, Dusty will be slammed about his handling of young pitchers through media leaks, and will be run out of town, just like Corky Juiceboy. hate to bring it to you but this wouldnt be the 1st place i heard it . But two things. 1. He will last the rest of the season no matter what happens 2. If they do make the playoffs which is possible he has at least another 2 years.

lol get that league pass thing or whatevr.

thats about the biggest bunch of bs i ever heard... Allen seems to forget what he was doing elbowing the s*** out of Hinrich and all and still getting the benefit of the doubt and Hinrich was called for the foul.

he is still with the organization because he bust's his ass off as hard as anyone and he is fan friendly.... also sox dont want to admit they made a mistake yet

im actually a big Aramis Ramirez fan and Carlos Zambrano. I know a lot of you guys dont like zambrano but didnt he say he was a white sox fan growing up or something like that.. Anyways he is their best pitcher and gets the least hype. -

well im sure right now they just want him to get the change up down for good, but maybe in the future it wouldnt hurt to learn a 4th pitch, i dont think they would do anything that would risk hurting him. -
i wouldnt mind him being on the bench in replace of timo.... hey maybe Timo can be a starter in charlotte
-
lol if they lose they can say its ok it was a high school varsity team... if you guys lose its to a bunch of 8th graders... id say only ones who have to worry about pride are you all.

i consider this Honels make or break year in terms of being a top prospect once again. While he didnt look 2 good his last outing he pitched pretty well his outing b4 that and this is his first time really pitching for like a year so i give him a break. So if he can show that he is again the same pitcher he once was as the season progresses i still got a lot of hope in him. as far as predicting goes here is my take 2006: 1B: Ross Gload(Konerko costs 2 much money for what he gives us, also he hurts our offense as much as he helps with his poor ass road stats and with his double plays) If Lyle Overbay is a F/A i wouldnt mind us looking at him good OBP guy. 2B: Iguchi(I have a good feeling about this dude.) SS: Uribe(will dissapoint in 2005 this be a make or break year kind of for him) 3B: Joe Crede(wont last the whole season, just taking up time for Fields to get some more AB's) LF: Aaron Rowand(hope he is a white sox for a long time) CF: Brian Anderson RF: Jermaine Dye(1 year left on his contract also stop gap for Sweeney) C: AJ Pieryznski(he is the man ) SP:Mark Buerhle SP:Freddy Garcia SP:Orlando/Contreras(one of these 2 will either be moved to bullpen or traded) SP:Jon Garland SP:B-Mac(his time to shine) in 2007: i have no clue but i hope Sweeney will be ready by then.

someone give me the spread

worse trade of all time i think the dodgers beat us on that by dealing Pedro for a s***ty ass 2B that batted i think an avg of .254 his 3 years with the dodgers.

eh it looks like its just a little inflamation that a lot of pitchers go through in spring training and nothing serious, as of now the cubs are expecting Wood and Prior both to be ready by the time the season starts so i wouldnt look to into it. -
lmao matt stairs.... ive stolen so many HR's with crawford the guy is a monster
-
QUOTE(Cerbaho-WG @ Mar 15, 2005 -> 03:11 AM) Rogo as a C+? The guy took 3 years to master High-A ball and he's somehow ranked higher than a far superior Pedro Lopez. wasnt it mostly injuries that held him back more than his ability to play the game?
-
i just think if Cotts goes to triple A and we need a 2nd lefty in the bullpen id feel a lot more better with Munoz out there than Walker also if he has a role like cotts last year it wont be that big of an impact on the team and gives Munoz good experiance.
-
i dont know how many times i need to say it, i dont give a damn how our players do in spring training, and Ozzie knows that spring training is not even close to the real deal. I suppose we should send Garland and Contreras to the minors too right and idonno hasnt Dye been struggling les send him down to AAA and put Borchard as our RF because spring training means so much.
-
if Cotts gets sent down to work as a starter i rather see Arnie Munoz up instead of Walker,

QUOTE(gotoh00 @ Mar 14, 2005 -> 03:59 AM) He threw a curve in Japan but it was ineffective against lefties. The press here says that it's just a modified sinker that's even slower than his normal one with more movement. He plans to keep it locked up until the season is about to start. P.S. Prize to the guy who identifies my avatar babe its my wife , she doesnt have a name just there to look pretty
