Palk Smash is one of Benetti's best calls. It highlights his flair for the dramatic. Having a guy on the bench that can hit one out is important as is the LH power bat in the lineup at DH. Might not matter in the future but for now it brings some excitement to the team sorely lacking in that category.

Well LaMarre can play CF and Eloy can't so you are correct so as far as needing a backup CF . Not sure how good LaMarre is out there. It surely is the Sox biggest hole and should be a focus of the off season.

They want to make sure the Sox d They want to make sure the Sox don't win too many more games. Damn 4 game winning streak came at the worst time. Eloy will just contribute to the Sox losing a better draft pick. Our 1st memories of him shouldn't be helping the Sox win meaningless games and losing draft status. Yes there are good reasons also to bring him up and bad reasons. The only thing that makes me want him up more than keep him down is he just deserves it. He's earned it.

Said he had a few discussion about them in recent weeks, but that they are tough to do during the season, but they may resurface in the winter. Great. I already proposed one of those in one of the threads in Future Sox before the podcast .Orioles have a good prospect at third base and I proposed trading from the OF depth since O's are starting a rebuild and might want more depth . Probably would be difficult to convince them to rid themselves of one of their best prospects but if we provide some quality and quantity you never know.

Sorry I messed up on not starting the game thread. Time got away from me before i left for work . Don't start until 1 PM cali time and thought I had time to do it after I got to work and then was sent home and spent time grocery shopping and hitting thrift stores because I thought the game didn't start til 5 :10 my time when it was actually earlier . Game was already in the 3rd inning when I got home when i figured U still had a 1/2 hr or so to start the thread. So good job SS2K.

So I was looking at his stats throughout his whole minor league career and it appears he is a pretty good hitter. He's been in the minors since 2011 and is still only in advanced A ball and he will be 26 in February. I can only conclude that his defense isn't so good. Is this the case ? I can't find one bad hitting year for him and he has pretty good pop and his OBP isn't bad either. Help me out here please . I know he is old now for his current level but earlier when he was younger he put up some good seasons.

I'm not I just want to see him play ! But he was also injured last year in the DSL ? Missed a lot of time there also. Edit: He also had a meniscus problem in a knee and a sprained ankle in the DSL. Following almost the same pattern of his injuries stateside. meaning he plays well runs well then gets injured comes back and shortly thereafter gets injured again. All 4 injuries have come from running the bases.
