  1. QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ Sep 28, 2010 -> 01:31 AM) Anyone regret that deal yet? Orton looks pretty good in Denver...just wondering here. Seriously, this crap again? No offense jester, but one INT and this talk starts again?
  2. Briggs missing a lot of tackles/assignments tonight.
  3. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Sep 28, 2010 -> 02:21 AM) I am really cocnerned about Buerhle and his drop off. 12-12 and in this game has given up 8 hits and not through 5 yet. Yep, he's definitely making more money than his performance dictates he deserves.
  4. Bowman, please pick your game up tonight.
  5. Jeez, Cutler lost his head that series. First, he tried an absolutely ridiculous block that he would have dislocated his shoulder if he landed. Then, he overthrew the receiver by 15 yards.
  6. Matthews must have mistaken Cutler's helmet for a bottle of HGH.
  7. Way too easy for green Bay. Not a good defensive series for Urlacher and Briggs.
  8. Should have gone for the 4th and 2 there. Hate to see such a good drive get you no points and give Packers good field position.
  9. QUOTE (South Side Fireworks Man @ Sep 28, 2010 -> 01:46 AM) Maybe the players feel safe now that they know Ozzie is coming back so they think they don't have to hustle anymore. Anyway on Manny's play, I didn't think it was that big of a deal. The ball was hit right to the scond baseman with Manny being on first base. I thought Stone's comment was unecessary. At least Manny ripped a single. The ball was hit to the first baseman, who turned a 3-6 DP with the tag at 2nd. Manny would have been safe if he was running even 75% speed.

Anyone ever hear an update on how Floyd's meeting with Dr. Yocum went? Hopefully no news is good news.
  11. Turned on Sox game to see one play, and it was a pathetic excuse for hustling by Manny. If Ozzie had any balls, he'd pull Manny. I really enjoyed Stone's quip of "at least Manny hustled".
  12. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 28, 2010 -> 12:28 AM) Good god, I have to hear that crap from Cubs fans, now here too? What, it was an honest question and not complaining about attendance tonight or anything else. I asked the same question back on the Stanley Cup final night as well. I couldn't imagine how anyone in Chicago would watch the Sox over the Bears tonight, that's all.
  13. It would be really nice if Buehrle is the one we're able to trade, and not Danks this offseason.
  14. Does anyone actually expect this to get better next year with Ozzie's extension/future with Sox in even more of the spotlight? For everyone involved, it's time for Ozzie to leave the Sox.

  16. You have to wonder how low the TV ratings will be tonight for the Sox game? Easily lower than the game the Sox played on the night the Hawks won the Stanley Cup.
  17. QUOTE (Swingandalongonetoleft @ Sep 27, 2010 -> 10:03 PM) Score reporting that Ozzie met with Kenny and Jerry seperately, and he's saying he will be returning next year. Hopefully this s***show is behind us. Well, that's disappointing

Eastbound and Down off to a slow start, but it started off slow last season as well.
  19. Jeez Ozzie, stop pitching Thornton multiple innings! His fastball is down a few mph this inning, and last time that happened, not only did he get rocked, but he was hurt as well.
  20. Morel really seems lost against offspeed pitches. With his lack of power, he's going to have to learn to hit outside pitches to right field.
  21. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 26, 2010 -> 07:52 PM) Yeah...the problem with the Cubs would be that there isn't a whole bushel of talent. I look forward to seeing Ozzie play for one run in an inning when the wind is blowing out 30 mph at Wrigley.
  22. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 26, 2010 -> 08:48 PM) I love the way you guys think Ozzie is a buffoon. You don't think he's going to win and win big wherever he goes if the team has talent? He's no buffoon. Don't most managers win if the team they're managing has talent?
  23. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Sep 26, 2010 -> 08:46 PM) Geo Soto would be hitting 7th and Tyler Colvin would be platooning with Mark Kotsay for the bulk of the year Is it true that Mark Kotsay said he doesn't think he'll be returning to the Sox next season? Saw this on WSI, but there was no source/link.
  24. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Sep 26, 2010 -> 07:42 PM) Hell, i'd love to see the Cubs as managed by Guillen. You put that kind of lineup in his hands, without the kind of pitching staff that he's been working with here, you have a consistent 75 win team. I'd love to see Starlin Castro have 50 sacrifice bunts next season.
  25. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 26, 2010 -> 06:29 PM) Did you miss the month of June? I was there for 3 of those games, and swear the loudest the crowd got was during the wave.
