It's not listed as one of the free games of the dayon my MLB.tv app. As a matter of fact they had 2 games listed today as free games of the day so I was watching TB/Minn and it just stopped in the 3rd inning. I looked back at the schedule and it said cancelled. Guess rain showed up and they cancelled it really fast. Got to see Eloy fly out.

Obviously they lost the 1st 2 because I couldn't listen or watch. Planning to see if I can pick up the CHSN feed off my TV browser here in California ( shhh).

I think they're being as nurturing and supportive as possible to the young players. They got new R & D, new manager and coaches all buying into vision of the promised land. They were brought together at Project Birmingham and want them to be brothers fighting together to build a better future. The mean ol' grandaddy though controls the purse strings but he ain't built to outlast the grim reaper. We'll see how things progress starting Feb 28th until the old CBA expires.

Sosa, Vargas, Benintendi all DH types but need them in the lineup too if there's any hope of scoring a lot more runs this year. All 3 have to hit . No more room for Vargas and Sosa if they don't breakout.

Shane Smith's whole spring is important. The rule 5 is where you can pick up undervalued talent so what he does this spring is the determining factor for keeping him all year or cutting him loose.

Because I like baseball and I like looking forward to better times not wallowing in misery. I'd rather look at the 15 pitchers who pitched in the 2 games and say 11 of them didn't give up any runs. 3 HRs in 2 games and 2 of them came from guys not on the team last year. 6 of 8 pitchers didn't give up any runs against the Cubs 5 of them weren't on the team last year. 5 of the 7 pitchers didn't give up any runs against the Royals. All 5 of them weren't on the Sox last year. This is what coaches do. They accentuate the positive. Do you want your kids coached by guys who tell them they suck ? Kids become afraid to fail in sports because failure breeds negativity . They end up quitting rather than risk the hate that comes with failing in sports. They need to know you won't hate them like they see you hating on your favorite team yelling at your TV. If you understand that they are reflections of your actions then why wouldn't you want to be more kind around them so they aren't afraid to fail. It's like Lord of the fucking Flies in here. I get gallows humor but beating a dead horse because everyone's doing it is grim and horrifying. Kill the pig, bash it's head !

Caulfield been spreading that Melody Hobson BS forever. I found this on Reddit from about a month ago. Basically in 2021 the Ishbias bought somewhere around 5 % through Reinsdorf's sons SPV. The Hobson thing was never substantianted . Of course take this for what it's worth but it seems accurate based on the current situation. I don't know if what was bought by Michael and Jonathan Reinsdorf's counts as what JR owns. The whole family now could own more than the 20-25% that's reported as what Jerry owns.

How dare you say anything positive. I realize good fans are listening to the game but to feel the need to put everything you see down is weird to me. I thought when you love baseball and the Sox are the team you root for and knowing it's a rebuild you'd look for some positive signs. But can't discount people's needs to be miserable.

I was not actually making fun of Tray there. I thought the same thing at the beginning of the thread. I generally think it's good news but you're dealing with JR and a guy who just used the Twins to get a good position to own the Sox. Being level headed is prudent. But sure making fun of people makes you cool and funny I suppose if you're in 3rd grade.

Without getting ahead of ourselves I would guess yes.
