Is Marte assured off the ALCS Roster?
Doesn't a lefty lose all effectiveness when can no longer get lefties out? Our righties are more than capable of getting left handed hitters out at a higher clip than Damaso currently can. I don't really give a s*** what arm he throws with, he can't get anyone out especially lefties, this team goes against all logic, our righties are better at getting left handed hitters out than our lefties are.

QUOTE(greg775 @ Oct 7, 2005 -> 10:53 PM) Can we beat the Angels? IMHO, we can beat anyone.

Is Marte assured off the ALCS Roster?
QUOTE(whitesoxmanager @ Oct 7, 2005 -> 10:43 PM) we know that yankee stadium has a short porch in right and that the more lefties coming out of the pen the better.....? then again i would rather see Bmac on the squad at this point. Right now with the Angels up 11-7 in the bottom of the 8th inning in game 3 of this series, I'm assuming they're going to win this game. That would put them up 2 games to 1 with which means they'd have 2 games to win 1. At this point, I think there's a damn good chance we see the Angels in the first round.

Johnny Damon's classless postgame comments
I'm pretty sure most people don't go to Red Sox games to see Johnny Damon play, singles/doubles and the occasional stolen base aren't exactly crowd pleasing.

Giambi - Comeback player of the year..
QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Oct 7, 2005 -> 04:24 PM) she said there wouldn't be a link. Well she was wrong. Look get over it. It was in 2000. My god. Give credit to Giambi for having a great year and move on. If somebody on the sox got caught using steroids than you would be so quick to defend him. Bulls***, if a player on the White Sox went down the way that Giambi went down, I would want his cheating ass off the team just as a lot of Yankees fans did with Giambi. I refuse to support anyone who would do something like that.

When and Time???
Tues for sure. I'd say 7:00 @ the Cell. On Fox.

whoever gave that link to the bosox forum
QUOTE(SoxRock192 @ Oct 7, 2005 -> 08:16 PM) Oh, but that looks like the Cell The cell doesn't have a bullpen built into the warning track down the right field line like that stadium does. Plus the Cell's dirt is darker.

Pics for sigs
Just some great pictures from the celebration. Some better than the AL Central clinching celebration.

EAT SHIT CHRIS BERMAN!!!!!!!!!!
"And the Red Sox dream of repeating as World Series Champions is over." It really should have been a call for a White Sox winner but no, he calls it as a Red Sox loser. I would have appreciated an unbiased announcer for this series but ESPN doesn't give a s*** now do they?

QUOTE(heavyduty @ Oct 7, 2005 -> 07:43 PM) Don't know if any of you guys saw this post over there, but I thought it was pretty cool. "On a side note -- I worked today's game. One of the classiest things I've ever seen -- the White Sox bullpen coach out in right field just after their batting practice was done. That guy handed out balls to the youngest of kids, signed autograph after autograph for anyone who asked, posed for pictures and even put little kids on his shoulder and backed up to the grass so their parents could snap a shot of them. I asked a White Sox fan who he was and they explained it was their bullpen catcher, Man Soo Lee and that he does that at every home game...signing autographs for everyone that asks. Classy guy and, when their team was introduced there was an ovation from the right field stands when Lee was announced. So, if it can't be for my beloved boys (oh, how I wanted to be in the park for more excitement), then I'm rooting for the White Sox. Go Sox! " Just another great Man Soo Lee story, the man is unbelievable.

Los Angeles @ Chicago - ALCS Game 1
QUOTE(ChWRoCk2 @ Oct 7, 2005 -> 07:36 PM) who cares who we throw, all of our guys have stepped it up, garland has been our best all year hell im excited hes pitchin Except Contreras has been our best pitcher for the past 2 months and is our best pitcher right now. You have to go with the hot hand for game one. You give him a chance to pitch twice in the series.

El Duque as set up man...
QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Oct 7, 2005 -> 07:24 PM) He's being smart about a typo you made on the title; I fixed it for you. He's called him "el duce" about 50 times.

Chicago @ Boston - ALDS Game 3
QUOTE(maggsmaggs @ Oct 7, 2005 -> 02:10 PM) On MLB.com, they said the wind is 18 mph. That isn't good when facing a knuckler, at least no Tek today. The wind doesn't really blow much on the field at Fenway, all wind is obstruted so it usually doesn't have a big affect on Wakefield's knuckleball at home. ...and if the wind is blowing in from CF with a knuckleballer on the mound, that bodes very well for the opposition, though I doubt the wind will be a huge factor today.

QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Oct 7, 2005 -> 01:29 PM) Any word on whether Carl will move back to the 3-hole today? Dye has bad numbers against wakefield. Glad to see Hickey was throwing knucklers during BP yesterday, that helped the Yankees last weekend. Dye is in the 3 hole today, don't fix somethin' that ain't broke. 1. S Podsednik, LF .290 2. QUOTE(RibbieRubarb @ Oct 7, 2005 -> 10:37 AM) I saw on Comcast that the Sox were taking Knuckleball Batting practice on Thursday. They didn't say who was throwing, though. It may have been Frank Thomas or Bobby Jenks. Frank appearantly throws a wicked knuckleball and Jenks' knuckleball is like 80 MPH.
