  1. I do more know about baseball and saw no need to insult TLR for things that are so obviously not his fault. There's already a lot to criticize him for. But just for your sake right after the game was over I read the whole game thread . That takes time. Then I quoted as many posts as I could about taking Lynn out. Then I checked who pitched on what days and the upcoming schedule. Wrote it all down on a piece of paper so I could make a very long post to make it as clear as possible that Lynn was taken out for reasons that were not apparent to many. All that took at least an hour. So no not Bingo ! I am also in California so I don't get to see or hear post game comments on Chicago radio or TV. All I get to see is the game . Post game comments do show up sometimes on my MLB app an hour or 2 after the game. If people don't like being called out for making thoughtless comments maybe they should try thinking.
  2. And most fans with any baseball knowledge should realize that 5 starting pitchers in 3 days means either 2 pitchers who aren't in the rotation are going to have to start or 1 will (Kopech) plus one going on short rest, most likely Lynn.
  3. I gave you a thank you emoji !
  4. Actually I did not ever say he had to pitch Lynn on short rest. All I said was unless they want to pitch Lopez or someone else Lynn was the likely candidate ( over Keuchel) which should convince some people I was thinking on my own and had not heard the post game TLR comments. But yea using Lynn on short rest is not ideal. I can agree with that but also no one wants to see Lopez or Stiever starting either especially against the Indians. But Lynn does seem to be recovered just by looking at his pitch counts over his previous 3 starts before today. But it definitely is something to keep an eye on which I am sure they are doing.
  5. No you didn't you explained the reason. You didn't say oops my 2 posts calling TLR an idiot and saying it makes no sense were wrong.
  6. How else do i I make my point ? I didn't want to single out one person, so I picked all the comments who were clueless or the ones who had some thought other than it didn't make sense or TLR is stupid. Also i didn't copy and paste. That little + sign next to the quote let's you do multiple quotes so you can make one post to cover all of them. You should notice some of the quote were good ones and I made positives comments on them or left them alone.
  7. Just admit dude you were totally wrong in every way !
  8. So no one else ever calls out people who are so obviously wrong ? I mean seriously you have no leg to stand on.
  9. Nah I'm in California I don't get to hear the post game and that long post took a while to make because i had to check the schedule , who pitched , who was due to pitch the next games and see what date the the problems showed up. Once again clueless. You really should quit while you're behind and admit you jumped the gun otherwise you are the one picking the fight.
  10. I'm not looking for a fight . It just amazes me that so many of you would say it makes no sense and blame the Manager. It's like you know nothing about baseball. Let's just call it a teaching moment rather than picking a fight.
  11. Well duh for all of you who questioned it so severely . Some of us can actually think for ourselves. Do I hear any I am the idiot and not TLR ?
  12. Hallelujah !!! Someone get's it.
  13. see below see below see below see below Um that's precisely why they took him out. see below see below . Not knowing baseball would make you the dildo. Yes it does. See below. Making uninformed comments , see below. Yes there was. See below Hey one guy has a thought other than TLR is an idiot. Yeah except see below. Yes it does , he did the right thing . See below And once again see below. Pretty much ! And again another DH coming up is precisely why it makes sense. See below Um noo. See below Most of the comments fall into the Wtf is TLR doing category and only a few actually decided to think a little bit. It was less than a month ago that Lynn was put on the Il for a strained right trapezius which he needs to pitch effectively since he's RH In his last 3 games he has made 111, 109 and 104 pitches. Now look at our pitching schedule recently and upcoming. 5/24 Lynn 5/25 Giolito 5/26 Rodon 5/27 Cease 5/28 Rained out 5/29 DH Keuchel and Lynn 5/30 Giolito (every 5th day) 5/31 DH Rodon (every 5th day ) and ? Kopech ? 6/1 Cease (every 5th day ) 6/2 This is where we have a problem . For both Keuchel and Lynn this would be an every 4th day start. So one of them may be pitching on short rest unless the Sox want to give Lopez or someone else a start. The likely candidate is Lynn which would explain why he was taken out after 82 pitches. Also it could be his trapezius was acting up again. Please try to remember the manager has other things to think about besides the current game situation unlike most of you. 2 Double headers in 3 days tends to screw up your starting pitching rotation.
  14. Aged well. 2 batters later the Sox had 2 more.
  15. Jose, Lance, Moncada, Jake, Billy, Liam, Evan, Cody, Yasmani, Tim and all the rest who played both games ! It takes a team .
  16. Aren't these games sold separately ?
  17. Finally someone who makes sense !
  18. Happens every game thread .Why is Lamb ahead of Vaughn, why isn't Madrigal batting 2nd, why is Marshall ahead of Heuer. Then it all works out and there's silence from the TLR critics. That doesn't mean I'm carrying a pail for TLR it just means he does a lot right , not everything of course , we know that.
  19. So 5 games in 3 days starting tomorrow or 37 innings which is like 4 games +1 inning instead of 45 innings. Everybody got that ?
  20. I actually made a post about his "slump" in Caulfields thread about him right before tonight's game. But in a game thread a month ago ron883 was bragging about him being the No. 1 fan of Yermin and I told him I was , so he said that he would like an unbiased person to check our posts to see who was inquiry/posting/saying good things about him 1st . So I think SoxAce did and he determined it was me. It did not go over well with Ron (I think he had changed his name to Yearnin' or Squimin' at one point) but he asked for it.
  21. I like the sentiment I just don't know if this is supposed to be an early game thread for the 28th. Since the Sox won that job still belongs to @WhiteSoxFan1993
  22. I know I am one of those 2 though I am sure it is more than just 2.
  23. Don't Cease Get it , Get it !
  24. Stone mentioned something about him making an adjustment with how he stands in the batters box tonight.
  25. I watch him very closely. The league has adjusted to him. He's not seeing many good pitches at all. It's a lot of sliders off the plate then they bust him inside to see if he can get his bat around , curves down. The problem is he's not taking many pitches and has been behind a lot. If he continues to swing at junk that's all he will keep getting. He needs to trust his batting eye more and take some walks and let the pitchers come to him. He has one thing in common with Madrigal. They don't like to K. Both swing at a lot of crap. They need to learn it's ok to get aced on the corner and and get called out on strikes . Mercedes especially because he has power is allowing himself to become a singles hitter.I've hardly seen anything over the fat part of the plate to him in May. Despite all that he hasn't looked terrible. He just hasn't looked as good. His timing seems off. Fouls off a lot of pitches that he could be driving. It's a slump . Much of it is his doing . He has to make the adjustment back. That's the phase he's in now. Make the pitchers pitch you in the zone, take your walks, trust your eyes. He's shown he can take walks in the minors and earlier this season. He seems like Abreu because he wants to prove he can be a big time contributor he thinks he always has to be in hit mode. His numbers will come back around . When all is said and done maybe we see a .300, .365 , .475 guy , maybe better if he makes his adjustment stick.
