  1. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Oct 17, 2005 -> 11:09 PM) The most surprising part of that game for me was when they showed the time for game 1 of the series and they had the White Sox symbol on the right side. All I could think was, "Wow, Sox are in the series." That homer by Pujols...it seemed secondary. I'm already starting to get nervous. This is just remarkable, I don't really know how to act.
  2. Seriously, did anyone NOT expect Pujols to hit a home run in that situation? It was just setup too perfectly.
  3. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Oct 17, 2005 -> 10:52 PM) Pujols' homer was crushed. It bounced off the railroad tracks way high up there on a hard line. I don't think you're grasping the concept.
  4. QUOTE(Antonio Osuna @ Oct 17, 2005 -> 10:50 PM) Astros in 7, please. I don't want to face Pujols. Pujols is one man The Cards are old and injured, the 'stros are young and hungry with a killer big three in that pitching staff. If the Cards do end comming back and winning this thing in 7 it could give them a s***load of momentum comming into Saturday's game. I'm hoping for 7 games, it's kind of a tossup as to who I would rather play.
  5. Albert Pujols is the closest thing we have right now to a baseball god. I love watching this guy play, there is noone in baseball I would rather watch. Not to mention the fact that Pujols is a standup guy.

QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Oct 17, 2005 -> 03:26 PM) The craziest thing is that you could make a huge case for Crede to be the MVP. Who the hell would have ever seen that being possible? Anyone who believes in the power of the Rally Crede would have expected Crede to come up huge in the ALCS.

QUOTE(whitesoxin' @ Oct 17, 2005 -> 02:57 PM) Because it's illegal and IMHO idiotic. All it does is ruin relationships, get you in trouble, and give you a hangover. I drank in high school and I have great relationships, I have gotten in trouble but nothing serious enough to haunt me and a little Pedialyte will take care of that hangover. Just remember: Always drink responsibly.

QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Oct 17, 2005 -> 03:10 PM) Was he the ALDS MVP 2? There is no ALDS MVP.
  9. QUOTE(Brettwurst @ Oct 17, 2005 -> 02:59 PM) Regarding question No. 2, the Chicago Tribune store can be reached at 312-222-3080. Copies are $10 apiece and delivery is 2-4 weeks. I did not copy down the address, sorry. That's f***ing highway robbery. $10 for a trib. GMAFB.

    QUOTE(Steff @ Oct 17, 2005 -> 01:15 PM) Probably not a good idea to use it then.. I know I wouldn't.

QUOTE(Steff @ Oct 17, 2005 -> 01:06 PM) MLB owns it, correct? This is very true.

    Rooney's Call
  14. I really have nothing to say. w00t
  15. Santanio Holmes is by far the superior reciever between the two. Avant would have to be about the 8th best WR in the '06 draft as of right now. Chad Jackson, Florida Santonio Holmes, Ohio State Derek Hagan, Arizona State Demetrius Williams, Oregon Martin Nance, Miami of Ohio Hank Baskett, New Mexico Travis Wilson I would put those 7 recievers ahead of Avant in terms of NFL quality talent.
  16. Edinger is a pretty good indoor kicker but when he's out in the elements he becomes mediocre.
  17. QUOTE(YASNY @ Oct 16, 2005 -> 06:45 PM) Let me guess. The best manager in the AL is Terry Francona. Red Sox fans generally hate Terry Francona.
  18. I don't think people know that Konerko is only 29, mainly because he runs like a 40 year old. No way in hell does he only have 2 years left in him, he's settleing into his prime right now. And when did the White Sox become "Bad Boys"?
  19. QUOTE(3E8 @ Oct 15, 2005 -> 05:00 PM) Mine is even more ghetto. I just took a picture of the Sox logo on my hat and made it the background. It works well, and it's free.

I don't give a s*** what any of you say, I know I'm dreaming and I really, really, really don't want to wake up.
  21. QUOTE(SpringfieldFan @ Oct 15, 2005 -> 09:21 AM) If the Sox were to make it to the WS and possibly even win it, Frank not in the lineup will remind me of Sweetness not having a chance to score a touchdown in the 1985 Super Bowl. Except it's completely different. Payton was the starting RB for the Super Bowl where as Frank is hurt and not even on the playoff roster.
  22. Once again... LMFAO
  23. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Oct 12, 2005 -> 07:25 PM) Is Hideki Matsui a free agent. I heard on the radio that he was, but wasn't sure. If he is, I think he'd make an oustanding DH. He's a left handed bat whose a clutch hitter. I'd give him a 2 or 3 yr deal worth 18 mill (don't know if that would be enough or not). Plus he could play all 3 outfield positions in a pinch. I'd hope that the Iguchi factor could help as well. Kind of. If he does not sign a contract extension or a new contract by Nov. 15, 2005, then the NYY must place him on waivers for the purpose of granting him his release- + if he were to clear waivers he would become a free agent Agent
