  1. He's at 2.5 fwar and 2.1 bwar. His numbers have gotten better since he got to Miami. As someone already said, the numbers are on his side. They certainly aren't on Jake Eder's. Simple as.
  2. You cannot trade a 2.5-3.0 WAR player for a single minor league pitcher. The bust rate is way too high for that. We quite literally picked up pitchers off the scrap heap that were better prospects at one point than Eder will ever be. Eder could be a rule 5 victim by this time next year.
  3. I've seen him out on a few occasions and have seen friends video of it as well. I've never seen this for another player, personally. He's certainly got a reputation.
  4. Does it matter? I'm sure they made it clear to him. At least maybe we won't play short-handed under the new regime.
  5. The 8 million is the difference, so the number he would need to beat on the open market.
  6. I think he opts in. Nobody wants him. 8 million isn't a lot on the open market for his performance but he's been passed over twice. More of a question on if the Sox opt in. They're paying him 4 million anyways.
  7. You didn't draft TA, Chris.
  8. Obviously ten years is an exaggeration, but even mentioning this appears long-term pitching deals are off the table.
  9. Lol non-answer to whoever asked a great question on whh he's qualified if the minors have been underperforming.
  10. How the f*** is Getz an exception to hiring inside the organization? How does Bruce Levine have a job?
  11. It's a business but yeah can't imagine Giolito happy about going to Cleveland.
  12. I realize they have 0 voting powers but how does Jerry face the other 80% shareholders when making moves like this? I guess George Lucas doesn't care that much. But someone there has to. Even his own son moved the Bulls in a different direction.
  13. We'll see. Unable to be traded and no waiver claims would indicate he's being something being blackballed.
  14. If he doesn't get picked up, there's a decent chance the mutual option gets picked up I think, which would be a rarity. The Sox pick it up since they already have to pay him 4 million and he's much better than the extra 8 million option. Clevinger sees he couldn't be traded, and now couldn't be waived, may realize there's no market for him. We shall see though.
  15. https://www.fox32chicago.com/news/white-sox-game-shooting-cps-teacher-denies-bringing-gun-into-ballpark?mibextid=Zxz2cZ Season ticket holder denies bringing gun in game.
  16. Nah there's far worse stuff to this than the manager.
  17. Waivers aren't public. I guarantee Grandal is there.
  18. You can assume he's on waivers too.
  19. Does the buyout still hit if the Sox agree to the mutual option and Clevinger doesnt?
  20. I'm sure they tried. Be interesting to see if he gets claimed here.
  21. As for Giolito, claim him and find something in the CBA that still makes him Qualifying Offer-Elgibile as a result.
