The Sox were done scoring by the 3rd inning. It was just a matter of could the BP hold onto the lead. Lots of big clutch hits in the Sox 5 run second inning. Burke walked the bases loaded w/ no outs in the 2nd. But pitched out of it with no runs with a K and a nice DP turned by Colson. The Sox followed that up with the 5 run inning. Back before they changed the rules that pitchers have to pitch to 3 batters to speed up the game. The only reason we saw it tonight was Taylor only faced 1 guy because of injury.

Glad Burke settled down after he walked the bases full and got out of it unscathed except for pitch count . After 4 inings it's at a not too bad 59 pitches despite the 4 walks and 3 hits. Seems like he's throwing a lot of strikes to the guys he's getting out. 37 of the 59 pitches have been strikes. 5 K's.
