STAR WARS Everything
QUOTE (Y2HH @ Dec 31, 2015 -> 08:42 AM) Only if she's related to a son/daughter/cousin of Ol' Ben, otherwise she'd be in her 50's. yes, the Kenobi speculation is that she would be his granddaughter. If she's not Luke's daughter I hope she is of no relation to the Skywalker family.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Dec 15, 2015 -> 04:52 PM) Cats are the worst. That is all. Yeah they sure are.....especially when you have to put one down after 16 years a week ago. Merry Christmas to you too.

2015 Catch-All thread
QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Dec 15, 2015 -> 11:12 AM) My other cat used to get chronic UT infections and we switched his food - so I know the signs of that. I had to remove the shag rug. The cat no longer pisses or s***s anywhere but the box. The drinkign water out of the toilet is concerning. Hoping he doesn't have feline diabetes or something. We'll see. 1 of my cats got her hind leg caught in a pull string for a blind, we found her when we got home from work so we had no idea how long she had been like that. We took her to the vet right away. The vet thought she would eventually recover but might have some nerve damage and some trouble getting around. She slowly got better but started to get real skinny and urinate a lot. We took her back in and she had diabetes. We started insulin shots 2x daily and she continued to get better and put her weight back on. This happened in 2011 and each year we'd lowered her dose (per the Vet/glucose curve results), now I give her 1 small shot a day and she's doing great! She is on her way to 17 years old. Twice a year she goes to the vet for an entire day and they run a glucose curve on her. Only bad part is the price of the Insulin, close to $400 but a bottle lasts a year for us, especially since her dosage is so low now. Don't think of it as a death sentence if the cat has diabetes, some can do just fine with it.

Winter Meetings: Predictions
QUOTE (spiderman @ Dec 8, 2015 -> 05:39 PM) I don't read anything into this. First off, he may have just given 3 names off the top of his head. Secondly, as good as Quintana has been, he should never be on an untouchable list. That's silly. He was probably thinking of TCQ, just a brain fart, nothing to read into.

Religion and Gun Attacks
QUOTE (greg775 @ Dec 8, 2015 -> 10:50 PM) Have your read your HR handbooks? People are told to NOT say Merry Christmas. You are not supposed to do it. It's Happy Holidays. If Donald Trump wins, at least it's a victory over the PC police. Also what about all the comments from people who have said their kids are in Winter Plays not Christmas plays. You will NOT see mangers and the story of the nativity in any public school I've been around the last 10 years. WE CANNOT OFFEND ANYBODY nowadays. That's why it's cool Trump is going after Muslims. Somebody has to acknowledge all these DEATHS. Of course not all are bad. Of course we shouldn't be beating up people because they are different from us. BUT WE MUST PROTECT THE USA. Trump is right about that. so much crap in this post it's ridiculous.

2015 TV Thread
I took it as the ants were the walkers and the cookie was Alexandria. re:Chappas, This first half of the season was pretty poor, probably the worse one yet. By pulling that crap with Glenn now the viewers will not take any death as final. The best part about the show is (like GOT) nobody is safe. If no main characters can die then it's a lot like a prequel where you know certain characters are never truly in danger.

Technology catch-all thread
QUOTE (RockRaines @ Nov 23, 2015 -> 09:05 AM) So, got to play with the X1 system while installing it for my parents. Wow. Comcast has upped its game. Dare I say its better than Directv? The ONLY issue I have is that comcast doesnt group like stations near each other. There is no excuse to have an HBO on an island in the 100's then have other movie channles in other places. Just make them all in the 500's or whatever. weird my movie channels are all grouped together on our X1, at least the HD one's are all grouped together.

QUOTE (CWSpalehoseCWS @ Sep 24, 2015 -> 07:24 PM) The fact Robin is still managing blows my mind. Name one other manager that has kept their job with that type of performance over a three year period when their organization is "going to compete" for the playoffs. The Sox don't have a roster full of crap. Sure, there is mostly mediocre to average players, but clearly there's a pattern of players vastly underperforming here once they get here. In my mind that points to the coaching staff being unable to get them to perform at the level of their career norms. Hell, look at how awful the Sox have looked the last few years coming out of Spring Training compared to other teams during the first week of the season. This team wiffs at the fundamentals of baseball. And there's a lot to blame on the FO too. I give Hahn a pass for the most part, because I can't see him being fully in charge of the decision making while still living in KW's shadow. JR's undying loyalty and KW's stubbornness have slowly killed this franchise and produced the on-field product we have suffer through watching night in and night out. I don't see a massive amount of changes until JR kicks the bucket. careful you can't complain about the almighty JR around these parts.....
