  1. Ahh great more ammo for Will to call more bunts.
  2. At home too where the Sox come back often. It's like he wants to lose.
  3. It's like he's doing it in spite of repeated failures to prove it can be done effectively in today's baseball and he's committed to making it work. Where's the flexibility ?
  4. Saw Meidroth trotting approaching 2nd base on the bloop hit that Peters hit down the LF line that brought him home with 2 outs a few days ago. He's lucky that bloop got by the LF or he wouldn't have scored.
  5. Come on Venable the count is 2-0 against a guy you have the L-R advantage and throwing junk.
  6. They play better at home. Doesn't guarantee a win against a team with an incredible record but I like our chances.
  7. I remember that '88 Gibson HR like it was yesterday.
  8. I'm pretty sure it was supposed to be like this. Most of it was planned to talk about the 80's and 83 White Sox team.
  9. That Braden Montgomery 1st career hit was a carbon copy of Jacob Gonzalez's 1st career hit.
  10. Might as well just say it now. Braden and Gonzalez hit a HR tonight or one of them hit's 2.
  11. New MLB rule anti World Series Rule. Has nothing to do with the White Sox at all, no siree bob !
  12. Good timing by Road To The Rate podcast by Connor McKnight. released 3 hrs ago.
  13. Maybe because he's fairly new at making contact hitting the outside in zone pitches and he's grounding them to the right side but enough of them are going through. Not a finished product by any means but then again plenty of young guys develop in the bigs. Antonacci has learned on the fly fly. Hitting better than in the WBC . Peters has grown. Colson picked up a torpedo bat and hasn't looked back. Plenty of guys struggle too. Some times it means too early sometimes you don't really know for sure. Kelenic has got a lot of chance. Does he keep failing because he was brought up early the 1st time or he just can't make whatever adjustment is needed ? Vargas adjusted , did what it took 1st with the stance then the bat speed and extra muscle to help the new stance work even better. Started being more selective. Plenty of concerns about Murakami too from the experts in the game. Then when you make it people find reasons to say it won't last. Hopefully our guys have more staying power this time around.
  14. Damn give everyone a chance without putting up any money 🤣
  15. Had Covid and a lock out for the 1st one too didn't we ? Astros and Cubs beat it all and we got the new anti tank rules about draft choices too.
  16. What kind of stuff ? He gave his reasons why he didn't think he would succeed right away. I gave mine why I think he will. Why is it so bad to ask him how long adjusting will take since he said he'll need time longer than right away ? I never claim to be able to predict the future with stats I just do it based on very minor things and gut. I'm going out on a limb so with his knowledge he should too. It's very ambiguous what he said. Why do you feel the need to get involved ?
  17. We don't even know if Pereira can offer more than Pereira. Maybe Pereira did have setback and it prompted Braden's arrival. Might be sick of waiting on Hays and Pereira .
  18. I wouldn't but I'm just like that. But even though his GB and K rates are high, he's hitting the ball hard, taking walks and some of those hard hit GB are going through the infield. Plus he's getting to pitches on the outside half now much better than he was. Being on the safe side would be saying you expect him not to succeed right away. But just to clarify, how much time until you think he adjusts ? Right away seems like a very short period (like 1 day ) unless you define it as some reasonable length before you think "right away" will be over .
  19. Apparently the answer to the title question is TODAY !!!😮
  20. The voting for the upcoming home stand is about to take a leap! Its at 10% now. Before the All-Star break is at 19%. Technically right if true just not as pinpoint as this homestand. I was on record as saying some time in June. If this is true as it likely is.
  21. They could send Romo down unless he's out of options. But he was DFA'd earlier this year and wasn't claimed so I have no idea if they'd have to do it again or his options status changes. Michael Turner is 27 left handed and hitting very well (.337 BA & .988 OPS in 26 games) in Charlotte but would need a 40 man spot . Not sure of defense but the movement on pitches at the MLB level makes a lot guys with good defensive reputations in the minors look bad in the majors until they learn their pitchers.
  22. Kelenic, Lamont Wade, Jr. and Oliver Dunn are already gone and anyone else from the AAA roster beside top pitching prospects (maybe) could be moved also as could plenty of names from below AAA . Makes more sense to say all but perhaps 15 guys in the minors could be traded. Which 15 I could only guess at. Not sure who the biggest name on your list would be , maybe Gabe Davis or Boston Smith atm.
