  2. QUOTE (mr_genius @ Nov 5, 2008 -> 02:00 AM) FOX calls Ohio for Obama officially over Did you make that up?
  3. Rangers don't want Laird anymore. Great arm, decent bat, why not. He'd just have to be the back-up.
  4. QUOTE (Shadows @ Nov 4, 2008 -> 07:15 AM) No we cant cut this crap Of course statistically the average Wii owner is older than the others because I don't think it goes down on the purchase as a 10 year old bought the system. That's not how research works... QUOTE (Shadows @ Nov 4, 2008 -> 07:15 AM) Im sure there are plenty of people who own both systems just because most gamers are like that. Doesn't change the fact that I think its for little kids and the more enjoyable games to me are on the other platforms. Just because you are a Nintendo fanboy doesn't mean im gonna change my mind about what I think of the Wii. If you like the Wii, more power to you I already said that I liked a few games on it. I'm just saying it's an extremely flawed and downright wrong opinion then, given that the Wii has single handily changed the industry by attracting an astounding amount of older gamers. If you enjoy games on other systems better, fine, fair enough. Hardly makes the Wii for "11 year olds". But I guess that makes me a Nintendo fan boy, even though I've made it pretty clear the PS3 is my favorite console this generation.
  5. QUOTE (Shadows @ Nov 4, 2008 -> 03:11 AM) Wii is not as fun as people make it sound, its for little kids.. Can we cut it with this crap? There are plenty of older Wii owners on this board. Statistically the average Wii owner is older than the 360 owner and the Wii has more units within the 18-24 demographic than either PS3 of 360.
  6. I can't imagine there being a worse player in the NBA than Marc Gasol.
  7. QUOTE (Alpha Dog @ Nov 1, 2008 -> 06:46 PM) What group? Republican Jewish Coalition
  8. QUOTE (knightni @ Oct 31, 2008 -> 01:55 AM) he's not powerful enough to be a full time 3B. Can we stop being under the assumption that someone has to have certain hitting traits to play a position? Heck, even if you are a believer in that, I beg you to make the exception for the White Sox. We have well above to above average power at nearly every position. Believe me, we will survive if we don't have power at 3rd base. Although I am not on the bandwagon to make Inge on 3rd baseman, believe me.
  9. I know this site was once known as EdwinJacksontalk.com, but after 3 years(2 as being a starter) of below averagness, I figured that would have changed. Speaking of Jackson, does anyone know what his former partner in crime Greg Miller is doing these days? I don't think he ever made it to the majors.
  10. QUOTE (Kenny Hates Prospects @ Oct 30, 2008 -> 10:50 PM) I'd be willing to offer Dye and Jenks in a package if the Rays would be willing to part with one of Edwin Jackson/Jeff Niemann, one of Jake McGee/Wade Davis, and Eduardo Morlan. I'd hope we would get more.
  11. I can't imagine us offering either of them.
  12. Blu Ray is the format used by PS3 and probably PS4 too. So no.
  13. QUOTE (chisoxt @ Oct 29, 2008 -> 12:29 AM) Per Jim Margulus' Sox Machine Blog from yesterday..."He (Figgins) saw a sizable increase in walks (62 from 51, plus three HBPs), but managed a Jerry Owens-like 16 extra-base hits over 520 plate appearances. Nothing wrong with that.
  14. QUOTE (Flash Tizzle @ Oct 28, 2008 -> 11:59 PM) Another random thought that came into my mind is, what if these aliens (if they're out there) aren't even on our size scale? We seem to assume this, but what if they're practically microscopic; or are large as a building? I'm no biologist, but why are we always looking for water in regards to alien life? Is water really the universal building block of life outside of Earth? I doubt we could possibly know that. And "aliens" always seem to have two arms/feet and are more or less a weird version of us. What are the chances that there is a universal life structure? As for the government holding information, NASA has been sued multiple occasions for withholding such information about the Kecksburg UFO sighting. I do find that interesting. They still won't give up anything.
  15. QUOTE (knightni @ Oct 28, 2008 -> 11:33 PM) The negative: he tries too hard sometimes and pulls the ball for power too much, i.e. White Sox baseball. That is a huge negative then. I cannot imagine that getting fixed here.
  16. Oh, they just brought the show back last week. Wonder how it will work without Stack.
  17. QUOTE (Brian @ Oct 28, 2008 -> 10:22 PM) Anyone else used to watch "Unsolved Mysteries" when it was on NBC back in the day with Robert Stack, and be so freaked out by some stories? If a freaky one came on I would be scared for the whole day. Heck, even the lighter ones scared the crap out of me with the eerie music and Robert Stack narrating in fog.
  18. I'll never forget him throwing out Cuddyer.
  19. QUOTE (knightni @ Oct 26, 2008 -> 05:40 AM) Think about it. If you're traveling in space, you don't need lights. The Space Shuttle has no major lights: http://overworm.com/NothingToSeeHere/NTSH%...ightLanding.jpg Lights are meant for landing, not for flying around aimlessly, alerting your presence to an alien world. Planes have lights to fly around in the sky...Shuttles don't because they are immediately put into a landing position and the lights are on the ground.
  20. QUOTE (MurcieOne @ Oct 24, 2008 -> 06:43 PM) either III or IV and thought they were pretty horrible That would make sense. You would have to see both for them to make a lick of sense. Saw isn't the type of series you can jump into, which is kind of unique for a horror movie series.
  21. QUOTE (chisoxt @ Oct 25, 2008 -> 12:40 AM) And for God's sake people, look at Figgin's stats and tell me that he is a good player! A third baseman that drove in all of 22 runs! What is wrong with our line-up is that we think we need 80 RBI guys at every position. That'd be nice, but balance would be much, much easier to attain. Chone kills about a million birds with one stone: -Plays 3B, 2B, and CF. Fittingly our 3 positions of need. -Adds mega speed to the slowest team in baseball -Can bat first and put up a .365 OBP(!!!) I don't know how you can say he isn't a good player. He could single handily fix our offense if everyone else returned.
  22. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Oct 24, 2008 -> 02:49 AM) Minnie is going to be pissed. They'll unretire it for Chone who is all that is man.
  23. QUOTE (scenario @ Oct 24, 2008 -> 02:43 AM) I believe that Kenny has at least one, possible 2 blockbuster deals that he will participate in; one that I am not at liberty to discuss at this point and a couple others that I can only guess at. I just ordered my Chone Figgins #9 jersey.
