Wow, a number of comments: 1) What a light return! The Marlins waited over a year for THIS return!?!? This is insane! How many times have we heard 'Realmuto deal is close' with tons of various teams. The best they could do with all of this negotiating was Sixto? I like sixto, of course, but that is beyond weak. It's amazing what our Quintana trade netted us. 2) Marlins Front Office sucks. As already reported in this thread -- WOW those are some ugly trades. 3) Realmuto is an awesome get for Phillies The phillies are completely transforming. They still might be that one big whale away from really being a favorite, but my goodness -- David Robertson, Juan Nicasio, Andrew McCutchen, Jean Segura, J.T. Realmuto.... That's how you make an offseason. Come on White Sox, make it happen with BRYCE AND MACHADO.

1. Universal DH should definitely be a thing. It's long overdue and I don't think I need to repeat the argument why. 2. I DON'T like the pitch to 3-batter rule. First, the whole injury scenario that is being discussed is a legitimate concern. If a pitcher feels a tweak he may be more inclined to try to pitch a few more batters to not break the rule and suffer a DL stint of sorts. That could lead to an increase in devastating injuries. I think this rule is similiar to the 'no-shift' rules. It's like saying 'we can't beat it, so let's make a rule against it.' I realize that that this is more for the entertainment of the viewer, but perhaps there could be ways to streamline this process or better reward pitchers who pitch more innings, idk. The limit of 3 seems arbitrary. Why not 2? Why not 4? Just because it's one inning? What if you get 1 out of 3? You can be pulled then? etc. There's gotta be better ways to 'fix' the game then forcing RP to face 3 batters or limiting how many pitchers you can use per game.

I just heard a bunch of propaganda based motives fueled by at best poor statistic understanding and at worst flat out lies. Also, repeated usage of using victims to gain propaganda based applause. Basically, I heard nothing but garbage, very little substance.

Yup -- the people behind that project were posting on the CNCNet forums and the reddit CNC section asking for help/suggestions on what to do... unfortunately they decided not to do ra2/yr at the time. No -- never played Supreme Commander... but Ra2/YR was an extreme addiction for me. I'm talking, this game has been about 18 years and I still play it... back when it first came out I played 21 hours per day every day during summer break. I wasn't happy with Raw tonight (before you b****, I've been happy with Raw and Smackdown for the past 3-5 weeks). The opening with McMahon and Lynch was questionable. I could see how some would feel that there is a 'Stone-Cold' feel going on here with Lynch getting the badass reaction over a McMahon, but I felt Stephanie had no business being here and this was all about her ego. It also made Lynch look pretty stupid as all she had to do was get a check with the Doctor. If the storyline is that she knows she's hurt beyond repair, that's a pretty rough storyline to be carrying for the next two months -- good luck with that one not backfiring. We had the Jeff Jarrett/Road Dogg and Elias segment+match. That is at least 1 week overdone. At the rumble it was cool to see Jarrett... the next night on Raw it was a natural finish/send off/fun... this time around it was a waste of time and hurt the product. I'll give them a positive for the Bayley/Banks tag match. They obviously had to have Banks/Bayley wins and Banks was real-life injured so they needed to keep her away from the wrestling and they made it a match with the early shenanigans. The Kurt Angle story was absolutely horrid. They toy us with some big announcement, but he didn't say a single interesting thing and all it led to was a DQ finish match between Angle/Strow and Corbin/Drew. Angle continues to look like a fool in this storyline and I'm not sure it's helping any of the 4. The Finn/Lio/Bobby storyline progression was good. No problems there. The bliss segment was stupid. EC3 kinda looked like a fool and had a really awkward match with Ambrose. Nia being there sucks, fuck her. The Tag Match was also a major, major down point. The Revival win in a four corners tag match that just last week on Smackdown had 3 pins.. this match was the first pin to win. Revival have now had multiple chances at the tag belts. Just boring to give them another straight chance. Overall, there was a lot of bad (tag, Kurt angle segment) and questionable decisions (Lynch). At best, there was some OK storyline progression (Finn and HugnBoss connection) and thus, it was a lost show -- I would have been better off not watching it.

I don't think the Marlins will give up Brinson. They want to play him to their sure he's nothing.

Yahoo Fantasy Baseball opened this weekend. I was hoping to be super hyped for baseball at this time.... but until Harper and Machado sign, I can't commit to anything. I'm sad.

What.. the... actual... fuck.. can this Bulls season get any more.. weird? I'm not a basketball fan anymore, but I've been following more of the Bulls then I expected... Trade/relase Mello, the entire saga of the coaches, all the weird quotes about benching players, the injuries, the absolutely horrid defense (only the bulls twitter memes), and now we have Stacey King circling boobies.

So who's everybodies favorite wrestlers currently? 1. Bayley - Always my #1. Love her character and moveset, think she is a great wrestler and the absolute perfect babyface. 2. Becky Lynch - How can it not? 3. Sasha Banks - Would like her more as a heel, but she still has the most swag of any wrestler. 4. Daniel Bryan - Love his current character and obviously good in the ring, wish he had some better matches in the past few months tho. 5. Tie: Charlotte/Asuka - Both amazing wrestlers and great characters, Charlotte has taken a back seat towards Becky for the most part and has become a weird heel/face which I'm not a huge fan of, but she's the best ever as far as women wrestling goes. Asuka is simply phenomenal in the ring. 6. Velveteen Dream 7. The Miz 8. Adrade Cien Almas 9 Elias 10 Alexa Bliss 11 Pete Dunne So that makes it 5 girls to 1 guy in my top "5". Step up your game gentleman. Recently off my list or just-missed: Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn (both injured), AJ Styles (hasn't produced), Finn Balor (Just missed, he hasn't had a real storyline since he's come back from injury on WWE, all of his storylines are just to get by), Bobby Roode (needs heel turn desperately, his face run is dull), Nakamura (self-explanatory)

Yup, I'm with you there. I would rather the W'Sox pony up the money for Machado + Harper wayyy earlier. The way this is dragging on leads me to believe the White Sox FO is being as cheap as possible here which is not a good sign, but I still think they at least get one.

There's no chance that the Padres needed Boras to show them the marketing greatness that Harper possesses. My guess is that they initially thought that they'd be priced out of the two whales, and no realize that they can afford them due to how bad the market has been. I still think that means that ultimately Harper/Machado get deals that they were somewhat looking for and that means Padres are left on the outside.

What more will you need? Every major news outlet and media outlet will be covering it. If you don't know within the first hour they sign, you sure as hell will know within the next 5 hours just by existing.

This is a great analysis of our offseason so far. If we don't get one of harper/Machado we have had a very bad offseason, however, none of it is critically dampening to our long-term success with the rebuild. However, I'm much more skeptical about our future due to these poor moves now compared to where I was prior to the off season. It just seems like the front office continues to fail (but I admit that the jury is still out here).

Definitely. It's a cost-benefit analysis and unfortunately, I just don't have as much time for games these days. I miss playing them for hours on end, but if I do that these days, then I feel like a failure as I have other goals to get to. I basically play one game at a time. Last year (2018) it was all Fortnite. I quit that game as one of my resolutions in 2019. This month (January) I played a lot of Red Alert 2: Yuri's Revenge (very old game). February I'm planning to finish Ni No Kuni II and then March and beyond I plan to finish up Kingdom Hearts 3.

The NBA just sucks.. I can't think of a scenario where the Bulls will be championship material in the next 7-10 years.

Yup -- Heavy Machinery has made me a big fan of them in their matches and antics. They are characters.. something that is truly lacking on the men's side of things. They also have some very innovative tag team mechanics.

The promo was great. I just don't get this gimmick. It's blah to me, but DB is making it work because he's fricken great. By the way, Joe's promo as he walked down the ramp was amazing. I was laughing so hard. As a vegan and environmental extremist, I think his gimmick is awesome. I get so much hate from people often for no reason that it just screams heel heat. It would be 100x better if his matches with AJ Styles were actually worthwhile and not total DUDS. I can't believe how far AJ Styles has fallen off. He used to be able to get a 4-5* match out of just about anyone (including Reigns, Cena, Shane)... now he can't get a 3* match out of Bryan, Naka, or Joe. I'm not saying all of his matches are garbage, but it's the expectations dilemma. I look forward to his matches constantly as dream matches, but often they are mediocre at best and at worst straight garbage like Naka vs. AJ at WM and Bryan vs. AJ at RR. As a smark who dreams of these matches coming to fruition on the big time events, I'm deeply let down by him. As for the Elimination Chamber event... we have a 6-pack WWE Championship match with Daniel Bryan, Mustafa Ali, Samoa Joe, Jeff Hardy, AJ Styles, and Randy Orton. Smackdown is doing great and I really enjoy just about every smackdown I watch now... but my God, they have some serious useless shit at the top. I couldn't care less about Hardy or Orton. Mustafa Ali has no business here. AJ gets every chance in the world even when he blows. Samoa Joe is interesting but they've hurt him.

Wow, that's kind of shocking and admirable. Dean is a guy that WWE made famous, gave him tons of opportunities (although with the WWE's shit booking) and I'm sure he was paid well. Seems like he didn't like what creative was doing (obviously I don't blame him), perhaps this means he's headed to AEW. I'm lukewarm on both Dean and Rollins as they have unquestioned talent, but seem to suffer from always being in the spotlight/behind Reigns for years/and bad booking. Poor Dean couldn't be crazy Dean in the WWE and his character suffered the most of the three.

That Drake Maverick manager guy was meeting with Mr McMahon and with 1/2 of AOP out injured he made a 'deal' that if 1/2 of AOP + 1/2 of Revival beat Glorious, then AOP and Revival will recieve future tag team championship matches. They lost. So, seems like a quick make shift plan to get those guys on the card since they had the down time early.

Also -- not a big fan of Rollins. I'll give him a shot here during the WM build, but I've been very hit or miss with him and it just gets old. He's not reigns-level bad, but I don't actively look to support him. I didn't see a huge pop for him either as the winner. Don't see Lesnar vs. Rollins as a success or something to look forward to.
