Do they not throw hanging sliders in Japan? Iguchi always swings and misses those pitches.

QUOTE(S720 @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 03:30 AM) Fathom: Would you take Wickman or Bobby Jenks? Wickman for now....obviously Jenks for the future.

QUOTE(winninguglyin83 @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 03:30 AM) don't watch sports center don't watch baseball tonight don't check espn.com don't read the papers don't do it. i'm serious Why? Some people take Sox bashing in the media way too seriously. They deserve every criticism that people will give them.

QUOTE(S720 @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 03:27 AM) Before this season begins, did anyone of you think that the Sox would be 2.5 games leading the division with 2 weeks left in the season? Would anyone of you take that situation? Let's see who's right, shall we? This game is not for the faint hearted!!! I used to say things along those lines when the Sox had like a 8 or 10 game lead. This has gone from a dangerous situation to full out collapse mode.

How can Hawk say that was a good pitch? He threw a pitch not even close to the zone. A solid hitter would have taken it, and been up 3-1 in the count.

QUOTE(maggsmaggs @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 03:27 AM) if this fat tub of goo shuts us out, we should boycott the Sox. Why? He's shown more balls than our closers lately.

QUOTE(greg775 @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 03:24 AM) When Everett hit that home run, it should have been the end of the Tribe's magical run. We win and hold them off. Instead the Tribe has come to Chicago and stuck it up our ass. Amazing. And that's what makes the Indians so f***ing awesome lately. They never think they're out of the game.

QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 03:22 AM) Why is this happening?????? There will be some books written about this team, don't worry. BTW, I've been hearing a lot of people mention it as "The Southside Collapse"

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 03:21 AM) 2 out walks. 2 out walks. f***ing bases on balls. Just throw the ball down the heart of the plate. I don't care if they kill the ball. Just please don't walk them. Give your defense a chance to do something. We have been murdered tonight because of 2 walks. Unlike the White Sox, if you throw a meatball to the Indians, they're going to hammer the ball.

QUOTE(sircaffey @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 03:20 AM) Tonight...This team is finished. Making the playoffs would be by default thanks to a fluke first half. This team hasn't earned a playoff spot in my mind. This team is ridiculous at the worst time to be so... And I only hope we can get rid of Ozzie! I'm not blaming tonight's loss on him, but I just don't think he has the slightest f***ing clue what he's doing out there. To continually use Marte instead of Cotts is just f***ing ridiculous. I feel bad for Cliff Politte, who for some reason was passed over.

It's time to send Hermanson to the glue factory. Shut him down for the rest of the season, cause he just can't get guys out now.

I would let Crede hit, and have Gload bat for Pods.

QUOTE(greg775 @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 03:16 AM) Not to be a front runner, but at what point do the fans boo our boys off the field? I guess we all have to keep the faith; it was a pretty damn good game. On Thursday night, if we haven't won a game on this home stand, when we're getting no hit by Johan in the 5th.

QUOTE(greg775 @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 03:15 AM) To be this horses*** at home in big games is amazing the last 6 weeks. Ever since Contreras allowed that grand slam to Aramis Ramirez in the first inning of the Cubs game.

QUOTE(maggsmaggs @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 03:14 AM) If there is one consolation, this was the hardest game of the series for us. Buerhle and Garland against Westbrook and Elarton are easier than ERA leader Millwood versus s***-pitcher Freddy Garcia. THERE'S NO MORE f***ING CONSOLATION GAMES!!! Haven't we conceeded enough games when we faced Johan...or the great Wade Miller....or Barry Zito!

QUOTE(ChiSox_Sonix @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 03:13 AM) Theres a lot of baseball left but i have this terrible feeling that this game is signaling the division for Cleveland Don't worry....the Yankees have Bubba Crosby to come up with clutch hits for them.

QUOTE(maggsmaggs @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 03:13 AM) We are performing one of the worst choke jobs in sports history. "We"? f*** that, the White Sox and their whole organization are. "We", the Sox fans, have nothing to do with this.

QUOTE(sircaffey @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 03:13 AM) He's down 0-2...thanks to Ozzie....Did that make his job easier. Dye does NOT BUNT EVER. His success hitting it to the right side is MUCH MUCH MUCH better than getting a bunt down. His whole career backs that up...Jesus Ozzie... And it's exactly the same thing that happened to Dye previous this season. If Ozzie wanted the bunt, he should have put in Willie Harris. Will someone please tell Ozzie he has an extended bench?

WE SUCK!!! If we lose this game, we don't deserve to make the playoffs. I hope we ship off Ozzie, KW, and Walker.

Boone can turn around a 99 mph fastball, but we're way behind Howry's fastball?

What a horses*** AB. Thankfully, our fearless leader have him give up the first strike by asking him to bunt, something that has been unsuccessful with Dye about 5 times this season.
