  1. See an extra base hit with a runner in scoring position. Why is that so hard.? Yoan !!!
  2. Ok33 he's still a catcher coming off an injury and you are moving the goalposts. We were talking about his recent performance not how badly he sucked before he was IL'd. If my take was so bad how come Stone said the exact same thing about finding your stroke 1st and then the HR's come. I guess his take was terrible too. The Sox have 1 double in Coors Field so far and hit into multiple DP's. ANyone actually getting a hit with runners in scoring position would be great and God forbid anyone gets a double or hits a HR with people in scoring position and the 1 run the Sox got was on a DP ball that was booted.
  3. Lol yea and complaining about how a 35 yr old catcher runs or because he's hitting .500 in his last 20 ABs is a great take. What a maroon ! If anyone else could hit a HR on this team there would be no problems.
  4. If everyone had as many hits as Yas does in their last 20 AB's we wouldnt have trouble scoring. Yaz is a 35 year old catcher on bad knees and trying to find his stroke. If you have no patience for that and can't accept the singles possibly proceed finding the HR stroke you know nothing about baseball at all.
  5. LOl there's Pearl clutching on everything. Yas finally hitting and now it's all about he isn't hitting HR's and he's slow.
  6. So he subscribed to the Menechino school of hitting lowered his hard hit rate and K's , hits less HRS now. Happ is coming here lol !
  7. Sure they can extend it but who will be missing from the team in that extended time ? Who will be the starting 5 besides Kopech and Cease? Giolito is gone after 2023. Lynn likely gone also after 2023 unless they pick up his option when he's nearing 37. Will Eloy and Moncada be earning their money? Abreu might finally start showing his age by then. Cueto gone after this year. Then there's the mystery Robert illness to contend with. I mean that can end in less than a week but what if it doesn't ? We're supposed to be at the height of our window right now and we have a club full of DH's ,under performers and guys who cant stay on the field, and playing .500 ball.
  8. He has to make an impact very quickly because the window is closing very quickly if we aren't seeing the end of it right now already.
  9. if you think he can become as nearly good as Reynolds or better you don't trade him. Just not sure how likely that is . He'd have to make an impact very quickly. That means the Sox fast track him through the minors based on 100AB sample sizes if they are very good at AA and AAA and then he has to just be better than what they already have next year. It's not a high bar to clear but the steps along the way to get to that point are bound to have some glitches. Just a 20 AB slump will have people freaking out about him.
  10. I assume you're talking about this one: The Chicago White Sox acquire OF Ian Happ from the Chicago Cubs for P Jared Kelley, OF Oscar Colas, and P Norge Vera Yea that one sucks !
  11. It's ok I don't expect Hahn to trade Montgomery or Colas. He'll likely work around the fringes as usual if they do anything at all. Quintana, Naquin and a relief pitcher and we all should just enjoy the mediocrity going forward for the next 7 years. But we'll still have Montgomery and Colas during our mediocrity. And don't get me wrong I love those 2 guys but if they are surrounded by a bunch of crap it doesn't do the Sox much good. I guess we're stuck hoping Pollock ,Moncada, Giolito and Lynn and Eloy all can stay healthy and have much better 2nd halves and win enough games to win the division while Minnesota and other teams make better moves.
