Straight salary dump. I defended KW before but unless he signs a 5th starter before spring training then he has lost a supporter.

Honestly even if we sign no one I still can't see Grilli out performing Diaz in spring training... In my opinion the kid has talent, tremendous control, the guy had an outstanding year at AAA Charlotte. Not only that he had like 2 Quality starts last season and had a very good stint in the pen toward the end of the year. The only problem is I think Grilli could totally tank it and Diaz could throw 5 perfect games and I think Kenny would still give Grilli the job. Maybe thats a little extreme but this Grilli thing has already gone too far. The fact we are even talking about this at all makes me sick.

But we made out great trading C Lee for Pods and that relief pitcher I can't remember how to spell his name... :headshake

You really think Jason Grilli is better then ANYONE on that list... Yes Diaz is better then most of the people on that list but Ozzie and Kenny will never give him a legit shot because of their Grilli hardon. Anything is better then having Grilli in the rotation.

Everyone on that list is better then what we have already...even Elo... Honestly I don't even give a s*** anymore who just f***ing GET SOMEONE!

Like I said before we deal Carlos as a salary dump. He didn't want talent because talent costs money. Instead he wanted a one year wonder so it would stay cheap. JR isn't in a hurry to bring in a 5th starter with that 6 Mil. He'd rather keep the money so our payroll can be as low as possible.

Like I said no matter what we need to keep Garland. I'm afraid KW has a serious hardon for Jason "The Puke :puke" Grilli. If we trade Garland thats it. There is no other 5th starter. Jason Grilli=no division title just himself. He's that bad. I want them to get a starter and not give up anything. We can't f***ing afford to. Like I said before the longer we go without signing a starter with that C Lee money the worse this trade looks. If we start the season with out one it will be offically worse then the Ritchie and Botch deals. Also quit all these fairy tales of JR signing Clement, Vazquez, a C, and in infielder. We will be lucky if he doesn't take that 6 mil he saved in the C Lee deal and buy himself an ivory back scratcher with it. I'm sorry but the longer this goes on the sicker I am with this whole situation.

Am I the only one who seriously thinks that JR and KW should of made a serious run at her as a 5th starter. Shes a hell of alot more talented then anyone we have, would be like cy young compared to anyone else we have currently, we would get a ton of national press coverage for it, she would come extremely cheap, and lastly she'd be the nicer on the eyes then any other player on the team. Ohh well....

There is no if there is not a starter... It's either a starter or KW loses his job... Hell I don't even care if it's just a non-tender or freaking Esteban Loazia again. I want somebody, anybody who can win at least 8-10 games. GET OFF YOUR ASS KW!

Anything that keeps KW from making a sucide move in trading for RJ is good news to me. However he better sign an decent pitcher considering he gave up Lee for a one year wonder CF who can steal and a bullpen arm we didn't even need. If he doesn't then this offseason is not only a failure but I can't imagine us being in contention, that is off course unless the Twins and Indians get hit by the injury bug hard. KW we are waiting. Get us what we need or else!

In my opinion it's about damn time. You need to have limits. You need to have these games behind the counter much like they do with playboys. No 12 year old kid needs to be playing GTA. I like the way Wal-Mart does it with the computer prompting the clerk to ask for ID. However we need to go further. We need harsher penalties for clerks who ignore the rules and sell to kids.

I don't get why some of you still thinks it's possible for us to get RJ.... I mean look at the deal Arizona wants... Jon Garland (24 year old, 3 years under his belt, great upside) Major League Starting Out Fielder (AKA Aaron Rowand, if you think they will take Pods, Borchard, or Everett your INSANE) Damaso Marte Top Prospect (Brian Anderson or Ryan Sweeney) ....Anyone who thinks we should give up that for a 41 year old pitcher is nuts. Not only that it leaves no money for a 5th starter. No money for an offensive upgrade anywhere. If Kenny does that he needs to be fired :puke

My honest question I want to ask... Why on earth did we aquire Posednik when there must of been someone, anyone who had more consistant minor league numbers available. All of him minor league stats point to a one year wonder why are we gambling our season on him as our "lead off" hitter. Also who are we going to trade to make room in the pen since we need at least one long man (who we don't have room for now)

Honestly I have to disagree with those of you who say we should of seen another year from Uribe before we signed him. Honestly what if he has another year like last year. Then he would be much more expensive. IMO it's better to get him long term while he's cheap and at the very least we have a solid utility player. Gotta love this deal...

If we make this deal then i'll be around to pick them up in October. You can keep the girlfriend though... :rolly
