It's earlier than I thought but in no way is it idiotic. Hitting in Colorado against Rockies pitching seems well thought out. It's just another safe reason for people who need to be right,more reasons to feel good about themselves based on other people's failures. If he does poorly, like most prospects, they get to feel vindicated . See it was stupid. No, it's what happens with most prospects. If he has a good series in Colorado the whiners can safely claim small sample size and lick their chops with his 1st 0 for 10 with 6 Ks. It's as if they want him to fail. Too much good press. It's like with Vargas since he's cooled down. The safe play is to say you don't believe in him because you don't really believe in anything Sox related. He's got to get his sea legs against MLB pitching to continue the progress that was made by the Fuller Fix. He's by no means a finished prospect but you were going to eat an option this year anyway. Might as well give Montgomery, Baldwin, Teel, Quero, Meidroth, Vargas ,Sosa and possibly Elko too all up here growing together.

You'll excuse me if I don't buy in to your crystal ball. I asked a simple question just a minute ago is Eisert was pitching 1 or more innings and no one ventured even a guess. Most here are afraid to be wrong even on a softball question. Eisert not known for multiple innings outings. Has been a 1 inning opener before. But they 'll tell you when someone is a bust secure with the knowledge that most prospects never reach the lofty expectations of fans and even if they end up succeeding they won't get called out on it. Maybe there's not enough people in the game thread . But I stand by my conclusions. Slater !!!

I thought of responding and would've said something similar. I suppose you could look at his body of MLB ABs and say May was the outlier but there's spot between his May and June that you can hope he'd settle into. You'll never know if you don't give these young guys a real chance to establish themselves. The Sox aren't trading Vargas unless that get a really good non pitching return. Sox fans rushing in to predict prospect doom but then scream play the kids just so they can scream more about how the prospects are busts as quick as they can.

17 yr old Yorbal Rodriquez pitched 4 no hit innings in a 1 -0 DSL White Sox loss. This season he's pitched 18.2 innings without an earned run 17 K and 0.38 WHIP. That's noteworthy on any level .

I do check out box score just to familiarize myself with some of the name since we hear about them signing them it's pretty quiet until they actually play. So even though I probably won't comment much on DSL and ACL games I do appreciate the quick and easy access to the box scores. 🙂

Oh it started off great and Vasil talks up a storm.Ive seen him talking to Garfein too on one of the CHSN podcasts. They dug into a bit of the behind the scenes with biomechanics or other related R & D stuff. WSD tried to get Teel or any of the others to admit the Sox were behind the times with that stuff in comparison to the other organizations they were briefly with but none of them said anything negative.

The Asstros had a little international guy they signed for 10K that no one else wanted . Hello Jose Altuve. They also got a power hitting LH LF from the Dodgers, Yordan Alvarez for relief pitcher Josh Fields. A Cuban who the Sox missed on somehow . So maybe Steven Wilson could get the Sox a stud . Astros also drafted Springer, Correa, Tucker Bregman and Jeremy Pena under completely different drafting rules for rebuilding teams. I think they took pitcher Brady Aiken 1st overall in 2014 but somehow ended up with Bregman as compensation the next year with the 2nd overall pick because Aiken was damaged goods. Mark Apple was another pitcher taken 1- 1 by the Astros who bombed but got traded for Ken Giles who was a key relief pitcher during the 2017 World Series win. So basically the Astros said screw drafting pitchers we'll trade for the one we already know is a stud. So they fleeced the Tigers for Verlander. But they did manage to get Keuchel and McCullers in the draft too .

Future Sox has always been a sanctuary from the s%*# talking that goes on in Pale Hose Talk. I don't know when that was established or by who but it is a thing .Ask any long time resident here. There is precedent around here to keep overly negative comments away from the Future Sox section. Just because you feel you are in the majority and have the backing of mods who are just as down on the organization as you are, doesn't mean you can flaunt long standing rules of decorum. And yes kick a guy while he's down . A small sample size of poor performance of whoever posted that small sample size of 3 hits in last 29 ABs that prompted your he's a bum stuff . You said he was a bust I'm saying he won't be thats all. We might not know the final results for 5 years. Looks like I was right Friday, Sat. and Sunday are all their highest win totals and best win percentages. 4-7 Thursday might be a better win percentage than 5-9 Sat and Sunday unless your stats didn't count the last 2 days.

That's on an 0-2 count .If it goes to 1-2 it's another stat.

This post was kind of for nothing. He's got 2 option years left on his contract but those can be bought out by whoever has him at the end of the season and he'll be a FA next year. No one will pick up that 1st option which effectively ends the 2nd option too since the only way to reach the 2nd option is for someone to pay him $20M next year which isn't going to happen barring some miraculous monster HR filled 2nd half and playoffs heroics. The Sox will pay down some of what remains of this years $15M which should be somewhere around $7M depending on the date they trade him. Most likely a bit under $7M so maybe the Sox pay off $3-3.5M. (If he doesn't have some major pull that'll keep him out for a month.)
