Cease pitched 124 innings last year. Realistically we are looking at 165 innings max for him next year. Might be another year of him being shut down early. If he is pitching well we night see him but if it saves the extra year we probably won't. If he blows the competition away at AA A he could be promoted around the 100 innings mark but even then I wouldn't count on it. They are really babying the kid and for good reasons.

Bob Nightengale wrote an article in 2013 about Machado when Manny was only 20. Yonder and his sister Yainee, the wife of Machado ,are also a big part of the article. For once I agree with you. The starting pitching doesn't even have a guy you can legitimately call a 1 or even a 2 starter. I think the offense will be fine with Machado and Eloy added to it . Bullpen probably not playoff caliber either. No really big gun .Just a bunch of guys who can either hit or miss but not hit huge but could miss huge out in the pen.

I have big doubts on Cease coming up early.He still is in the building innings stage. 1st time was last year he pitched above 100 innings. Sox are going to be very careful with him.

Well glad to see one person making sense. The reality is neither you , I and anyone else here knows anything about being a young famous athlete who hires an agent to negotiate the most important monetary decision of his life. You should not put stock in anything anyone says. You should not grovel asking people for info that cannot possibly help you in any way. There's absolutely no way to separate the wheat from the chaff. There are only ways to make you feel better or worse. Then you are pawns of every fake, prankster fraud and person that might have sources but the message gets twisted and misinterpreted as it gets passed around or even before it gets passed around. Will all this drivel make Machado or Harper sign where ever he signs any faster ? You're all masochists ! I say that in the nicest way possible. Carry on torturing yourselves.

If the Yankeees sign Machado he will be back and possibly even douchier than ever.
