  1. Is groin the TV word for your balls? I thought it was a muscle in the upper, inner thigh?
  2. If his knee is still screwed up, his looses a ton of loot right? Wouldn't the Tigers be all over trying to find out if it's the knee? How would he cover it up?
  3. QUOTE(SuperSteve @ Apr 21, 2005 -> 03:32 PM) I don't know how to say what I mean. When I have children, I would like to raise them in an environment which is the best for them. Recently in the State News (Michigan State's student newspaper), they had an article about a retired couple who had been foster parents, and decided to adopt the child they had been fostering and his sister (5 and 4 years old respectively). The parents are white, and the children are black. The family moved to a nearby city where they felt it was more racially diverse. I mean like that, I don't know about making it illegal and all that, I was just saying even if it was legal, I could see many families moving to a more accepting area. I totally understood what you meant.
  4. QUOTE(SuperSteve @ Apr 21, 2005 -> 03:23 PM) It's Texas guys...just wait until they start executing them ( I am still torn on gay parents. Seems like Rosie has been great for gay people, as she seems like a fit parent. I do not know enough to have an informed opinion. If the two love each other, and are fit parents, why shouldn't they be parents. I would think gay parents would want to live in a part of the country where homosexuality is more accepted. If I was gay, I wouldn't want to raise the children where it would be an issue either. JMHO. I see your point, but for them to move would mean they are being persecuted in a way.
  5. Great discussion everyone. I've often heard that a child needs both a mother and father figure in their life. I know many, many kids grow up with just one, but that doesn't make it an ideal situation. Is there anything that a father brings to a relationship with his kids that a mother could not bring simply because she is female and a mother? Is there anything that a mother brings to a relationship with her kids that father could not bring simply because he is male and father?
  6. Steve Smith is sooo staged, you know they all go out and slam beers afterward.
  7. I will be in SD from June 10-14 to catch the 3 Sox games out there on Fri, Sat and Sun. Last night, I was looking at all the MLB schedules and noticed that the Dodgers are at home vs. the Twins on that Sunday and the Angels are at home against Washington on that Monday night. All three cities are within two hours or less from one another. I've never been to any of the three parks. My flight is already booked in and out of SD, but I have not bought any game tix yet. Would you: A. Do the Fri. and Sat. Sox games in SD, the Sunday game in LA and the Monday game in Ana.? OR B. All 3 Sox games in SD and stay there the whole time?
  8. QUOTE(Gldfinger5 @ Apr 20, 2005 -> 08:25 PM) Anybody know if they are having it this year? No, no they are not.
  9. QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ Apr 20, 2005 -> 07:49 PM) I couldn't even get through it....terrible...although I learned we are the 'b**** Sox'...real clever. yep, that's as far as I got too.
  10. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Apr 20, 2005 -> 07:05 PM) Nothing between the Bases in the lower bowl is 1/2 price. Walk up VIP tix are.
  11. QUOTE(EvilJester99 @ Apr 20, 2005 -> 06:53 PM) Those commercials are hilarious!! Esp. the one with that chic asking her man if those pants make her look fat... The funny thing is, in those situations, you BOTH know your bulls***ting her, it's so twisted, lol.
  12. QUOTE(Steff @ Apr 20, 2005 -> 06:35 PM) I thought the title read Mariah Carey... Me too and she kinda looks like her, I think that's the goal. Some of them use a name similar to a real star.
  13. Can someone explain the diff. between looking fat and actually being fat? I think if you're fat, you're fat in everything. Now you might look fat-TER in certain things.
  14. QUOTE(EvilJester99 @ Apr 20, 2005 -> 06:24 PM) LMAO While that would be hilarious, you would have to brace for death or the fact that you'd better sleep with one eye open.... Oh, at that point I'd just run into traffic.
  15. QUOTE(EvilJester99 @ Apr 20, 2005 -> 05:39 PM) Its always safer in that situation to either lie or say what she wants to hear.... .....or: 'Do these jeans make me look fat?' 'No, honey, it's your big ass that makes you look fat".
  16. Um, it's a strip club right? Basically, they want the club run out of town.
  17. QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ Apr 20, 2005 -> 05:45 PM) He didn't put his mouth around it...he tossed in his mouth. Yep, I looked at it again, plus if he already had booze on his face, it just ignited.
  18. NO way! How would that happen? I've seen people do that a million times. When you put your mouth around it, you kill all the oxygen, it would go out immediately, NO?
  19. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Apr 20, 2005 -> 05:22 PM) I think you are wrong. The reason that Shingo was getting guys to chase pitches is because he was throwing his breaking ball for strikes last year. This year there is sideways break on his fribee instead of dropping into the zone. He needs to throw all his pitches for strikes, and then they will chase it out of the zone. Right now they are all waiting on his fastball, which is the only pitch that is going for a strike. Good points, I think he'll come around, nothing sounds like a huge prob.......so far. I like that Ozzie is yanking him when he is.
  20. QUOTE(orangekrush88 @ Apr 19, 2005 -> 06:56 PM) Does anybody else lisen to this garbage, My god, I want to reach into my radio and strangle north to death. And the stpid ass broad with North, what in the hell is she even doing there! The only sane person who keeps me listening is Fred. I just had to bring it up, does anyone else share these feelings? North is tabloid radio, don't let him bother you, you're feedong right into it. Turn the dial to WBBM 780 news.
  21. How does Shingo fix the problem? IIRC, last year, he was getting hitters to chase pitches out of the zone. This year, they seem to be taking more of those pitches and forcing him to throw strikes, when he does, they are making better contact. I also noticed the Twins hitters seem to be timing the frisbee a little bit better, what do you guys see?
  22. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Apr 20, 2005 -> 02:33 PM) Isn't the Pepsi deal for upper deck tickets only? I was at the game last night, and at the start there looked to be about 5000 in the stands. It got reasonably full, and the upper deck had a higher proportion than usual. Its still April. Even the Cubs have tickets available this time of year. Wait until school is out, and the weather can be count on. If the team is doing as well as it is now, it will be sold out. Thx for the info. I was wondering how full the UD was last night with the promotion and all.
  23. QUOTE(Steff @ Apr 20, 2005 -> 02:30 PM) I would guess yes for the Cubs since they offered them for single games. No idea on the others. Possibly the Yanks.. I would say very likely for Boston also. And now that I'm thinking about it.. I bet they sold most if not all of them for the LA series. See, now for some of THOSE games, $170.00 is actually a steal, if you're looking for great seats. A broker, or scalper is gonna want a LOT more than that. I bet those have been long gone though.
  24. Steff, do you happem to know if they've sold out the scout seats for any game so far this year? I'd assume Sox-Cubs is sold, any others??
  25. QUOTE(IndplsSoxFan @ Apr 20, 2005 -> 02:11 PM) The full priced ticket is a gurantee that you will be in that seat. Otherwise you don't know if you'll be buying a s***ty seat or a great seat. That's the difference with the premiem price tag. I understand that, but like I said in my example, the same is true of being a season ticket holder. As a season ticket holder, you're guaranteed that seat. On a half price night, the guy next to you might have paid half price. Just curious, how do they reward the upgrade at other parks, like Miller?
