The right play is if it dont think you have to come off the bag you don't especially on a low throw. Youre liable to have the runner fly right by you or break your hand, wrist or arm as it reaches among the legs flying by. He couldve just come off the base to field it and the run scores anyway. he did what any 1st baseman does in that situation, he tried to stretch enough to keep his foot on the bag but he couldnt .Vargas will probably be saying it's his fault after the game.

My problem with bullying is that even though it's on a very small scale on a message board its indicative of group think on a much larger scale in society. The more you ignore it the bigger problem it becomes. People get caught up in the frenzy of being on the popular side knowing the security of their power position. I'm a fly buzzing around their head. Those on the popular side equate it to being right and those who speak up are major annoyances and outcasts . Im like the White Sox fighting that uphill battle.
