  1. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Oct 17, 2005 -> 03:26 PM) The craziest thing is that you could make a huge case for Crede to be the MVP. Who the hell would have ever seen that being possible? Anyone who believes in the power of the Rally Crede would have expected Crede to come up huge in the ALCS.

    QUOTE(whitesoxin' @ Oct 17, 2005 -> 02:57 PM) Because it's illegal and IMHO idiotic. All it does is ruin relationships, get you in trouble, and give you a hangover. I drank in high school and I have great relationships, I have gotten in trouble but nothing serious enough to haunt me and a little Pedialyte will take care of that hangover. Just remember: Always drink responsibly.
  3. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Oct 17, 2005 -> 03:10 PM) Was he the ALDS MVP 2? There is no ALDS MVP.
  4. QUOTE(Brettwurst @ Oct 17, 2005 -> 02:59 PM) Regarding question No. 2, the Chicago Tribune store can be reached at 312-222-3080. Copies are $10 apiece and delivery is 2-4 weeks. I did not copy down the address, sorry. That's f***ing highway robbery. $10 for a trib. GMAFB.

    QUOTE(AnthraxFan93 @ Oct 17, 2005 -> 12:47 PM) It our own little veriosn of Giants win the penant..back in '54 Oct. 3rd, 1951
  8. Santanio Holmes is by far the superior reciever between the two. Avant would have to be about the 8th best WR in the '06 draft as of right now. Chad Jackson, Florida Santonio Holmes, Ohio State Derek Hagan, Arizona State Demetrius Williams, Oregon Martin Nance, Miami of Ohio Hank Baskett, New Mexico Travis Wilson I would put those 7 recievers ahead of Avant in terms of NFL quality talent.
  9. Edinger is a pretty good indoor kicker but when he's out in the elements he becomes mediocre.
  10. QUOTE(YASNY @ Oct 16, 2005 -> 06:45 PM) Let me guess. The best manager in the AL is Terry Francona. Red Sox fans generally hate Terry Francona.
  11. I don't think people know that Konerko is only 29, mainly because he runs like a 40 year old. No way in hell does he only have 2 years left in him, he's settleing into his prime right now. And when did the White Sox become "Bad Boys"?
  12. QUOTE(3E8 @ Oct 15, 2005 -> 05:00 PM) Mine is even more ghetto. I just took a picture of the Sox logo on my hat and made it the background. It works well, and it's free.

    oh my god

    I don't give a s*** what any of you say, I know I'm dreaming and I really, really, really don't want to wake up.
  14. QUOTE(SpringfieldFan @ Oct 15, 2005 -> 09:21 AM) If the Sox were to make it to the WS and possibly even win it, Frank not in the lineup will remind me of Sweetness not having a chance to score a touchdown in the 1985 Super Bowl. Except it's completely different. Payton was the starting RB for the Super Bowl where as Frank is hurt and not even on the playoff roster.
  15. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Oct 12, 2005 -> 07:25 PM) Is Hideki Matsui a free agent. I heard on the radio that he was, but wasn't sure. If he is, I think he'd make an oustanding DH. He's a left handed bat whose a clutch hitter. I'd give him a 2 or 3 yr deal worth 18 mill (don't know if that would be enough or not). Plus he could play all 3 outfield positions in a pinch. I'd hope that the Iguchi factor could help as well. Kind of. If he does not sign a contract extension or a new contract by Nov. 15, 2005, then the NYY must place him on waivers for the purpose of granting him his release- + if he were to clear waivers he would become a free agent Agent
  16. QUOTE(SoxRock192 @ Oct 12, 2005 -> 06:23 AM) They lost, sucks Why the f*** would you bump this thread?
  17. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Oct 11, 2005 -> 05:05 PM) ARow has also been one of our best clutch hitters this year. I'd ended up have voting for Pods, Dye, or Everett in that category. His RISP/RISP w/2out numbers have been great all season long and he finished with some damn good numbers. RISP: .290/.366/.433 RISP w/ 2 out: .354/.417/.508 ...and he finished the year 3-6 with 8 RBI w/ the bases loaded, since he was 3-24, 10 RBI comming into the season.
  18. QUOTE(forrestg @ Oct 11, 2005 -> 05:00 PM) I think kw and Ozzie picked catchers who could call the best games . I have no complaint about widger or aj hitting. Widger hit a great home run off off of was it Zito. MY only complaint is throwing men out stealing bases . They are not so goof what about 20%. this could be better Just look at the guys they have to catch for, Contreras is probably the worst pitcher in baseaball at holding guys on, Freddy is right up there with him as is El Duque. Buehrle is one of the best at holding guys at first so people don't even bother trying to steal off Buehrle, so that gives them less oppurtunities. AJ and Chris may not be all that great at throwing people out but they get absolutely no help from 3 of the 5 guys they caught on a regular basis during the season.
  19. I love Pujols. I love Oswalt. I am indifferent when it comes to the two teams in general. I am indifferent when it comes to Astros fans. I hate Cardinals fans. Therefore I guess I want the Astros to win.
