To be honest, Hawk is more a face of the franchise than Ozzie ever was. As much as he can get on our nerves, I'm happy with him coming back. He was pretty good this year.

So it definitely seems like they held out Konerko so he could remain above .300. No problem with that, just happy he was able to stay at the level and not have to chase this last series.

I went to a Marlins game in 2007, and their "Great Moments in Marlins History" video they showed between innings was Mordecai's double off of Fansworth to blow that game wide open. I guarantee I was more excited to see that video than the 50 Marlins fans at the game.
