Jags just released Henderson, any chance the Bears take a look? Still think he has a couple of good seasons left and paired with Tommie/Peppers should make a pretty dangerous D-Line. Also hoping they still bring in a veteran safety whether it be Atogwe or Hamlin. On the offensive side of the ball, Faneca was just released and he was part of the best O-Line in the NFL last season.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 24, 2010 -> 07:26 PM) And I'm pretty sure union rules didn't allow it. That doesnt make any sense, a player can do whatever he wants... doesnt even need to have an agent.

QUOTE (JPN366 @ Apr 24, 2010 -> 05:29 PM) Me. I like filling minor league teams with good players at their respective levels even if they arent major league talent/prospects. Honestly there are only going to be a handful of guys on each level if that who are solid prospects, I have no problem filling rest of the team with guys like Cook, McPherson, etc. Load up the teams so they are all winners and our prospects come from winning atmospheres.

QUOTE (SnB @ Apr 24, 2010 -> 04:33 PM) every shot the preds are getting is just a fantastic scoring opportunity. brutal defense in front of niemi. They have 14 total shots on goal.... I dont care if they are getting good looks on those shots for Niemi to let 4 in is brutal. -

QUOTE (Brian @ Apr 24, 2010 -> 03:48 PM) Pretty awful shorty to give up From the boxscore it seems the Hawks defense has been pretty awesome but Niemi has been s*** today, still got to be happy with the lead going into the final period. -
QUOTE (Melissa1334 @ Apr 23, 2010 -> 10:24 PM) sorta kinda, not really. its not like ozzie said he rather have a platoon of kotsay and jones over thome and jones. it was either kotsay/jones or thome. and he chose the two Jones has always been a KW guy, I dont give Ozzie credit at all especially since he started Kotsay.....

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 23, 2010 -> 03:00 PM) So the only players to love right now are Lucy, Nix and Santos, haha. They're probably the 3 least accountable for the mess we're currently digging ourselves out from under. Have to give the love to Danks, Teahen, and Andruw as well. -
QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 23, 2010 -> 02:34 PM) So is correctly spelling "overrated". Oh well, I was answering a question by knightni, I didn't come to a sports messageboard to be judged on my grammar.
-
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 23, 2010 -> 02:08 PM) Clearly then, you could care less about whether it is used correctly. It doesn't bother me...grammar is overated.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Apr 23, 2010 -> 02:00 PM) ok sure. I dont know how you cant see Pennington as a solid backup....... Also with Henne being so young it makes 0 sense for the Dolphins to waste a pick on a QB when there are other players available that can actually help the current team.
-
QUOTE (knightni @ Apr 23, 2010 -> 01:27 PM) I always wondered, is it "could" care less or "couldn't" care less? It's couldn't, people commonly mess it up though.

I havent posted recently but have in the past and had no trouble with being banned, Ive heard horror stories on here about it in the past though. Usually even if they have strict guidelines Id imagine they wouldnt just ban people for the sake of banning. Be interesting to hear the moderator who banned you all point of view on the subject.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Apr 22, 2010 -> 08:37 PM) Kids are starting to learn english in China, but that is for the people who are pretty educated. Walking around and going to restaurants, etc, it will be very difficult to find anyone that speaks english. Usually you have to go with the old point method and order something with a picture otherwise you have absolutely no idea what you are ordering. Subways are pretty tough too, but they do have machines that translate into english. Beautiful city though, outside of the s***tiest air I've ever seen. Really?? I was there a few years back and it seemed most could at least speak a very broken english. Especially store vendors and in restaurants I had no problem communicating with people there. If you want s***ty air though go to Beijing, it is much worse.

QUOTE (SoxAce @ Apr 22, 2010 -> 01:45 AM) Your not the only one Carl.. Seems like the NFL wants to be the main prime time station (competing with the NBA/NHL playoffs, MLB games, etc.) I'll be flipping back and forth personally, though the Bears won't be picking on this day (luckally I guess) I like to see what other teams do with their picks. Im with you all, it should be the first 3 rounds on day 1 and the last 4 rounds on day 2.

QUOTE (danman31 @ Apr 21, 2010 -> 02:58 PM) Considering he was moved up for a non-outfield injury I think they just moved him up because he was progressing and doing well this spring. It really would be something if he continues to hit well and forces a callup to High-A this season. I know 1 thing for sure, Thompson/Mitchell would be fun to watch progress next season.

QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Apr 21, 2010 -> 01:40 PM) Did you ever go out at night? As a 21 yr old at the time of the trip, Im going to be looking for some nightlife (which will be easy to find is my guess) to go along with the cultural experience, was it easy to go out and meet people? India is a place that I wouldnt mind spending a few nights, if not on this trip then in the future. Ive been there and yeah I wouldnt worry about it not being safe, Im sure there are areas you will want to avoid but you can say the same about Chicago. Night life is a blast there as well, China men get drunk easy lol and alcohol is cheap.

School turns on webcam to possibly spy on students
GoodAsGould replied to Texsox's topic in The Filibuster
QUOTE (knightni @ Apr 19, 2010 -> 10:58 PM) The criminals are most likely other students. If they knew ahead of time that the camera would remotely activate, it defeats the reason that the school had for having them on there. As soon as they start finding missing laptops using the webcams word of mouth would of spread anyways, not too mention most people would have no idea on how to stop it taking pictures and it would serve as a deterrent(sp?) to steal the laptops in the first place. -

GoodAsGould replied to Texsox's topic in The Filibuster
School should have had students sign some kinda consent form that the student would know the situation would happen if laptop was reported stolen. Also, you would think the school would be more on top of turning the webcams off considering the invasion of privacy and obvious issues that could arise with abuse. -

My god.. I JUST missed that game too when it was on versus. What a goaile win for Anderson. 50+ save shutout. That was epic.. Sharks living up to their billing it seems. I think right now it has more to do with them just running into an extremely hot goalie, even in the 2nd game when he gave up a bunch the Sharks had 50 plus attempts vs him. -
My favorite random discussion point each spring

QUOTE (knightni @ Apr 13, 2010 -> 02:28 AM) Santos makes the most sense to me. He's young. A former hitter, with a rocket arm. There is a decent chance if your in need of a 3rd catcher that you are late enough in game where you have used some bp arms already. -
QUOTE (danman31 @ Apr 18, 2010 -> 05:49 PM) Trayce Thompson goes yard for his first professional home run. After Danks2/Mitchell, Thompson is probably my favorite prospect. He kinda stunk last season so hopefully he breaks out in a big way this year.

QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Apr 18, 2010 -> 03:51 PM) Viciedo 2-4. Hitting .256. I see him as more of a .275 hitter, so i'm not ready to write him off just yet. This will be his 1st year in Charlotte of what should be 2 years. Hopefully this season he can hit for a decent avg. and show a little pop and next year is when I'd expect him to really breakout.

QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 18, 2010 -> 02:04 PM) His inability to hit fastballs in ST reminded the organization of Josh Fields, and that's what spooked them. Well thats borderline stupid to make a judgement like that in ST. I really wonder what is going through the mind of the guys who help KW make decisions to produce this offense. -

QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 18, 2010 -> 02:01 PM) Not unless Flowers can magically start hitting fastballs and Pierre regains his speed. You boy Ozzie has done a lot of damage to this team, and the Twins look to be in a prime spot to dominate the AL Central for the next 2-3 seasons. I dont get the Flowers comment, how does he tear the cover off the ball in AAA this season and AA last season if he cant hit fastballs, other teams do have scouting reports and would know that. Is it because he struggled in ST that we decided he cant hit fastballs or whats the deal with that. I still have yet to see a scouting report where that is labeled a problem for Flowers. -

Of course a chance to make it a competitive game with our 3 hitter up and he grounds out, oh Kotsay was our 3 hitter makes sense.
