Palk Smash is one of Benetti's best calls. It highlights his flair for the dramatic. Having a guy on the bench that can hit one out is important as is the LH power bat in the lineup at DH. Might not matter in the future but for now it brings some excitement to the team sorely lacking in that category.

Well LaMarre can play CF and Eloy can't so you are correct so as far as needing a backup CF . Not sure how good LaMarre is out there. It surely is the Sox biggest hole and should be a focus of the off season.

Eloy will just contribute to the Sox losing a better draft pick. Our 1st memories of him shouldn't be helping the Sox win meaningless games and losing draft status. Yes there are good reasons also to bring him up and bad reasons. The only thing that makes me want him up more than keep him down is he just deserves it. He's earned it.

I already proposed one of those in one of the threads in Future Sox before the podcast .Orioles have a good prospect at third base and I proposed trading from the OF depth since O's are starting a rebuild and might want more depth . Probably would be difficult to convince them to rid themselves of one of their best prospects but if we provide some quality and quantity you never know.
