  1. It's not necessarily the 'best' relievers that they are using in the first inning... it's the relievers that are best suited to face off against the opposing teams top of the order. It isn't like the Rays are throwing Andrew Miller or Josh Hader out there in the first and wasting that amazing arm... they have a bunch of no name relievers doing all this.
  2. That would be a bad idea, I think. We need Moncada and possible Tim Anderson to get as manny PA's as possible for experience purposes. Let's all remember... re-build.... losing does not matter right now. So far Giolitto seems to be correcting himself this year which is HUGE. Moncada needs to analyze what the hell is going on now.
  3. Yup, the future of baseball with the way things are going. It just makes too much sense. Find the best possible reliever against a teams starting line up, use him to get through the first 3-6 batters, then switch over to a long man/SP for 4-5+ innings, then finish it off with specialized relievers. Such a beautiful way to pitch the game with the use of the best possible advanced statistics.
  4. Gotta say -- love what the Rays are doing. Such a smart move to have an opener elite RP face off against the top of the order and then switch.
  5. Eloy Jimi... oh, wait. Let's go with Yoan Moncada batting first.
  6. Yup -- im with you there. That was an awkward play -- it WAS caught, but ruled not caught... if I was the batter I probably would have stopped or slown down with that as well. Anyway, it happened in an instant... hard to really say Timmy didn't hustle or something based off of that.
  7. Yoan Moncada has been looking pretty bad for a while now, huh? I keep waiting for him to just go off, but it just doesn't come :(. The K's are REALLY concerning.
  8. Strike 'em out, throw 'em out of Anderson (CSB) and Leury (K). Damn.
  9. Wow, crazy trade here. Meadows + Glasnow should do well/have a better chance in the Rays org. As for Archer... not sure what the Pirates are doing there.
  10. Weird trade, but it seems to be a trade due to clubhouse problems with Pham. I don't necessarily think Pham is 'in the wrong' here as I don't know all the details.
  11. Some crazy news here, but IMO a very smart move by the Nats to make him open to trade. Try to cash in on something, their season is likely lost.
  12. Twins selling. Escobar was brilliant for them this year.
  13. Gleyber Torres is worth more than DeGrom and worth much more than Rodon.
  14. I would be very interested in trading Rodon for a Q-like package. As long as the return is similiar I think you have to do it. Rodon has had struggles with us. He'd be a better option outside of our park. He's also very injury prone and if we can get a Q like return for him, then you have to do it 100% of the time.
  15. That's bonkers. Vlad Guerrero is worth more than Rodon on his own. Vladdy is straight Gold. That's not to downsize Rodon's value... just to make sure you realize that Vlad is insanely valuable right now. Oh, and on Mejia, why do people want him? He's not going to be able to play catcher long term due to his defensive inabilities... if he goes anywhere else he's just an average hitter (he doesn't have much pop).
  16. Yup -- overall WWE is a fucking mess right now. Reigns vs. Lesnar has to be some of the worst matches I've ever seen (at least, with expectations considered). It's finisher/signature spam until someone just lays down for 3.
  17. All three of those guys would’ve had to be protected on the 40-man, which the Yanks don’t have room to do. Good trade for both clubs.
  18. Spot on. Personally, I don't see it as that 'historic' of an announcement. As a big fan of Women's wrestling I'd be much more interested in changes in their division or an all-women's show. They just don't have enough time per current show to showcase a division that is representative of the talent they have. Stories are left incomplete and meshed together due to low amounts of time to give around. People (Mickie James, Nia Jax, Natayla) are forced to switch heel/face on a dime to get TV time. Oh, and we get Roman vs. Lesnar... gggggrreeeattttttt
