I can't remember the years they all got their extensions but 2019 was regularly regarded as a bouncier ball that traveled farther with many players including Moncada having career year. It's always something odd that throws off Sox plans that looking back you say they should have taken the bouncy ball data a little more seriously. It was like everybody was playing on steroids or in Colorado. I bet the Colorado home stats were outrageously juicy in 2019.

You know there's a decent amount of women pocadters on barely watched Sox podcasts on YouTube run by Brett Balantini. Sox Populi I think one of them is called. It took him a while to get his thoughts out and he clearly was uncomfortable or socially awkward .

That question is irrelevant because it's 2025 and there are new people doing the coaching now and new players. You can't go back in time and say let's now let Walt Hriniak teach them or let's use Ryan Fuller and modern R & D on them. Elko is in the minors now but Baldwin has decent upside like a young Benintendi but can play more positions with a little more repetition . Doesn't have the pedigree of Benintendi but they might have similar power.

Noda got about 1/2 the ABs Elko did. -3 bWar for both. Gets on base more because he walks more. K rate for Noda might be worse as are several other offensive categories for a guy who faces mostly RHP as a LHH compared to Elko who mostly faced RHP as a RHH. So the Sox actually got worse offensively except for a little better OBP trading in Elko for Noda offensively . It's was just Getz throwing spaghetti at a wall to see if it stuck. It didn't.

It's earlier than I thought but in no way is it idiotic. Hitting in Colorado against Rockies pitching seems well thought out. It's just another safe reason for people who need to be right,more reasons to feel good about themselves based on other people's failures. If he does poorly, like most prospects, they get to feel vindicated . See it was stupid. No, it's what happens with most prospects. If he has a good series in Colorado the whiners can safely claim small sample size and lick their chops with his 1st 0 for 10 with 6 Ks. It's as if they want him to fail. Too much good press. It's like with Vargas since he's cooled down. The safe play is to say you don't believe in him because you don't really believe in anything Sox related. He's got to get his sea legs against MLB pitching to continue the progress that was made by the Fuller Fix. He's by no means a finished prospect but you were going to eat an option this year anyway. Might as well give Montgomery, Baldwin, Teel, Quero, Meidroth, Vargas ,Sosa and possibly Elko too all up here growing together.

You'll excuse me if I don't buy in to your crystal ball. I asked a simple question just a minute ago is Eisert was pitching 1 or more innings and no one ventured even a guess. Most here are afraid to be wrong even on a softball question. Eisert not known for multiple innings outings. Has been a 1 inning opener before. But they 'll tell you when someone is a bust secure with the knowledge that most prospects never reach the lofty expectations of fans and even if they end up succeeding they won't get called out on it. Maybe there's not enough people in the game thread . But I stand by my conclusions. Slater !!!

I thought of responding and would've said something similar. I suppose you could look at his body of MLB ABs and say May was the outlier but there's spot between his May and June that you can hope he'd settle into. You'll never know if you don't give these young guys a real chance to establish themselves. The Sox aren't trading Vargas unless that get a really good non pitching return. Sox fans rushing in to predict prospect doom but then scream play the kids just so they can scream more about how the prospects are busts as quick as they can.

17 yr old Yorbal Rodriquez pitched 4 no hit innings in a 1 -0 DSL White Sox loss. This season he's pitched 18.2 innings without an earned run 17 K and 0.38 WHIP. That's noteworthy on any level .

I do check out box score just to familiarize myself with some of the name since we hear about them signing them it's pretty quiet until they actually play. So even though I probably won't comment much on DSL and ACL games I do appreciate the quick and easy access to the box scores. 🙂

Oh it started off great and Vasil talks up a storm.Ive seen him talking to Garfein too on one of the CHSN podcasts. They dug into a bit of the behind the scenes with biomechanics or other related R & D stuff. WSD tried to get Teel or any of the others to admit the Sox were behind the times with that stuff in comparison to the other organizations they were briefly with but none of them said anything negative.

For those with the MLB app on your smart TV. Tonight's game is the free game of the day. Might be blacked out though in Chicago and here in L.A. Seems strange that in the markets most likely to watch it they black it out .

It isnt . Players know what goes on in baseball. You hang on as long as you can get a decent paycheck. It sure beats anything the real world will pay you after you retire or no one finally wants you.
