4/27 Sox vs. Angels - Rain delay theater - 9:40PM start
He was fine until that last start . Came into that game with a low 2 ERA and finish it at 5.57 or whatever it is now. 8 runs and hung out to dry to save some BP arms will do that in the early season.

4/26 White Sox vs Nationals
You mean the guy who ran around the bases backwards for his 100th career HR ? Piersall sounded like a few guys here always talking about he was critical because he had higher standards. He didnt like 1 handed catches of fly balls. He was fired for being too critical of players by the Sox in the booth and for the same reason coaching the Cubs. His higher standards included being ejected from a game in 1960 for running around in the OF waving his arms trying to distract Ted Williams. And that was Williams last season as a player.

Munemania: AL Rookie of the Month of May
Not sure if the Sox make an effort to extend him butIm thinking JR wants the coffers to fill up a bit before they think about trading him. Lets say attendance goes up a decent amount from last year as does some advertising revenue and merchandising that can be directly tied to Murakami's presence and they made an extra $5+M , I think next years trade deadline is liklier. Would it suck ? Oh yea but unless you have a lot of willingness from MM to sign an extension I dont trust JR to offer enough and I have zero reason to believe Ishbia wants to act like the owner before he becomes the owner . JR could live as long as Virginia McCaskey. I havent exactly heard anything about putting a new person besides Brooks Boyer in charge of courting revenues from high profile Japanese Companies. Until I do hear that the Sox do know what they are doing in that regard I'll just guess the possible sponsors need a longer contract to Mune and more people in the ballpark and more watching on TV to make a bigger commitment monetarily . I need to be up to speed.

LUIS ROBERT TRADED
Trade didnt suck.Robert hasnt been 2023 Robert in a long time & it's likely that was his outlier season. Hasnt been worth $20M for over 2 years. When this year is over he'll make money appropriate to his stats, not as much on potential.

Munemania: AL Rookie of the Month of May
You don't have to be an exact copy of the guy to be comped. Both big strong LHP power hitters who walk and K a lot and play 1st base was enough for me back on Jan. 1. Remember Mune also won a batting title in Japan. He could hit above . 250. He's still working it all out. He was at .242 just yesterday. Schwarber was in case he did become the 3 true outcome guy. Nailed the walks, K's and HRs wasnt sure if the hit tool would carry over. Not too shabby back on Jan 1st considering we have been hearing Schwarbers name brought up a lot since Mune really took off in the last week.

4/26 White Sox vs Nationals
Right that was my point .I mean if you want to hate on the guy and do the whole Queen of Hearts thing or your best Dennis Green impersonation because he's not producing ok fine, not my style ,but whatever but is it really that lean that people find offensive or have we missed something ? That's some ticky tacky 1970's old school reason to call someone a hotdog.

Munemania: AL Rookie of the Month of May
I was reading the Mune stuff again and I comped him to Thome or Schwarber back on Jan 1. Dont know if it was the 1st time I said it . April 13 Sosa traded, April 15th Antonacci brought up.

4/26 White Sox vs Nationals
Where does the hotdog stuff come from ? I keep seeing it. Is it because he catches flyballs leaning to his left and it looks a bit different ? I havent seen anything overtly hotdoggish.

4/26 White Sox vs Nationals
It's that weird bad timing stat coming into play again. When the pitching staff does well the hitters suck and when the hitters do well the pitching sucks. That's been problematic at home. It's just a disappointing series to come home and lay a bunch of goose eggs in front of a combined 60K people the last 2 days coming off an encouraging road trip.

Like the Blackhawks in OT.

4/26 White Sox vs Nationals
Also no Hays, Teel or Baldwin and Sosa traded. Thats probably around 50 HR's out of the lineup .

About your post not about the Sox. Your timeline is not likely to come true and you dont need to win 100 to make the playoffs.

4/22 Games
Maybe but I think they'll wait until next year if they have to on Hagen. Its sure not written in stong though. Just taking my best guess based on whatIve seen and heard. He could always improve enough for them to trust him to start this year. Lets go Sox .Need runs ! Sucks to lay an egg when you have a big crowd waiting to bust loose !

4/22 Games
Any time Ive heard anyone talk about Hagen or Tanner it's that they want to keep them on a starters schedule. That could change in the 2nd half of the season perhaps if they can improve command.
