I don't think it's any secret of my opinion. I have been saying for months that I wanted Harris to be able to have a full season at 2nd base, batting 9th so he can have less pressure on him and work out his problems. Maybe something will click for him. IMO he's better defensively then 90% of the second basemen in baseball so he's not going to hurt us with his glove. He just needs to bring up his average a bit when it comes to LHP and he'll be fine.

Honestly I think if we were going to bother raising money for them they would need the cash alot more then give certificates. I would be willing to chip in (although I don't have a credit card) so it would have to be a paypal, money order kind of thing...

The thing about it is he's done it three years straight. Honestly I can't see him regressing. I think he's hit his bottom and he can only get better from here.

I've never liked big churches. The church I attended back home had like a max of 20 people. I liked that. Small, cosy, comfortable and everybody knows everybody. I must admit it's harder for me to get comfortable in a big church. Ohh well...

Just thought i'd add this thought. The problem with "raw power" is you still have to make contact with the ball. Joe Borchard is the perfect example. He can hit all the 500 + foot homeruns he wants but until he can put up a decent average none of it is going to matter.

Exactly... Hell his career high in average is like .240. Even Crede has done better then that. Plus you add in Crede's defense and it's no contest. No way in hell would Monson be in upgrade over Crede under any circumstances, no matter how much you hate Crede.

Not sure if this counts but I wish Billy Joel would go back to writing rock music. If anything so he'll go out on tour again. I want to see him in concert at least once before he dies.

IMO KW would be stupid to give up a cheap solid arm like Garland, and believe it or not by the end of the year he always comes out solid. Not spectactular. Not great. Disappointing for sure. But he always comes out solid and for 3.5 mil in this market you can't find better.

The problem is all the GM's around know that the organization isn't thrilled with Harris as well. Obviously they wouldn't give us anything near quality for him. He is too good of a value for what he makes. Like I said we have much bigger holes then Harris. I'd much rather leave Harris as the 9 hitter and upgrade at C.

Honestly I couldn't see any good out of us signing Cora... 1) He weakens us defensively. 2) Just as inconsistant as our current second basemen. 3) He's the brother of our managers best friend (and our third base coach) which means I believe he could hit around the mendoza line and they still wouldn't take him out of the lineup even if Harris was hot. I just don't like the idea of paying someone a mil or 2 to get someone just as inconsistant as we already have. I'd much rather have Cairo.

I can't see him giving Joe Crede a run for his money, and thats saying something. Yet as a backup he could be decent. Yet I would rather get a starting C and let Jamie Burke be the 3rd catcher/3B/1B

Worse Case Scenario: Same 12 games won. Best Case Scenario: 15-18 games won.
