Marcum looks like he's throwing an invisible baseball. I've never seen so many swings and misses.

QUOTE (daa84 @ May 2, 2008 -> 11:53 PM) uhhhh that looked pretty clearly inside...i hope mark takes advantage of a big inside strikezone Dye can't keep his feet still on his swing since he returned from the injury. Absolutely pathetic!

One of these days, Thome's going to figure out that he's struggling cause he's pulling off every f***ing pitch.

Anyone in Chicago really care what Duane Ward has to say?

QUOTE (frankie5angels @ May 3, 2008 -> 12:44 AM) What's the ove-under onhow many pitches Marcum needs to get through next inning. I am setting the line at 11.5 1 pitch groundout to 3rd base by OC, 7 pitch walk to Thome, and 4 pitch double play by Dye. 12

QUOTE (daa84 @ May 3, 2008 -> 12:42 AM) i never want to be no hit....ever...even if it is exciting At least the game will go very fast then. Of course, I'd rather the Sox just win.

Over/under 10 runs for Sox this series? With a sinker baller tomorrow, Halladay on Sunday, I think it's possible we don't get into double digits.

QUOTE (frankie5angels @ May 3, 2008 -> 12:41 AM) What a sparkplug Swisher is. Wait, so you're saying we won't face Dontrelle Willis every game, and he can walk 3 times a game?

I'm excited to see a no hitter tonight. If we're going to lose, at least let it be something that demonstrates how horrible this offense is.

I would love if someone could find OC's hit chart from last year with the Angels to compare how many hits he had last year to the opposite field compared to this season.

The Tigers scored 5 runs against Marcum in 5.2 innings.

QUOTE (CWSOX45 @ May 3, 2008 -> 12:38 AM) Greg Walker sucks....this team sucks...and I have the flu on top of it. What a fantastic day it has been so far. Go Cardinals

Holy cow, this is sad. We look absolutely hopeless.

Cy Marcum being promoted already in the 3rd inning by Hawk. Any chance we get no hit tonight?

QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ May 2, 2008 -> 11:33 PM) Ozzie in the pregame said he didn't like the body language that they are starting to hang their heads. Isn't it his freaking job to get them motivated? I guess he's the only manager/coach in sports who's not responsible for getting his players prepared and motivated to play.

QUOTE (CWSOX45 @ May 2, 2008 -> 11:30 PM) I'm going to say this and this only.....fire Greg Walker. I can't take this anymore. How does he still have a job when a team hits .280 in 2006, and then hits .246 for 2007, and now are hitting .241. That's horrible. Fire him Kenny. I just pray they fire all 3 of the buffoons if this team tanks this season.

QUOTE (daa84 @ May 3, 2008 -> 12:28 AM) i hate mlbtv...it always has so many problems...though it looks as if maybe i dont want to be watching this game Marcum is throwing slower than I've ever seen him, as he's around 84 mph on the gun. However, our hitters are missing his pitches by a foot. When they do hit it, they're popping it straight up. On the other hand, the Blue Jays are just lining Buehrle's pitches all over the field.
-
5/2 - SOX @ TOR, 6:07 CT, CSN
Sox just aren't very good. I wonder what Buehrle's ERA would be if you include the unearned runs?

Your first place Chicago White Sox!
QUOTE (almagest @ May 2, 2008 -> 03:11 PM) They're gonna have to get and stay pretty hot to dig themselves out of that hole. Sweeping the Yanks is a good start, though. I still think they'll have a hard time maintaining a long winning streak because of their pitching. The Tigers are going to win the AL Central by 10 games. The only team even close to them is the Indians, especially if C.C. picks it up. The Sox, Twins, and Royals will be in the 70-80 win range.

QUOTE (Frankensteiner @ May 2, 2008 -> 11:26 PM) I think that's basically game right there. I don't see this team scoring 3 runs off Marcum today. Slow and low with everything. We know how this team sucks against a pitcher like that.

BTW, that's 5 errors on Joe Crede. That's on pace for about 30 this season.

Negative Catch All ~ House of Blues
Ozzie letting Buehrle pitch to Stewart in the first inning was one of the worst managerial decisions I've ever seen. It's the closest I've seen Hawk come to criticizing the idiot.
-
5/2 - SOX @ TOR, 6:07 CT, CSN
Why in the f*** would you challenge Stewart, especially inside with Buehrle's horrible fastball? Considering Overbay is brutal against Buehrle, Ozzie should be ridiculed for that decision. What a terrible manager.
