Possible 3 team deal could make sense with a frame like: Mets- Kluber Brewers- Thor Indians- Hiura, Ray, Woodruff

Doesn’t take much to see that Yolmer won’t be a starter going forward. Hahn’s comments about Yoan are pretty obvious.

I'm sure those Mariners fans have never had the pleasure of watching Omar try to catch a pitch below the knees.

So if the Sox do sign Nelson Cruz, what do they do with Palka?

Just finished listening....if Hahn was being honest, then guys like Nelson Cruz aren’t on the radar. It’s always an interesting dynamic when it’s Chuck and McGuffey or Chuck and Vinnie Duber. Chuck and Guff always think they’re going to be aggressive and Duber is the exact opposite (not that he does a bad job).

He already said that they’re going outside the organization.

Familia would seem to be the heavy favorite. Ottavino seems destined for NYY

Considering the Cubs just signed Kareem Hunt to replace Terence Gore, I don’t believe they care about domestic violence

Not if we sign Harper

I've followed Grandal for a lot of his career, including his draft eligible season as Sox were rumored to be in on him. He drives me absolutely crazy. Very frustrating to watch bat, as he goes into insanely bad slumps. He's also a liability vs LHP.

that would be a lot of bad money

And trading for the rights to Kyler Murray

winning helps build the fan base, not just adding Machado and then a bunch of garbage. I don't think accelerating the rebuild is about the TV deal, it's about the organization showing promise. 2018 was pretty much a worst case scenario all around

Or they think bringing in numerous veterans for shorter deals is more effective than giving Manny/Bryce the largest deals ever?

What if they go after all the Plan B guys and sign Brantley/Cruz/Grandal/Happ/Familia?

I'll miss Avi. A team that has their players sell out for power like Toronto should go after him.

couldn't disagree more...he clearly proved he has sources during 2016.

The more I think about it, the more I think Grandal on a 4-year deal is possible if they internally don't have faith in Collins.

Man do I love that at bat by Gore in the Wild Card game

I think it's more that if they don't tender Avi like most assume, they've opened up a ton of at bats today

I don't think he is hinting at anything specifically, as he wrote a blog post in the last hour and didn't reference anything. In my opinion, he's just connecting the dots.

I assume we hear about Avi in the next 20 minutes, as Hahn has a conference call at 3:30

I could see Arizona bringing him back to play some 1st base if they trade Goldy.

this is a move that makes me think they're going to be active bringing in veterans the next few weeks.

this officially makes Colome their best reliever
