QUOTE(whitesoxin' @ Oct 19, 2005 -> 09:30 PM) So does B-Mac get to be with the team in the dugout? Or does he have to sit at home? I know Frank has been with the team, so why shouldn't Brandon be there? He'll be in the dugout as he has been for the ALDS and the ALCS.

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Oct 19, 2005 -> 09:21 PM) What hotel are you and Caruso staying at? The bastard got a restraining order, I don't know what I did, a little love never hurt anyone. If he thinks some piece of paper is gonna stop me from showing him the depths of my love then he's got another thing commin'.

I refuse to put my marker on my house. Too many people around here who might want me out of the picture.

A: How did you feel about Contreras before the All-Star Break? I thought he was a guy with great stuff that just had to get his s*** together, he had some great outings but I was still nervous as hell everytime he went out there because there was a 50/50 chance he could implode. His start at Wrigley proved to me that he was going to turn it around. B: Do you think the Sox will view Contreras as a valuable part of the team after the season is over? Yes, the guy started game 1 of the ALDS, games 1 and 5 of the ALCS and more than likely will start game 1 of the World Series with a possibilty that he could start three games in the series. He'll be in our starting rotation next year and will get much respect. C: Do you think Contreras will be trade bait after the season is over? No. Not unless Kenny recieves an outlandish offer that he just can't reject. D: Do you want Contreras to be trade bait after the season? Nope. This team could easily go back to the WS next year. And a rotation of Contreras-Buehrle-Garcia-Garland-McCarthy is the best in baseball. E: Do you feel that Contreras could sustain this type of success, or do you think Cooper has caught the proverbial "Lightning in a bottle"? I think this is the true Jose Contreras, this is the way he pitched in Cuba, Coop and Duke have gotten him into a state of mind that he's comfortable in, I truely believe this is the way he will pitch here on out. F: Did you think that Contreras was worth his contract when he was acquired? $6M a year for a guy with his stuff wasn't bad, $8M for the Contreras we had pitching at the tail end of last year is a f***ing ripoff though. G: Do you think that Contreras is worth his contract now? Just curious. I have heard various things around the site for the past few months about contreras, and I wondered where everyone stood right now. I thought it could make for a good conversation. Absof***inglutely, $6M for a pitcher of his caliber is a bargain.

QUOTE(maggsmaggs @ Oct 19, 2005 -> 08:20 PM) Crede is by far the best at it when it comes to homers. When he knows its gone, he puts his head down and runs the bases. Uribe is good about it, if he really gets into one he'll finish with his hands in the air but that is it. When he hits one out he runs his ass off around the bases.

QUOTE(SoxAce @ Oct 19, 2005 -> 08:16 PM) Did any sox fans here get pissed when our fellow sox player Carlos Lee did it? Just wondering. Yes, and I've said it numerous times including last year. It was the last straw when he did it and the ball hit off the wall in left.

And Garland went on to shut them down for the rest of the night. Another case of why showing up the oponent only hurts your team. I can't stand it when they stand at the f***ing plate watching their homeruns, it's one of the worst things about baseball.

QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Oct 19, 2005 -> 07:50 PM) He is such an overated pitcher... has some nasty stuff but he has no clue how to use it and supposedly is a cancer in the clubhouse too. He did get sent home near the end of the year. Appearantly the players love him (he's the clubhouse jokester) but him and McKeon never got along.

QUOTE(WSoxMatt @ Oct 19, 2005 -> 07:47 PM) Id like to see Billy Pierce!!! He already threw one out, it'd be f***ing stupid to have him do it again. -
QUOTE(The Critic @ Oct 19, 2005 -> 07:53 PM) Maybe I do take it too seriously, but I just don't find her interesting, funny, or entertaining. And for her to make some "grand proclamation" that just this once she'll say White Sox instead of the oh-so-clever b**** Sox just smacks of self-important attention-starvation. Ooooooh, anonymous Internet troll, thank you for the momentary respect.... OK, so she's not anonymous anymore, since a couple media outlets did blurbs on her, but still.... That's the part that gets me. So I'm supposed to care that she's going to call them the White Sox for once? Why? Who the f*** is she? She makes her self out to be something that she's not.

QUOTE(The Critic @ Oct 19, 2005 -> 02:35 PM) There's a thread on here somewhere about her. And I'll say it again: f*** her and her 3rd place team. she acts like it's some kind of high honor that she controlled her stupid "insult" for 5 seconds after the Sox slapped her team around. I'm in the same mindset as you. f*** her, I don't give a s*** if her writing is smart, witty and funny, I don't have to appreciate it for those reasons. She wants to call them the b****sox good for her why the f*** should I applaud her? She can have fun watching her s*** team fall even further next year.

QUOTE(DePloderer @ Oct 19, 2005 -> 07:19 PM) I started out trying to give the effect of a 1940's movie poster with the main picture and title. But seemed to lose the old time feel when it came to all the other lettering. Ah well..... Makes sense.

QUOTE(DePloderer @ Oct 19, 2005 -> 06:58 PM) Ah ha now I understand. So how about this; Much better colors, though the effect on the Freddy pic doesn't seem to fit the scheme of the wallpaper.

My favorite baseball player, I've only heard and seen good things out of him since he joined the Organization. I got a jersey of his last year, I'm proud to wear that sucker.

Note the disgusting colors of the Green Bay Packers. A piece of s*** american football team.

Good move for the Marlins. Girardi will be a hell of a manager, he looked like he'd been coaching for years when you saw him sitting in the Yankee dugout next to Torre.
