  1. QUOTE(winninguglyin83 @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 01:16 AM) the sharp objects have been taken away from me for 10 days bridges are also off limits No offense, I know you're joking, but some people need to get a grip around here. If anything, the last 50 games or so should show you that this team was never nearly as good as the record suggests. I guarantee you that there will be another Sox team in the next 5 years that is much better than this season's team.
  2. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 01:16 AM) I guess it's Garcia or bust tonite Not the first time "Garcia" and "bust" have been used in the same sentence lately.
  3. QUOTE(SoxPhan7 @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 01:13 AM) dammit! At least we are making good contact if that counts for anything Nope. The point of the game is to SCORE!
  4. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 01:10 AM) When is the last time anyone on our team hit a home run? Doesn't this happen every year to the Sox? Once the games mean anything, we have warning track power.
  5. The Sox offense is magical....at making a leadoff run seem like such a non issue.
  6. QUOTE(maggsmaggs @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 01:08 AM) The Indians players are having fun playing, we are playing tight with something up our asses. It's been that way for two months now. I got blasted for saying this, but Indians fans must be having a great time right now.
  7. Sit down your overrated choker.
  8. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 01:07 AM) It's amazing observing the contrast between these two clubs. They're simultaneously aggressive and patient. It's as if they have an understanding of which pitches to hit in certain counts. Rarely do they waste AB's, and even outs are hard hit. Indians came in here determined. We wet ourself thus far. Their best players also have terrific line drive swings.
  9. QUOTE(3E8 @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 01:05 AM) How did Millwood get his ERA under 3 in the AL? He has some amazing numbers with RISP, especially with the bases loaded.
  10. Why can't Hawk just shut the f*** up?
  11. QUOTE(maggsmaggs @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 01:03 AM) Why pitch Viz against the Indians, he throw so many balls with that slider and the Indians are a very patient team. Baj is a guy they haven't seen before and at least he will go right after them and pitch them inside. You must have not been watching Ozzie manage for the last two years if you think he'd go to Bajo before a veteran.
  12. QUOTE(WSoxMatt @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 01:03 AM) 6 of those 10 wins were by a scant 1 run!!! And most of them were on days where it was definitely pitching weather. Remember that start in Cleveland where Garcia would have allowed 10 homers if not for the wind blowing in? He had similar stuff to what he has tonight.
  13. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 01:01 AM) This division is the Indians' to win. There's not a doubt in my mind the wild card is our best friend now.
  14. Good play by Crede on another hanger by Garcia.
  15. Question: Does anyone on here think we're a better team than the Indians?
  16. Lucky that wasn't a gapper. Ozzie should pull Garcia now while this game is still a possible comeback.
  17. Garcia was defeated before he even walked onto the field tonight. I know personal attacks aren't allowed, but maybe we should look to trade Garcia and his amazing work ethic, and build with our two home grown aces.
  18. Bless this crowd, as they're getting extremely restless.
  19. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 12:56 AM) The man on the bump tonight is physically incapable of pitching inside and pitching there effectively. He did it once this year. Wrigley Field. And that was because the wind was howling in.
  20. That should have been strike 3. This umpire doesn't seem to have the balls to call strike 3.
  21. QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 12:51 AM) yeah, that 1-hitter in minny was a laugher That's one start out of a string of subpar performances from someone who's paid a lot of money to be our ace.
  22. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 12:50 AM) And Boston has tied TB 4-4. :banghead Seriously, does this surprise anyone? These teams have great lineups and have shown a sense of urgency lately.
  23. Garcia's going to get himself booed off the field tonight.
  24. QUOTE(WSoxMatt @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 12:47 AM) 1B ARod 2-1 Os Bags loaded 0 out That's about to be a Yankees lead. It must be nice to have the offense to comeback so quickly from a deficit. I bet H. Matsui isn't getting caught stealing.
  25. QUOTE(qwerty @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 12:46 AM) Rowand is not a three hole hitter. We don't really have a bonafide three hole hitter. We have a clean-up/ five hole hitter in konerko. And one could argue the lack of a three hole hitter is what's hurt our offense the most this year.
