What bothers me is when i'm taking the train or traveling back home. I can't pull a suitcase out of a taxi with some homeless dude coming up to me asking if they can "help" me. I always keep like five 10 dollar bills in my pocket just so I have something to give them so they will leave me alone. I'm always afraid one of these days i'll get robbed by one of them.

I can't believe the loser got like 2.5 mil... You'd have to pay me twice that to even let him stay on the roster.

I'm glad this worked out. This could of easily been a disaster. I'd still rather sign a starter then AJ, even if it's just El Duque.

I just think this is a huge gamble to save a few thousand dollars. KW can easily be left holding the bag if some team swoops in and thinks they can fix Big Ben and we don't sign AJ... Then who do we have left?

I think the point he was making is Burke can also play 3B, 1B, RF. With both Davis and Burke as backups to AJ Ozzie would have alot more flexibility for his lineups (which he likes)

IMO this is proof KW is a total f***ing moron... Ben Davis could now sign with another team. We have no catcher at all now and any agent is going to really know how desperate KW is and make him pay out the ass. Of course he won't and all this will do is have us wind up with a catcher that is worse then Ben Davis. :puke

What confuses me is we offered him a contract at his current salary... I mean he's coming off an injury. How many guys get as much money as the year before after having injury problems let alone a f***ing raise. No way in hell any other team gives him the 1.7 Mil we offered him. EDIT: No idea why I had shortstop on their. Guess I have shortstop on the brain...

Yes to El Duque if he comes at a reasonable cost. Also deferred dollars and inventives. No to Cruz. He hasn't proven himself to be a consistant starter yet. We don't need another pen arm...

IMO this trade needs to regarded as a failure until either Pods proves he's not a fluke or until Kenny signs another SP whichever comes first...

While Grilli is perhaps the worst pitcher ever... :puke There is no way you can say Diaz flat out sucks... For god sakes his really horrible starters were all from games where he was just going from AAA to the majors. Hell they threw the kid out there in his first starts on 8 days rest and then f***ing 3 days rest. Thats how you f***ing treat a kid making his major league debut. The kid has talent. He has exellent control. The guy dominated AAA last year. Compare that to what Grilli did down their and your choice should be obvious about who should start. And not only that Diaz had some damn good starts to show from his efforts in the majors and great bullpen run. All Grilli has is the f***ing offense bailing him out. That being said I think we need a 5th starter badly and I want someone more proven.

Meaning Bugs Bunny has a better chance of making the roster out of Spring Training then he does... :rolly

If Diaz was given all of the chances to start that Grilli was he would of out performed him. Not only that if you look at their AAA numbers: Felix Diaz was 10-2 with a 2.97 ERA in 19 games (17 starts) Jason Grilli was 9-9 with a 4.83 ERA is 25 starts If he couldn't cut the mustard in AAA do you really expect him to do any better in the majors. Given a level playing field Felix would outperform him 10 times out of 10. I just hope Ozzie and KW give him a real shot if no one is signed and just don't had the job to Grilli.

Your right... So are the greatest team ever assembled. Scott Posednik is going to hit .450 and steal 200 bases and we're going to sweep the world series. We will sign Perez and trade for Johnson too. Every Sox fan has a right to be pissed about this until KW delivers. Don't act like i'm not a real fan just because I don't like the GM stabbing us in the back.
