Interesting NBA rumor
QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Feb 23, 2005 -> 10:09 PM) You guys don't seem to want to understand that Chandler doesn't get the minutes because of his questionable hands (sometimes it just seems to slip through), lack of offensive presence (you have to admit he has NO offensive moves), and mental mistakes. Although he has a lot more talent, potential, and upside, the fact of the matter is that Antonio Davis and Othella are going to make the better decisions... I hope we're watching the same games. I like what Skiles is doing because he rotates in a way that gives the team the best chance to win. People wanna complain about the minutes the players get, but I think Skiles is doing a great job. Too many of our guys are one-dimensional, so Skiles plays them at the right time. Curry is gonna play early because he sets the tone down low and scores early. He won't be in the game during crunch time because he has no idea what to do. Ben won't get his minutes because he sucks on defense, but his clutch shooting puts him in during crunch time. Tyson will be there to because he has the best chance as getting a timely block... Questionable hands? Still no. Small hands? Yes. Have you noticed that he has been nailing that 15 foot shoot alot more. All he has to do is that to become one of the best players in the league. Have i complained about the minutes the players are getting? No. But i actually do believe he needs to have a quicker trigger with hinrich. All i was getting at is if given the minutes chandler will be a force to be reckoned with in this league whether you like to believe so or not. Gordon's defense does not suck either. Like i said else where. His offense just out weighs his defense that much. Same thing has also been said for nowitzki. But has that ever been true? Nope, he was not the best defender but definitely not the worst. His scoring ability more than made up for whatever he did lack defensively.

MVP Baseball 2005
QUOTE(Spod=Ratings @ Feb 23, 2005 -> 09:51 PM) i had him at 65 power and contact for both andlike 86 speed thats all i remember...then again maybe thats bad luck cause he is out for 60 games already.... Anyone else hate how they still catch everything! He should be faster. Like 93 or higher. He wasn't one of the fastest players in all of japan for nothing.

Interesting NBA rumor
QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Feb 23, 2005 -> 09:37 PM) Wow. You guys sure are high on a guy with questionable hands... I'm still not sold on Tyson, and you guys are vastly underrating Radman. Questionable hands? Wtf. I have been saying it for a long time now and i believe hammer agrees with me. You give him the same amount of minutes that ben wallace gets per night chandler would put up the same type of numbers if not better. He would be an all around better player. Can shoot free throws at a higher rate along with field goal percentage. Chandler probally has the smallest hands in the league for a guy his size but it doesn't seem to matter at all. I like radmanovic and i believe hammer does too. But i mean come on. He is a 6'10 power foward averaging 4.7 rebounds per game while getting 2.9 minutes per game than chandler. Sure he can shoot the three ball but what else does he do well? Blocks? No. Steals? No. Good defense? Eh. He does pass pretty well for a big man though. When you are 6-10 and your field goal percentage is what a typical point guard shoots ( .425 this year, .419 career) you have problems. Chances are if you give chandler 35 minutes per game he would be either 1st or second in the league in rebounding any given year. Would be first in offensive rebounds. Possibly the most important stat as a defensive player. Also, he would be top five in blocks per game. If he gave us 10 points at a high percentage, 12-14 rebounds, 2.25-3 blocks, 1-1.5 steals, pretty low amount of turn overs it would look like this. Chandler>>> radmanovic and i really do like radmanovic.

Bulls-Cavs
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Feb 23, 2005 -> 08:49 PM) I'm aware. Now I have to go play MVP 2005 and forget about how much I hate the Bulls at the moment. Are you one of those people that if the bulls go 4-1 you still want paxson and skiles fired?

Who does Ben Gordon remind you of?
QUOTE(rangercal @ Feb 23, 2005 -> 09:04 PM) He had a sideline interview with tnt on the bench during the rookie game just to interview him about his great ball handling so I dont think I'm getting carried away. As far as speed goes, ben is quick, but not Iverson quick , yet. You can say since he is a rookie my comparison is part projection. I don't think he is all the way there yet as far as speed, but will get there. So gordon will suddenly get faster? Possibly, but not enough to ever be faster than iverson in iverson's prime.

QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Feb 23, 2005 -> 08:15 PM) Does anyone else get super pissed off at a single missed FT? I don't think anything pisses me off more. Hate it more than anything. They are not called f***ing free throws for nothing.

Who does Ben Gordon remind you of?
QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Feb 23, 2005 -> 08:08 PM) LMAO, maybe I should just stick to talking about my Magic. I only said Allen was a cancer, because of the situation back in Milwaulkee a few seasons ago, when there was Karl, Glenn Robinson and Sam Cassell, and there was all of the infighting. Plus with the contract extension thing, and him wanting big money, there's been rumors of that. Gordon isn't really the Iverson type as he doesn't really drive into the paint as much as him, and tends to settle for the jumpers. So allen is a cancer because he was a teammates with one of the biggest cancers in sports ( big dog), e.t., and wants big money? He is one of the best guards in the nba. He deserves a max contract which he will get. I could see if bobby sura said that that people would be pissed.

Who does Ben Gordon remind you of?
QUOTE(rangercal @ Feb 23, 2005 -> 06:57 PM) How can you say no? this guy has unbelievable moves, speed, and ball handling. He's also just a rookie and improving. AI has not improved since his rookie year, he's pretty much been the same player his whole career. Um, let's see here. Gordon while fast is not as fast as iverson ever was or is now. Also, gordon doesn't have any where near the stamina that iverson has. Who always leads the league in points per game? Yup, iverson. Gordon and dkiles have both admitted that is a main reason why the bulls cannot afford to start him. Because they need him down the stretch. While gordon is a very good ball handler are you really comparing him to one of the best in nba history? Iverson is a top fifty player of all time and a first ballot hall of famer. Period.

Shaquille O'Neal
QUOTE(rangercal @ Feb 23, 2005 -> 06:52 PM) Red Kerr said he "heard" he was out for year. He heard it from where everyone else heard it from. The fake article. That news traveled fast as hell.

MVP Baseball 2005
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Feb 23, 2005 -> 05:21 PM) All the 25 man roster guys except Iguchi. Baj is in AAA (very cool) Arnie munoz, Mike Jackson (yes thriller), Kelly Wunsch, wilson Valdez among other minor leaguers. Arrow is extremely improved. Freddy Garcia is the best player. Why would jackson be on there? I mean he was cut and all.

Shaquille O'Neal
QUOTE(Yoda @ Feb 23, 2005 -> 03:44 PM) I agree. Not only do I enjoy watching him play, but I also enjoy watching the Heat play. I’ve seen a couple of games when the Heat is playing and Shaq and Wayde are fun to watch. If Miami loses Shaq than they can be in serious trouble. Well they will still make the playoffs but they will not make any noise once they are in the playoffs.

Shaquille O'Neal
QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Feb 23, 2005 -> 03:22 PM) Vasko (score update guy) just said: Miami Herald reported that Shaq is out for the season with ligament damage, but the team has yet to release anything. Ya, the miami hearald is the fake article. Haha, the link no longer works.

Shaquille O'Neal
QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Feb 23, 2005 -> 03:16 PM) Man, I hope that someone calls up and and straightens these guys out, because they're still going on and on about it. Heat fans have heard nothing about it in miami so i am definitely calling bulls***.
