my cousin is gay and the thing is that if you walked up to him on the street you would have no idea that he is gay. The problem is that there is this gay stereotype around which couldn't be farther from the truth. My cousin is a huge Yankee fan (lives in New York), is a lawyer, and doesn't even live in the gay part of New York. Yet because he is gay people just assume he talks with a lisp, wears dresses, and sleeps with little boys. And that is not the case at all. In fact he was married for 5 years before he came out. I have a great time hanging out with my cousin. I am personally not gay however if people want to be gay let them be gay.
It's not uncommon to have a gay relative anymore. That's just the way it is nowadays. Like I said, I don't have a problem with gays, but it's the people's choice on whether to come or not, and if being gay is the reason, no matter how pathetic of an excuse a reason is, so be it.
